The application was as smooth as metallics and shimmers always are for me but it was a bit sheer so I did three/four coats. I generally expect sheers/metallics to act like this so this isn't necessarily a criticism, especially for $0.99. Beautiful spring color that isn't a pastel though it could also work for fall.

NYC's Big Money nail polish is a metallic, foil finish, green. NYC Defines it as a frost, but I disagree. I purchased my .45fl oz bottle at Rite Aid for .99.
Packaging is basic. Nothing eye catching or flashy, but it gets the job done. The bottle is small, round, and made of glass. The cap is black plastic. The cap hasn't detached from the top of the brush yet. The brush is very long, thin, and quite flexible. It takes three strokes to cover my nail.
The color of this polish is pretty. The first two coats are pretty similar to the dull green color of money, the third coat is more of the color of play money.
This is a three coat polish. The first coat is incredibly sheer and barely deposits any color at all. The second coat adds some more color, but its still very sheer. The third coat finally makes it wearable, however its still quite sheer. I suppose thats what makes it a frost finish. I still call it a foil though. The finish is very shiny and pretty.I like it.
Big Money takes about 1 to 1:15 minutes to dry, decent dry time. This polish doesn't claim to be a fast dry.
The wear time for Big Money is pretty poor. I've gotten a maximum of two days worth of wear. Fail. It's usually much less. A few hours to a day. The polish starts wearing at the tip and chipping in the corners almost immediately. After a few hours, the edges come up and the polish peels off in one big piece, usually unprovoked. I'm obviously disappointed, first off, since this is supposedly a "long wearing" nail polish, and secondly, because I've had several polishes from NYC's Long Wearing line, and they all are practically indestructible. Sometimes I get more than 10 days of wear. How amazing is that for a buck?
I forgot to mention the formula of this polish. Like most foils the formula is thin, but Big Money's is exceptionally thin, runny, and watery. It tends to collect in the corners and pool in certain spots.
Overall, NYC's Big Money is a definite skip. The color and finish are pretty, but it's wear is so poor its not even worth a dollar really. Instead spend you .99 on another NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel. The glitters are especially good. Big Money was a fluke in a good, affordable line of polishes.

I loveeeeee this nail polish. Like my other NYC nail polish, it's only $1. The color is absolutely STUNNING for spring... I personally think it looks better on than it did in the bottle.
It takes a couple of coats, but how difficult is it to take a few more minutes and apply an extra coat or two.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish and color :)

I bought this green to wear to a Harry Potter event. It's a very nice Slytherin green that looks amazing with my skin color. I mostly use it on my toe nails in the summer and it lasts forever. I love this color.

I had absolutely no problems with this polish. It was opaque in two coats for me, and I always use a great base coat and top coat, so they just about never chip on me. This isn't what I would call a "money" green, though; it doesn't have any of that yellow tone to it. Very pretty, non-streaky color!

I bought this bc I wanted a green shade for spring. At only a dollar, it's perfect for a season, and no big loss if I hated it. It turned out a lot more metallic and a little less green than I thought it would. It takes a couple of coats to make it not see through, but more than that to make it opaque. It looks darker in the bottle than it does on my nails. Not sure about wear time bc I've only had it on a couple of days. All in all, I'm happy with it.

Considering the pricing for this product, you can't really complain about it's quality. But then again, i really have nothing to complain about it other then it's a bit to sheer for me. But look at it this way, you can just do 1 or 2 coats of this baby and you'd end up with an amazing end result. The color's definitely one that i can match up with any of my outfits making it very versatile. Also for it being the price that it is, it gives me up to 5 days of lasting power before it starts to look "dull" and it doesn't really chip away until the 6th day (with a base and top coat of course).

The color is really nice but that's really the only good thing about it. It's very thin and takes a lot of coats to make it opaque, the brush is hard to use in my opinion and after a day the nail polish peels off in one pig piece.

This color looks nice in the bottle, but the formula is so thin and watery it takes a long time and many coats to get it to look like the bottle color. I gave mine away. NYC nail colors are definitely a hit or miss, some are great and some are just bad.

DISCLAIMER: So far I've only used this as a pedicure shade. My boyfriend bought this because he wanted to paint my toenails green. This is a very pretty medium/dark slightly warm side of neutral metallic green - it's very much like the darker green on older U.S. dollar bills, actually. It's lasted 3 weeks under OPI Top Coat with no chipping or peeling. I probably wouldn't have picked this for myself, but I like it enough to keep. C$1.92 @ Main Drug Mart.

love.
it's kind of a metallically green, imo, with a definite gold flash.
basically a standard run of the mill polish- I didn't have any significant problems with the formula-in a gorgeous color. for only a buck, it can't be beat.
baddies:
sheer- it took me 4 coats until i wasn't bothered by the sight of my nail through the polish. (layer over white or another color to make it opaque)

I like the color, but it's a bit too translucent for my tastes. I can't speak for the price as it was a gift from a friend of mine. I really like the color, looks like it'd be great for St. Patrick's day or as a nice spring color! I will be using it again in the future!

I bought Big Money for St. Patrick's day, and have to admit that I was a little disappointed. It's not a "creme," which means it's meant to be translucent, so it takes three or, sometimes, four coats to get it to be bright/opaque. It you're looking for a more subtle spring green, however, it's a nice color after only two coats. Like other N.Y.C. long wearing enamels, it stays on for about a week with the top coat. Unfortunately, once I got down to less than half the bottle, it seemed to get thicker and was harder to apply, but at only $0.98, I just bought a new bottle. No biggie.

While the shiny, yellowish green color of this polish is nice, the formula is terribly runny. I couldn't get an even color to my nails until 3 coats because the polish kept pooling in spots!
This would be a good product for short-term wear, such as a fun holiday color, but if you're looking for a serious green polish, I would look elsewhere.

Great color. Note though, this has a bluish hint to it (not yellowish), so if you're looking for a bright lime green, this isn't going to be it. It's more of a soft "jungle green" color. Very metallic with bright glitters and shimmers in it. It goes on very sheer (I thought it would be more opaque) with the first coat, so you have to layer it on to get the full pigment, which is a little irritating cause the polish is kinda runny. But still, great green if you want a bright green color without going as drastic as the popular neon-green trend!

Bought this when I was 14, back when it was still just a number, before it was dubbed 'Big Money', 6 years later it's still going strong at a perfect consistency. I lovelovelovelove this green.
