This is not only a gorgeous red nail polish but my boyfriend's favorite red nail polish on me so for that alone I have to give it 5 lippies! :) It's a true red shimmer with slight blue undertones and subtle gold shimmer. Application was easy and smooth, but I have the older non big-3 free formula and boy, does it smell stronger than the new ones! lol

Beautiful red colour. Shimmery and just gorgeous. On of my favourite reds amongs the dozens I own. This is bright without being garish on my dark tanned skin. I find it takes a while to dry completely on me after two coats so I make sure to follow up the second coat with my beloved Poshe topcoat which somehow seems to make the world a better place- kidding! - actually it just dries all the layers of my nail polish underneath in 10 minutes or less.

A bewitching, true red, as described below. I *can* see the gold shimmer in full sunlight, but it is very fine and, as others have said, more of a glow than a glitter. Is one of those rare reds that looks equally beautiful and rich in low light and full sunlight. Good for warm-toned skins. I get excellent wear; with Creative Stickey as a base and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri as a top coat, I can get a week on my tips without chipping. I imagine a pedicure would last ... forever.

This review may be premature, given that I just got this from H2T, but after quickly swiping it on a fingernail to look at the color, I really, really like it! It is just the deep, true red that I wanted for a pedicure for my NC25 skin. It almost appears to be a cream -- the shimmer is so subtle -- but it is such a beautiful color. I might have to redo my recent pedi for this color! It's probably too bright/cool for a nail color for me, but it will totally work as a pedi color! I haven't used CG polishes before, so if the qualify sucks, I'll amend my review.

This is a really pretty classic red with subtle gold shimmer in it. It's the color you grab when you just don't know what to put on your toes, it will always look good. This color is named after the Vision of Grandeur collection it was a part of. The quality of China Glaze is as good, if not better, as OPI or Essie. Their bottles are the easiest to open too. Love it.

I agree with all the glowing reports below. Gorgeous red that's warmed up a little, incredibly smooth application, and extremely glossy and reflective. The gold shimmer in the bottle is not apparent on the nails; it just has a deep glow like OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress. Has an almost metallic appearance. Great red polish--recommended!

This strong, shimmering, true red is striking against my fair skin. If the grade were for color alone this would get a 5. Coverage would also score well.
The problem was chipping. I applied the polish Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning I touched up 2 small chips (the down side of a strong color, any chip is noticable). Sunday evening I re-did a nail with a 2mm chip. I did minor touch-ups on Monday and Tuesday mornings. I removed the polish Tuesday night.
I will certainly use this on my less chip prone toes, but I would only use it on my fingers for an occasion.
****Update - since investing in Zoya Nail Polish Remover + Prep, Qtica Extended Wear Top Coat, and Qtica 1/2 Time Excelerator (I kept my Sally Hansen Age Correct Base Coat) this color now stays on. Shame it had to cost a small fortune.

This polish is a very rich, true red. It has gold shimmer in the bottle, but so far I don't really notice it on. It has an extremely shiny finish, and looks glossy on! The quality is excellent. You could probably get away with wearing only one coat because it covers well, and doesn't streak at all. With two coats you get a deep red. It's just gorgeous!

RAVE! my absolute hg red. not too dark, not too bright, not too blue, JUST RIGHT! i love the gold shimmer, and it looks gorgeous paired with ruby pumps. will get this color again and again!

This is a review of Visions of Grandeur red by China Glaze.
This red in bright light is nearly the red you may see in a semaphor when coming to a stop at the intersection. A bit darker. On me, it's slightly a metallic red that's very bright and dark. A very interesting color! I would say it's neutral with a deep shimmer within that's a lighter red. I don't see any gold on me although I do see gold in the bottle.
I found the texture, like Evening Seduction, to be way too thick compared to my less pigmented CG colors. I like a nice light coat of lacquer but this shade was very thick. I felt it was equally as thick as OPI and even thicker. I was a bit surprised.
This is the end of my third day and beginning of my fourth day with Visions. There is a small like 1mm chip on my left second finger but I would say the wear is fantastic! I have pics to shre if you're interested, zap me a message!

I'm really trying to hold onto my '5' ratings, saving them for real 'raves', and this one absolutely deserves it, IMO. A rich, sparkling 'warm'red, with a very fine golden shimmer. I just love it and would re-purchase.
