I Chanel eyeshadows, this quad works great with my eyecolour. I have to say I tend to use the brown the most. I wear it during the day with eyeliner and mascara. It makes my eyes look so dramatic. Its the perfect brown in my opinion, and I use MAC's brown down usually but it isn't dark enough.

Chanel eyeshadows are also so soft.

I tend to use the other colours more when I go out, the gold I mostly use within the corners of my eyes because it is fairly shimmery. I get compliments all the time when I use Chanel eyeshadows.

I didn't like this quad until the Chanel makeup artist showed me how to apply it and now I love it. It's a complex palette and does take some work to build and mix the colors. I mixed the gold and the bright pink on my lid for a great golden color and the dark drown smoke color in my crease. It is a more sheer buildable dark so I didn't have luck using it as a liner. I usually use the bobbi brown Mohagony shadow for a shadow liner. I love the light pink shade as great shimmery highlighter. I use this in the evening for a dramatic look - these shades definetly showed up on me but were not too loud. The color lasts and did not crease. Also, if you put the gold color over the smoke color it turns into a hunter green.

Ditto the reviews below which state the medium taupey brown is the only shade that is easy to work with and actually shows up. I do like that shade and find it very useful with my other Chanel shadows. I use it in the crease. The two pinks and gold are totally worthless to me. I have tried them both wet and dry with no success - just a lot of shiny glitter that ends up on my cheeks at the end of the day.

I love Golden Eyes! It takes a bit of work to build up enough color so that it actually shows up, but the result can be either subtle or dramatic. A great everyday shadow quad.

I actually hated this quad for a few months until I got a bit of a tan, and since then it was been my go to shade for work. I have found that if you layer the colors too much they do have a tendency to crease; however a light dusting is really fine and I use the dark brown as a liner. It's a nice quad if you want to look finished but not too "done".

ok, so here's the deal on this quad. I hated it with a passion for a very long time after I bought it. I didn't think that it stood up to the quality of the numerous other Chanel quads I own - the three glittery colors look the same on and I thought the brown was rather difficult to blend.
However; I recently (as in 2 days ago) purchased the ombre d'eau fluid shadow in source and now I LOVE this quad!!! With source underneath it as an e/s base, I now get a distinction of color with the pink, brighter pink and gold. So now I can see me wearing the heck out of this quad.

Yikes, what a waste of money. This is nothing but a shimmer wash eyeshadow that sends shimmery dust particles over your cheeks/face after a few hours. Bought this after a MA tried it on me, and convinced me that the colors were perfect for my complexion. After trying it out several times, I coudn't understand why I was not getting much pigment out of the 3 shimmery shades. I tried it wet, than layered, and layered again with no real results. Aside from the brown shadow for contouring or lining the eyes, the rest of the colors just add sparkle to your eyes...and yes, your face. I still love Chanel products for there chic packaging other quality products. I well definitely try out there other stuff, but this particular eyeshadow quad is not for me!

I got this as a present, and judging from all the other eye shadow quads Chanel has to offer, I was a bit dissapointed. Firstly, the only colour that does show up as it looks in the case is the dark brown color. The other 3 [Pale pink, a slightly more brighter pink, and gold] are basically like applying glitter to your eyes. The gold and pale pink hardly show up unless you apply several layers [the applicator that comes with it isn't the best to do this-it will hurt your eyes after a while]. As for the brighter pink shade, it is nothing more than just glitter. And ater applying it, it did end up all over my face after a few hours. So, if youre looking for the perfect brown shade and 3 glittery shades that will hardly show up on your eyes, this is the quad for you!!

This is actually my favorite Chanel quad. I was originally very doubtful about this golden quad, since I am cool-toned, but the colors in this quad are not loud at all, despite the glitter. The gold is so quiet in the sense that I can wear it as a lower e/l everyday without looking overdone; there are two pink colors, both with glitter, one peachy and one champagne. Since the difference doesn't really show up on my Asian complexion, I just fill up my eye lids mixing them together. The brown is the only matte color in this quad, and I believe that this matte texture really works well as an e/l with all the other glitters. Great for every polished look; for special occasions, it's gorgeous when accented with Shadowlight Chahut at the crease. Overall, highly recommended for AABs like me!

I usually love Chanel eyeshadow quads, but this one is disappointing because the colors are glittery instead of that pretty soft irridescent shimmer.

I'm giving it a 3 because the colors are still pretty. Just not my taste as they go on chalky.

Very expensive, not really worth it. I bought this because of that matte brown mainly. It seems like a perfect color for my brows. And it really is. I really dont like it as an eye shadow because it looks so muddy. Then the rest of the shades peach, pink and gold are all very shimmery. I dont like this shimmer. It is too grainy. I think these are nicely pigmented for Chanel though. Does not do much to me. I would not repurchase. My colouring: LLL, blue eyes and dark brown hair.
EDIT: I do find the brown in this quad more like a taupe when it is on my skin. I find this more flattering than brown in the spices quad.

This quad has a shimmery gold shade, a shimmery pink/lilac, a charcoal brown and a pale light pink.

This quad can be used in many ways for day-time as well as a sultry, smokey evening look.

Really blendable and pretty shades.

NC30--Asian

I use gold and pink/lilac on the lid and brown in the outer "V" with the light pink as highlighter--during the day I skip the dark brown "v"
