WOW! Why all the bad reviews? I have oily skin and this is just perfect. Cleans well w/o stripping. I don't wear any makeup except for blush, so makeup removal is not an issue. Lathers well, rinses clean. Smells a bit medicinal, but who cares. It works w/o a bunch of chemicals.

This is just OK. I feel it isn't a powerful enough cleanser for me so I use it in the mornings. It definitely is not stripping or drying. I don't think it does what it claims to do and I don't see any difference. It smells very nice, foams well, washes off easily. I don't recommend this if you are remotely oily. This would be a nice cleansing gel for dry skin.

I feel pretty middle of the road about this cleanser. It does smell good like cranberries when it foams up but a bit chemically too. It did not help to clear up my breakouts very much but is still pretty strong and can be drying. My husband used mine one night and the next day his face looked all dry and flakey and he has great skin normally! It gives a deep down clean feeling but is just too stripping.
All in all it's not bad once in a while for a squeaky clean, but is too drying for regular use. Neither does it make a profound difference on breakouts for me, so I probably wouldn't repurchase.
UDATE: I went back to this again after Philosophy Purity didn't get my face clean enough and had started breaking out. This feels so squeaky clean and since its spring it hasn't been too drying yet because my oiliness is coming back. Raised it 1 lippie cause it looks like I'll be going back to get another bottle....

This is my first review ever. At the moment I am on the hunt for a new cleanser that will clean up the mess this cleanser has left. At first, I LOVED this. Even bought a second bottle. I started noticing that I've been breaking out around my chin area. Thought it was just because my "cycle" was coming up. Not the case. At this very moment, I'm about half way through my second bottle and I'm switching back to ProActiv. I wanted to give this a go because I've heard great stories about it and I LOVE natural products. My skin looks horrible right now. I have a major break out around my chin area with big pimples and on my cheeks I have all these tiny little bumps & the texture looks aweful! I have a huge pimple on my left temple and a few spots on my forehead. Before this I was using Proactiv but didn't like how it dyed my washclothes and the parabens in it. Now, I don't care. I just want my clear skin back :(
p.s. My boyfriend even made a comment that this is the worst he's ever seen my skin look. . . we've dated 5 years now. . :(

This is a review for the White Cranberry Cleanser.
I really liked this one. After a couple of days, I could see that it was helping my acne.
But alas, this was not meant to be because, after a few days, I could also see that it was triggering allergies. So, I have to put a big no for buy again.
On to the next....

I loved the original MyChelle Cranberry Cleanser! Unfortunately, they changed the formula when it became White Cranberry Cleanser, and it doesn't perform like it did before. Why must these companies change things? I really wanted to continue purchasing MyChelle skincare, especially because it's a local company for me. I was a little shocked that the bottle for this item wasn't coded for recycling. Sorry MyChelle.....bring back the original Cranberry Cleanser and I will return.

I love this cleanser! My derm wanted me to use a cleanser with glycolic acid and Salicylic acid so I bought the one at his place. BUT I didn't like the parabens in it so searched for a natural version and HERE IT IS! My skin feels fresh and clean. No new breakouts and clearing up old ones. No dryness either but I think because I am use to the ingredients. My old cleanser had 2% aha and bha and this one has .05%

This is great stuff! Gets my skin squeaky clean and doesn't break my skin out. Also gets rid of all makeup as well as sunscreen! Smells wonderful, like roses and cantaloupe, and the price is great in that not much product is needed. Only a pearl size drop as suggested on the box gets my face totally clean. This can be a bit drying if I use too much. Look forward to using this during the warmer/hotter months since my skin gets really oily then. EDIT 3/30/09 You know that song "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash with it's "and it burns, burns ,burns like a ring of fire. A ring of fire." chorus? Well if I use too much of this cleanser, like double the pearl size amount suggested on the box, that's the kind of reaction I get. This stuff cleans like an industrial cleaner and strips skin of all it's natural oil and leaves it dry like a naked desert. On days when I want my face cleaner than the afore mentioned squeaky clean then this is the product I use. I've also noticed that if I use this too much it dries out my skin and makes it look really taut and flaky dry in spots. Not good since I'm starting to get fine lines. But still I think this will be great in the summer time when it's hot and my skin goes into overdrive in the oil department. Giving this a 4 now instead of the original 5. Might buy again and might not since I've switched to using MyChelle's Apple Brightening cleanser.

