I have hair dyed black. Black liners tend to look really fake in my brows. So I use dark brown and it looks pretty natural. I use this liner and an angled brush to apply it. It looks nice and lasts all day.
5/24/12 update: I have since switched over to Milani. This does smudge and move a little through out the day. Meanwhile Milani does not move at all.

This is a review for the color MINK. This is a great little eyeliner. I use it to fill in my brows as well as line my eyes.
Its a very soft pencil which has a tendency to smudge , so I definitely use it more when I am expecting that to happen. Of course it smudges more in warm weather than cold and I wouldn't use it to heavily line my eyes for a night out, as I don't think that would work very well with the smudging.
All in all, I always use it up and reach for it everyday.

Horrible. i bought it because of the reviews here, but it wipes right off after application, and won't even apply to my waterline. will not be repurchasing:(

This is the best waterproof eyeliner pencil for the money ($2-$3). Prestige also makes good eyeliner pencils but they are harder to find. These are so popular at my local Target that it's always out of stock.
Make sure to get the waterproof version, not the cheaper version, they are not the same. For some reason the waterproof version is leaps and bounds better than the other version.
I use the Dark Brown on a daily basis for work. I also have the black which I wear on the weekend or to parties. Dark brown is a rich, dark brown. Black is very black which is too harsh for wearing to work. For the price, you really can't find a better eyeliner pencil. You can buy 5 of these for the price of one MUF eyeliner.

I own several of these eyeliners and I love the dark brown just as much as the others. The price is awesome for the quality! I have been purchasing these eyeliners for about 7 years now and I just low the results and staying power. My only compliant is that they don't apply as smoothly as some of the higher end liners do.

I will never spend more than four dollars on a dark brown eyeliner again thanks to this little beauty. I wore it for 12 hours without any noticeable fading, and the color payoff and ease of use are on par with expensive brands found at Sephora. I didn't wear it on my waterline and removed it pretty easily with warm water and my regular facial cleanser, so I can't vouch for it being waterproof. But if you need a good pencil for cheap, this is it.

This is a review for NYC waterproof eyeliner in Mink (which looks like dark brown). I've been using this eyeliner for more than a year and I couldn't give it higher marks. I had previously used a Clinique eye liner, but started looking for a product that was less expensive. I read the reviews about this liner and thought I would try it out. I couldn't be happier with it and with its price. I have oily eye lids and I live in a hot humid climate and it stays on. Great product at a great price! The shade of brown also works well for me, as I don't like overly dramatic eyes or like looking like I'm wearing a lot of make-up.

I've had a stick of this fovever and i lost it and then found it and fell back in love with it. Like another reviewer who gave a completely horrible review I have oily skin and wear contacts but it doesnt budge on me. I went on a 2 hour walk came back all sweaty and oil and it still looked amazing. GET IT. And the plus side is its cheap. :D

Ok, I had really high hopes for this eyeliner... even though it was cheap. My skin is very oily and I wear contacts so its hard to get eyeliner to stay for more than a few hours. The smudge end on this liner is what hooked me. I love a smoky eye... after a few hours this product made me look like a racoon. The product literally slide off my eyelids. If you have combination or dry skin this would probably be a great product. However, I won't be repurchasing and suggests those with my skin type don't buy it either.

On a scale of 1-10 this is for sure and 11! It is an awesome standard pencil eyeliner. It has very good color payoff, you can tell they packed lotsa pigment in there. What really blew me away was how smoothly this glides on, it just rolls on basically. It stays on all day, and comes off easily with eyemakeup remover. And for only $3 its a steal!

My favorite eyeliner. The price is good too. It lasts all day and is really easy to apply because it goes on so smoothly. Definitely recommended.

Love. Love. Love this product. I first was curious about this product after reading about it in Seventeen magazine, so I bought it for about $3.99 at Target. On upper lids, the product goes on soo smoothly, for rimming the waterline and lining the lower lash line, the color payoff was pretty good. I use this in the mornings because black is just too harsh for me, and this gives a wonderful deep color to accent my eyes. For something this cheap, I may just stick to it! Never will I have to pay $20 for another lame department store brand ever again!

Goes on moderately well- it could go on a bit smoother but it stays well on both the waterline and lashline. Great staying power and easy application. Dark brown is a nice soft shade for me (I have blue eyes and dark brown hair, eyebrows, and lashes), but is still dark enough to emphasize my eyes. Oh, and you can't beat the price!!

Well... I suppose that if you have a normal skin tone and your eyes don't water that this is a good product, judging from the ratings. But if you're like me, this is only semi-decent. I prefer my make up to be extremely low maintenance and I don't like having to check up on it - I also want it to last 12 hours or longer. I have oily skin, oily eyelids, and watery eyes due to my contact lenses. While this had a nice texture and was very easy to apply, it smudged within 6 hours. And yes, I did try using concealer and pressed powder to set it. It didn't work on either my top lids or my water line. I was disappointed, and will not repurchase. I have several friends who love this product because it's dirt cheap and won't smudge on them at all, but I personally would not recommend it. However, I also might be expecting way too much from make up...

I was so hopfull... the first day I wanted to write you all and sing it's praises. Better then high end liner etc.
But today just lounging around the house. It disappeared right off my lower eyelash line, within a short time. What a bummer. Tomorrow I will try again and top it off with ID shadow liner. Maybe it will help.
I still think this is a great liner but not HG. Even on the inner rim, not better the smashbox's or Kohl from Guerlain. I wanted a pencil liner for inner rims. As the gels tend to dry out . I am so jealous of the ones who get the wear out of this.

This stuff is great. It's very smooth and creamy but it doesn't give me an issue with smudging.

I finally found my HG eyeliner. I always had trouble with the smudgieness when it came to eyeliners. When I saw this at Rite Aid, I was really curious about a waterproof eyeliner. I didn't expect much but it really surprised me! I love it so much. It doesn't smudge! The color is really nice also, not too harsh.

I bought this eye liner after reading the reviews. I found a good, dark chocolate eyeliner. It really lasts for hours. The only problem is that the liner is a bit soft in summer and I have to be careful appyling it.
The liner also needs sharpening every use. I love the dark brown color.
Black is too harsh.

The rich, smooth dark brown color of this waterproof pencil liner is definitely less harsh and much more natural than a true black. I love the texture and application of this liner. I use this eyeliner for tightlining and it works very well, but I have yet to find a waterproof eyelining pencil that does not have ANY transfer to my lower waterline. However, the transfer of this product is a bit more than MUFE Aqua Eyes, but for the price, I can live with this. MUFE Aqua Eyes pencils currently run $16 and these run under $4!!! A tip on reducing the amount of transfer would be to make sure it is truly set and dry before blinking or allowing your lids to touch. I am glad it stays put so well and I have found that this is not that difficult to remove when I use my regular makeup remover and a microfiber cleansing cloth. It seems that the only liner that truly does not transfer is a waterproof liquid like WnW H2Oproof liquid liner, but I prefer the ease of a pencil. So, for everyday use, this fits the bill well. You do have to sharpen these and remember to keep them tightly capped. I highly recommend you try these! I have them in both the Dark Brown and in Black and love them and will definitely repurchase!
