Pretty on the shelf, but a total waste of money. First coat, streaky. Second coat, new streaks. Third coat....... grrrr. Forget about it.

I really like gargantuan green grape but it is definitely not the colour for everyone... It is an extremely bright minty green creme that I wear when I feel like making a bit of a statement... Definitely not for the faint of hear but grit a gorgeous colour that wears well and only took me 3 coats which I find fairly average of most nail polishes... It is also fun to later with! Try a bright multicoloured glitter polish over the top if you really wanna turn heads :)

I adore OPI's Gargantuan Green Grape because it makes a statement that so few can pull off. It goes on smoothly, requires two coats at most and boasts a statement that say "...yea, ah? My cardigan's green too....so?" Granted, I pair mine with a matching cardigan. I keep my make up neutral as not to look like slimer from the ghostbuster movies. It's a funky twist on those Mondays that just don't stop letting you down. If you have a heavy yellow tint, this may not be the color for you!

While it's not for everyone, I really love this color. It's a pale, creamy, retro minty seafoam green. I've been in search of a good mint green ever since I thought China Glaze's Re-fresh Mint leans too blue (and kind of chalky), and this fits the bill—distinctly green, kind of celery-ish. It's kind of bright, but still kind of cool... if that makes any sense. The formula does sort of suck; it definitely takes three coats with careful application to look good. (Polish amateurs beware!) The first coat is pretty streaky, and from then on it can get pretty thick and gooey. It gets kind of bubbly and less appealing if you apply too thick of a coat, and again, careful application with a steady hand improves your chances of having a decent looking manicure. Also, a nice top coat helps a lot to smooth things out. I'm willing to deal with the frustration only because I love this color and haven't found another just like it. So, in short: love the color, not the best formula on the planet.

GGG is from the Brights collection released in 2005.
I ordered online, hoping that it would be a pale pastel green (like a minty green) It is not - it is more of a lime green - so more yellow based than blue based.
Not what I was looking for but thought I would give it a try anyway, It lasted one day on my nails as I really did not like the colour. I had it on in the office and every time I looked at my hands I squirmed. If I had a darker polish in my bag that day, I would have painted over it! I removed it as soon as I got home (urgh)
I have scored it a 1
- on account of the colour.... I did not think it was flattering at all!!! I usually like greens - but not this one!
- and the formula, application was not good, about 4/5 coats.
If you like yellow based colours don’t let my review put you off. I will not buy this colour again, I probably will not even wear this colour again

This color is gorgeous! I bought this a couple a weeks ago at Ulta because i was looking for a pretty minty like green color to wear in summer. This color looked quite sheer but after 2 coats most of my nails were completely opaque, with only one or two needing a 3rd coat. Drying time with my Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat was pretty fast, though the top coat did turn the color slightly more yellow. My only big complaint is that no matter what i do, some of my nails bubble. It isn't incredibly noticible, but up close you can see it. Even so, the polish is true to color and it lasts so well and compliments my skin so pretty that i will continue to use it.

i'm re-reviewing this slightly.
this is a bright, luminous, neon lime green with a HINT of paleness when it's fully built up. it's unexpected! this is such a beautiful colour.
however 1 lipstick MUST come off for it needing 4-5 coats.
this is the kind of polish that you have to want to sit down and layer, otherwise steer clear because you can find other colours which are similar but have white in the formula, so will be thicker but will only need 2 coats. they just won't be as 'neon' but more 'ice cream' instead.
this also stayed on my nails for a long long time, which may be down to the fact that this was a thin formula that was layered on.
for me, the layering process is worth the colour result. so overall, i'm really enjoying this colour. i'm happy to have it in my collection and would definitely repurchase.

OPI, I am so disappointed in you for once! The formula on GGG is just awful - watery, thin and rather slow drying. I couldn't get it opaque - even at 3 coats I was still unsatisfied with my progress. In the bottle it appears a pastel light green perfect for Easter/spring. Against my NW15 skin it looked like the color of chalk, with the yellow tone becoming more pronounced. I would not recommend or repurchase. To use it up I will try to use it in nail art I suppose!

