Smells like jasmine. Which i guess I don't like that much but I don't hate it. I don't see how anyone could use this as a two in one. You need conditioner otherwise you gonna look a hot mess. Lathers well. And gets the hair really clean.

While I usually like the scent of most LUSH products.... This is NOT one. I reeeally wanted to like this.... great concept, great ingredients, and I love the scent of Jasmine.... so much that I even named my Himalayan kitty after this heavenly flower. I purchased this to try out even though I wasn't thrilled with the cold sniff test at the store, hoping that it would smell better or different after wet. Not so, can't detect any Jasmine at all, but I seem to be in the minority here. I'm disappointed and can't get passed the smell, but still love you LUSH.... and happy to see others are enjoying this shampoo!

I am a long-time user of Lush products and this shampoo bar is a recent repurchase.
I do enjoy the smell, which some have said doesn't last long, but I find if you only use the shampoo and let your hair air dry (which I do with my natural waves from time to time), the scent is always present.
The lather is wonderful and works great at cleaning your hair for a solid shampoo. The bar does claim to be a 2 in 1 and condition as well as cleanse. With thicker, colour treated hair, you will need a conditioner post shampoo. Really enjoy the smell, the lather and the overall effect. Hair did feel softer and easy to style but required further conditioning.
The price isn't terrible, but can be misleading because you feel that for $11.95 CDN, you are not getting a product that will last. A little truly does go a long way with this bar.
Since the repurchase, it has not left my shower. Very pleased with it.

I love the smell !!! but it doesnt last long:( i didnt use conditioner after cause the lady at lush told me it was a 2 in 1 and due to my oily scalp i didnt need extra conditioning ,I also love how it didnt take much for me to get a good wash on my thick shoulder lenght hair I will repurchase this to travel too, I will prob try Jumping Juniper since its made to balance oily scalp and also since it smells like Lavender

I like the smell of the Jasmine, it's very strong though. I would use it as a shampoo but not 2 in 1. I had to use a conditioner after this as my hair was left too dry.

I love the smell of jasmine so scent wise it is perfect for me. The smell lingers a little bit in my hair, I however would love for it to have a strong linger. It says it is a shampoo and conditioner in one but this tangles my hair to much for me not to use a conditioner. My hair feels wonderfully soft once it is dry if I don't use a conditioner, but the notes just aren't worth it. I jus use any conditioner after wards and my hair is soft, smells faintly of jasmine and I can brush my hair easily.
I bought a tin to put it in and was told to put a piece of ribbon into it so that it is easy to flip the tip of and absorb the water if the puck is still a little wet. This worked amazingly for me so that is what I would suggest you do as I know many people complain about the puck getting stuck to the bottom.
I would my a lush solid shampoo bar again but I want to try another one. They are great to travel with and that is when I use mine.

I'm a fan of Godiva. It's easy to use, one bar will last me a month (I wash my hair every morning) and I enjoy the scent. Godiva does not dry out my hair (I have very dry/damaged hair) but I don't have the same results as alot of others. I still have to use a conditioner afterwards. I've since moved on to Trichomania because I need more moisture, but I would buy Godiva again.

I started bying LUSH becuase I am practically homeless, I work in peoples homes and I travel a lot, I need my stuff to be travel friendly, I dont want any leaky bottles in my luggage. So I went to LUSH asking for something that smells like Jasmine. They gave me this and Flying Fox. Many points that I already wrote about in my Flying Fox review are the same as here. But first of all this shampoo dries out my hair terribly. I also have Soak and Float and my hair loves that one (and i do love the smell of that). Other point is that when I go swimming the smell of pool water + Lush Godiva or Flying Fox = smells shit. I was embarrassed to walk around smelling like that. I felt very uncomfortable about it. I Love jasmine but this is way too sweet for me and strange combined with my favorite hobby.

As everyone else has said, this shampoo/conditioner bar smells gorgeous. I had never used a shampoo bar before, so it was tricky the first time. A few swipes and I had a lovely lather going. What I found odd was how it left my hair with that squeaky clean feeling. Considering the moisture it has, I was expecting a little more slip. I paired it with American Cream and my hair STILL felt tangled and snarled while wet. After an application of leave in conditioner, a VERY careful comb out and a blow dry, my hair looked lovely. It actually even looked a little brighter. Other than the brief hay like feel afterwards, I am happy for now.
The LUSH SA gave me a great tip: After using the bar, dry out the tin and sit the bar on its side in it until it is dry. No sticky, mushy mess!
UPDATE: I have been flipping my hair back and forth like a Pantene commercial to get a whiff of Godiva's wonderful scent. Surely I am not the only one.
UPDATE again: I discovered that it was actually the Snake Oil bar that was making my hair tangled, after just using this, I had better results.

I just simply LOVE Godiva. The smell is absolutely gorguous. So sweet and intoxicating, and I can smell it long after I washed my hair. After I shower, I put the bar in my bedroom on a tray to dry so the whole room smells like heaven.
It lasts quite some time but I can imagine it falling apart when it's almost finished. I think that's because of the little pieces of conditioner in the shampoo.
But the smell isn't the only reason I love Godiva. I also love the concept of solid shampoobars. They're easy to transport, don't take much space and are good for the environment. What more can you wish for?
I never use conditioner after using Godiva (wouldn't want to ruin the scent) and my hair is perfectly soft and very healty. I leave it to dry in the air and only comb it through AFTER it's dry. So no problems with tangles. I do have to add that my hair does not reach to my shoulders, so that probably has some effect as well.

