I bought this as I'm loving plummy purples for the autumn winter. First coat you can definitely see the plum. Second coat its barely there, just a blacky shade but with some warmth from the purple if that makes sense! Loving it, however the brush is awful so knocked a lippie off

My favourite China Glaze shade :-)
Lasts around 4 days without chipping, no need for a top coat as it is shiny on it's own.
Amazing shade, would recommend to anyone...only negative is the brush, China Glaze brushes are not as good as OPI.

OPI LPAD was my signature np for a while. I absolutely LOVE dark vampy colors. They are so my style, so I decided to try Evening Seduction by CG which is a few dollars cheaper than LPAD. I honestly can't tell a difference between the two. The only difference than I can notice is the size of the brush. OPI's brushes are big. Overall, I think this has replaced LPAD for me and has become my new signature np. The color and quality seem to be the same. If anything, I'd say I prefer evening seduction over LPAD. For some reason I just feel like it's more flattering, but I can't put my finger on why. Also, I find that the application is easier than LPAD.

Really great vampy, purple/plummy undertone, I love that it's long lasting, 3-4 days without chips, it's extremely shiny, no need for a top coat, I did not plan to purchase it, it was on a whim and now it became one of my fav polishes. I recommend this to all vampy lovers.

I bought this the end of summer to have it as my fall and winter polish, and I love it! It is the most gorgeous color and it looks like a plum color but with a second coat it looks black. It is a must have. I have half the bottle left, and use it so much. Buy it, and you will fall in love!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish! It will be my go to polish for Fall/Winter. It's the perfect shade of a burgundy, brown and slight purple or eggplant undertone. Two coats gives you the perfect vampy color and lasts long. Application was easy as the brush wasn't to wide. Totally recommend if you're into dark polishes and don't want to always do black.

Very pretty alternative to a black, I topped this with Orly Love Each Other and really liked the result.

Love! Great dark plum purple. Perfection in two coats. Don't let the first coat scare you away, the second coat works everything out. I got nothing but complements when I wear this. Def purchase again!

Love this colour for my toes for fall 2010!
Really dark redish purple? Almost looks like black!

I love this color! I don't particularly like it on my hands during the summer, but I love it on my toes! This color's fabulous for the winter & fall, on both hands & feet, though! This color's basically a black plummy color. On the verge of BLACK but still evidently plum. Of course, with two coats, you get its truest color and under some lights, it looks black, and in others, it looks plum. Again, as many have mentioned before me, it's comparable to OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark and that's what I originally wanted because my cousin had worn it on her acrylics, and I fell in LOVE :) however, ULTA was having a deal on their CG polishes (buy 2 get 1 free) and I figured why not just get this one? And I'm very satisfied with the color. Fast drying time, creamy finish, vampirey look. Love it. I would repurchase.

The first time I used this I was horrified! The first coat was sooo streaky, I thought it would take me hours to get it right, particularly because of the depth of the shade.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I put the second coat on! Just total perfection, completely even, great depth of colour, but just enough of the plummy purple coming through to stop it being black. And none of the sludgy brown that sometimes underpins this type of colour.
My husband loves it as well!
It still freaks me on the first coat every time I use it, but the second coat works its magic every time.
Love it!

This is my first and only bottle of china glaze nail polish. I found it very smooth and not thick. The color is very nice i like it for my toes but occasionally on my fingers but it stains since it is dark. This polish only began chipping after about 4 days which i think is really good.

I know everyone says that this is a dupe for OPI's LPAD, but I find that it is very similar to the same line's We'll Always Have Paris. Both turn an almost purple black on me, which I love. Application is super smooth, but it somehow gets everywhere! Once I clean it off the sides, I get beautiful dark nails that are great for winter. Love it! :)

Evening Seduction is an incredible shade, and definitely one for the vampy lover in me. This is a deep rich eggplant/plum .. somewhat similar to OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, with a little less black to it, but still dark and sultry. Application is perfection on this, and 2 coats gives me a gorgeous deep mani that's perfect for fall and winter. Applies perfectly, wears well, hugely happy with this beauty!

I paid $3.25 for this little bottle of sexy oh so worth it. The perfect blacken plum very vampy. I only needed one coat on my short finger nails. I tried two coats on my toes but it looked flat black. So I'll only do one coat from now on. I'm an OPI worshiper but China Glaze has caught my eye with this one. Would I buy it again? uh yeah!

Lincoln Park After Dark from OPI has been a go to color for me when I'm looking for something dramatic and dark to wear. When I saw Evening Seduction I was impressed with how similar they were. Since CG is a couple of bucks cheaper than OPI and only 1 ml less product, I decided to go for it and I was super impressed with the result. CG can go on thick if you aren't careful about your application, but with 2 coats of careful application my nails looked awesome. At the time I had LPAD on my toes and holding them next to one another I couldn't tell the least bit of difference. I think I might just make this my go to dark color from now on!

loveee this color! i've gotten so many compliments from friends, random classmates and even a teacher on this color. it's a gorgeous dark plum bordering on black and it has amazing staying power. i've had it on for about 1 week now and it has not chipped at ALL. the only problem is when you apply the first coat, it goes on a little streaky. the second coat takes care of that but makes the overall color much darker.

I hated this, my first time using China Glaze. I've only read one other nail polish blogger mention that these new formulas are thick/gloppy, but I thought I'd take my chances, since glowing reviews abound.
Sooo...it went on thick. Because it WAS thick. Lotion thick, but not old polish thick. I probably could've stopped at one coat because I achieved bottle color (and such a delicious color it is) right off. But noooo, I went to two, out of habit, but even after a coat of Seche Vite, this stuff just would not dry. I got a tip smudge that went down to the nail and two dents. Lots of cleanup, needed, too. Majorly bummed.
If this is what I can expect from ChG, then no way am I buying more. I'm scared to try the other bottle I bought- "VII", a lighter version of this one (great color descriptions below) for fear of sobbing (*melodramatic sob*).
I can't help but compare this to my previous mani, WnW's Femme Fatale from their Rock Solid line, which went on like a dream, dried quickly, and could've gone a couple more days, giving me a full week of a great mani. For half the price.
If this stuff is working for you, I applaud your mad skillz!
Edit: I posted this N00b review when I first began my nail polish obsession, and I've long since become a ChG fan. I'm leaving it up because it makes me laugh. That was 200 bottles ago!

The most perfect plum color! You have to be careful though, because if your coats are too thick this will just come out as black. Two thin coats and a top coat will do. This is maybe my favorite China Glaze polish.

This is my new favorite polish at the moment! It's a very deep plum, almost black. When the light is not hitting your nails they look pure glossy black, but when they're illuminated, they're a gorgeous eggplant cream. Be careful with how many coats you apply though - 2 coats is true-to-the-bottle color, but 3 coats masks most of the eggplant and will look plain black. It is easy to apply and dries impossibly quickly. The excess polish on my cuticles also came off quickly, leaving me with a perfect dark, vampy manicure.
I got a ton of new China Glaze colors on Head2Toe Beauty for $2.99 each, but I think I'll try 8ty8beauty next, which has them for $2.68 (that extra 31 cents adds up if you buy a lot). This discounted price can't be beat!