Pretty bright grassy green color but awful formula. It applies streaky and very sheer. It takes at least 3 coats to achieve bottle color and dries slowly.

For an OPI color, I actually expected alot more than what I got from this color. I think it's a really ridiculous color. It barely shows up on your nails after 3 coats of it. I definitely won't be recommending this color to anyone. I think it's a waste of 8.50 to be honest.

This is a pretty colour in the bottle but that is the only good thing about it, becuase the formaula sucks so badly. it is really sheer and streaky at the the same time as being too thick and gloopy which i never thought was possible, but you know. it is just such a pain to apply and when i do apply it it doesnt look nearly as pretty a as it does in the bottle. To top it off the packaging was faulty and the cap got stuck on the bottle and i couldnt get it off for like 3 months. it was just not what i was expecting due to the usual high quality of opi polishes and i was really dissapointed

I'm an OPI junkie and I love almost all the colors I own, this one is a huge fail. The color in the bottle is so fun and unique. On the nails it's a streaky, sheer mess. The formulation is terrible. I had to apply 3 coats and it still wasn't completely opaque. For $9 I want something easier to work with. I would not repurchase this color but will others.

I'm very disappointed in this polish. It's VERY runny, and I have to put way too many layers onto it. Way too sheer for my taste. Gets all over around my nails when it runs. Frustrating!

This is totally not my favorite color, ever!
In the picture it looks very fresh and bright color.
In real, it's bright but in the same time it's too pale, too white, too much yellow tone.
The color is sooo monster.
The formula also super duper horrible!
and it also reminds me of OPI elephantastic pink.
Dry longer than any OPI and if you apply too thick, the suck bubble will come out like it was cheap nail polish.
You'll need to be more patient if you want to get the color bottle(3 coats and need to wait to completely dry for each coat =,=)
Since I bought this color, I used to combine with CG crackle (crushed candy) n it turns much more interesting with silver shatter. I totally won't buy again!

This is a great color. It stands out from other greens, and really makes my nails pop! Took 2 or 3 coats but applies well.

So disappointed by this polish. The color looks so cute and fun in the bottle but it ends there. Like other reviewers have already mentioned, the formula is quite streaky and runny and full opacity doesn't occur until 3-4 coats. Also, after wearing this polish for only *2* days, I had my index finger polish chip off 3/4 of the nail which has NEVER happened with any other OPI polish (I had applied OPI base coat and Seche Vite as a top coat). It might have been a fluke but was very disappointing considering the price. If you are looking for a great mint green polish my recommendation would be Re-Fresh Mint by China Glaze... they aren't super close but it fills my need for a mint green and the quality is 100x better.

I ordered this because I was looking for a matte nail-polish. The consistency of this sucks, somehow doesn't cover the whole nail with color so you have to do multiple applications, and looks like chalk once it's on. I don't know if the other OPI nail-polishes are like this because this was my first OPI polish. Pretty much hate it.

Okay, maybe my expectations were really really high, but i expected more from this nail lacquer. Considering it is OPI and they do run a tad expensive, you should be getting your money's worth. I think my main problem is, is that my hands get red. Especially in the wintertime. And red hands + green nail polish does not equal beautiful nails my people. I really like the colour though, and it will probably be better in the summer when my hands aren't red, haha. Don't let the first coat scare you, after the second it looks nice, 3 coats if you want opaque. It also dries fast, which is a nice plus!
Edited to add: definately looks better when my hands are not red!! gorgeous :)

I really, really, really love this colour! I was searching for a mint-y green in the OPI line and missed the boat on a few shades, until I found this one. It wasn't exactly what I was after, but it turns out that this shade suits my skin tone very well.
The downside for me echoes pretty much what others have said - I don't feel that this formula quite lives up to OPI's general quality. The polish was relatively streaky, and was initially very sheer. It took 3 coats to achieve the desired colour, to match how it appears in the bottle. Having said so, once I got the colour right I fell in love with it!
I would repurchase because the colour is adorable and suits my skin tone, but I sincerely hope the formula is perfected. I wonder if this shade will be available for long, anyway?!