My hair was getting pretty dried out and so I decided to switch up shampoos to see if anything would change. I'd tried a few LUSH products and was intrigued by their solid shampoos, so swayed both by the saleslady and by the wonderful scent, I picked up Godiva. The improvement in my hair is absolutely noticeable. It has been less dry, softer, and more manageable since I started using this and the fragrance is lovely. (Despite the 2-in-1 label, I too still use a conditioner afterwards.)
My biggest complaint is about how to store this - it has melted a little and stuck completely inside of my LUSH tin, but I think keeping it in a soap dish would be worse. Oh well. Would definitely recommend this shampoo.

This was one of the first solid bars I purchased from Lush along with Trichomania.
If I had to choose between these 2 bars, I would definitely stick to Godiva. I have dry hair, and this feels good on my hair. Even though it is supposed to be a 2x1 product, I have never used it without applying conditioner after. I adore the smell, so fresh (and lasts until next wash). It also lathers really well and lasts a long long time.

This smells amazing! But unfortunetly the smell fades quite quickly. And unlike the other solid shampoo bars, this one falls to bits very quickly, and doesn't last as long.
If there was a liquid shampoo which smelt like this I would be right there.

Smells SO good. Love the jasmine scent. I know this is a 2-in-1, but I still use conditioner (Suave hydration) with this shampoo because my hair gets really dry and frizzy and am trying to let my hair air-dry all summer. I will purchase again based on scent alone!

I love this product! I am a girl with a short pixie cut and mildly wavy hair. This made my hair really soft and took away all of my fly aways. It also didn't make it look oily, just healthy. I really enjoy this product because of its earth friendly packaging and great sent! I HAVE told my friends to buy this and I will continue to buy it after I finish the bar I am on!

I'm really sad that I can't purchase this product again. I love the smell, love that it's a two in one, and I love that it's a bar! So easy for business travel trips which I do a lot. I don't have to worry about making sure I have less than 3oz! However, the last time I got my hair cut, my stylist said "What are you using on your hair?! There is so much residue!!" She told me to toss it because on curly hair this is drying - it's true, I had been using it for a week and felt like my curls needed hydration.
I like the smell and the way my hair feels when it's DRY. When I get out of the shower though my hair is super tangled and I don't like it. I have thick, curly/wavy hair. Looks like I'll be sticking to bottled shampoo.

I switch between this and Ultimate Shine.
I love that this is solid, so i don't have to fret about putting it in that tiny 1-qt bag if i'm flying.
I love that this is solid, so when i'm travelling for performances (by car or van) it doesn't weigh much or take up much space.
I love the intense jasmine scent and i love how easy it is to use. It leaves my hair clean and shiny and smelling good and well behaved. As moisturizing as Godiva is, however, my butt length dry hair needs extra help, so i use LUSH Retread.
.
I have no problems with Godiva becoming soggy or dissolving. There are a few tricks to using LUSH solid shampoos that are not difficult to learn. First, don't leave it in a place in the shower where the running water will melt it - i look for a drier area in the stall or tub. Second, let it dry after use, don't leave it "marinating" in any liquid that got into the container while you were bathing: I have one of those little round LUSH cans - you can use some other container or even a zip-loc baggie - and i leave the bar standing upright on its edge while i use it - and after use it doesn't take long to dry.
.
Heck, when i was a kid, shampoo came in glass bottles because there were no plastic bottles until the 1970s - now glass could *really* be a problem in the shower. If we could learn to deal with glass bottles in the bath, you young'uns can learn to use LUSH's naked products appropriately.

EDIT: This product is very stripping for your hair (PACKED with sulfates). I wouldn't use this daily anymore - maybe just for very special occasions and pampering.
I absolutely love this product. After buying it, I rushed home to use it for the first time. It was a bit unusual rubbing something that felt like soap into my hair (which we all know is hair suicide). Once I got it into my hair it began to lather so well! It felt so lovely and LUSH in my hair. I've never had something lather so well in my hair. Prior to using this shampoo I was using the Schwarzkopf with keratin treatment in my hair which was extremely annoying to get it to lather (you had to use a lot). I got so addicted to the amazing lather abilities of Godiva that I washed my hair TWICE (which I never do). The smell of jasmine was also DIVINE.
Once my hair was dry my hair felt clean and smelt great. I woke up the next morning and my hair was still clean and smelling fresh. People complain that its not conditioning however, I disagree. My hair gets unbearably oily if i don't wash it after 2-3 nights. For the first time my hair actually feels just as clean as the night before. Its very shiny and I can't help but obsess over it in the mirror and running my fingers through it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
The only cons really would have to be the packaging. I don't like leaving it in the shower because of the constant moisture in the air so I keep it in some tupperware with some tissue paper at the bottom. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with this product. I
ts a hair miracle for me.

I just love the smell of Godiva, and the smell does stay in your hair for some time. At first I thought the smell was very familiar and was trying to make out just what it is, but when I passed a bubble tea shop, I realised that it smelt of Chinese oolong tea (or thereabouts). Then I realised it has jasmine in it, and yes, there is Chinese jasmine tea too. So there you go.
It really does its job well and leaves your hair not only soft but fluffy as well, and it defines wavy hair very well. The bits of white cocoa butter in the bar is moisturising, and as I see it, I think the bar can last for a while. Just remember not to use the tins for it, if you aren't bothered to dry the bar, because it will get stuck to the tin, stuck like glue! (like my Green solid bar did), and if you prise it out like I did with my Green solid bar, it'll all be mushy and slimy- still usable, but horrible to look at (especially the Green bar). So having learnt my lesson from the Green bar, I now store my Godiva bar on a regular soap dish with those slates underneath that drain extra moisture and allows air to circulate. The Godiva bar is really dry between shampoos, even though I shampoo every day, and sometimes twice a day. Will definitely repurchase. Just love this one!