I cant even believe I bought this cleanser because its about $18. I never spend that much on a cleanser. Ive been changing the products I use and tossing all my toiletries with chemicals so I figured I would splurge on this...and Im happy that I did. First of all you dont need to use a lot so it might not end up being such a splurge because I use so little. Second, there are no harsh smells, no burning or redness and most importanly no dryness. My skin has been purging since using a different product(Collective Wellbeing Hot Pore Warming Scrub) and thsi cleanser seems to be drying up the pimples and even helping a little with the red/brown marks left afterwards. The only other products I use are a moisturizer with SPF during the day and jojoba oil at night so Im not mistaking the effectiveness of this product for another. Im very happy with this cleanser and will shell out the cash again and again...even though it still hurts a little to spend that much on one item. LoL
UPDATE: Im starting to believe that this cleanser isnt the reason for my skin looking better. Whenever I use it my skin gets really dry, especially around my chin/mouth area. I started to use the Collective Wellbeing scrub less b/c I didnt have a lot left and that was a mistake. It must be the scrub thats so good for me. I did read somewhere that this cleanser disrupts the skins ph balance and that you need to use a toner after, so maybe thats my issue. I dont know if Im going to use this again.

I sort of do like this product. I have been buying it (versions of the cranberry cleanser) off and on for the past 3 years. I find that if I use it exclusively, it does dry out my skin which then will cause more break outs. I have to be careful and only use it in the mornings or less. I'm not sure if it is effective as it claims to be, but I think it does make my skin feel smoother -- a result of the glycolic acid content I suppose. My skin doesn't feel tight after using which is nice and you do only need a teeny tiny amount (like the size of a shirt button). It does remove makeup nicely as well. It is a little pricey, and overall not my HG cleanser. I think if I found something that worked a bit better I would stop buying it.

This product was a total bust for me. It totally dried out my skin, and gave me horrible cystic acne and whiteheads around my nose. The worst I've ever had in that area.
I checked the ingredients recently, and sure enough it is filled with chemicals. I didn't do the legwork to see if they are irritating chemicals or not, but my guess is that the mixture of so many ingredients caused a reaction on my skin.

White Cranberry Cleanser review: I have been using this product in the morning, and the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) at night. It is the perfect complement to the OCM.
This has been the most effective "organic" acne treatment I've used; in fact, the only effective treatment. I'm not sure I would use it twice a day, everyday, but it works wonderfully for my purposes. (I think it should be used with a toner... and it smells vaguely like beer, haha. But it works! And the smell washes off.) Great company, great products.
Ingredients: Sodium Hydroxypropylsulfonate Laurylglucoside Crosspolymer, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Amaranth Protein, Decyl Glucosides Hydroxypropyl Sulfonate, 1% Glycolic Acid, 0.5% Azelaic Acid, 0.5% Salicylic Acid, Totarol, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Juice, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil*, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Oil*, Citrus Racemosa (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil*, Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide

This review is for the white cranberry cleanser--is that the same thing?
Anyhow, this really works for my mostly oily skin. I like foaming cleansers and this foams well. It has a subtle citrus scent, and good ingredients, like glycolic acid and tea tree oil. One lippie off though for
the high price--though you only need a little to wash your face.

The original cranberry cleanser was great. It was the only cleanser with acids that did not irritate my eyes and cause my skin to be dry. The reformulated product (without shea butter) caused my skin to become so dry that it cracked around my nose. The original was my HG cleanser, and I am very disappointed that my search has to resume.
Original Formulation: Aqua (water), shea butter (butyrospermum parkil), sodium lauroyl lactylate, disodium laureth-sulfosuccinate, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, 2% salicylic acid, 2% azelaic acid, 1% glycolic acid, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) fruit extract, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil, totarol, organic citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil, organic cymbopogon schoenanthus (lemongrass) oil, organic melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, actinidia chinensis (kiwi) seed extract, xanthan gum, beta vulgaris (beet) root extract, ethanol.
Reformulated Ingredients: Sodium Hydroxypropylsulfonate Laurylglucoside Crosspolymer, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Amaranth Protein, Decyl Glucosides Hydroxypropyl Sulfonate, 1% Glycolic Acid, 0.5% Azelaic Acid, 0.5% Salicylic Acid, Totarol, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Juice, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil*, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Oil*, Citrus Racemosa (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil*, Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide (From MyChelle website)

I'm so disappointed but this cleanser is not working for me at all. Instead I noticed new small red pimples on my cheek and I don't usually break out there. I really wanted this cleanser to work. I've been only using it for 3 weeks so maybe I have to give it some more time. I shall update later..

I really like this cleanser, and I have seen an overall brightened appearance in my skin. I have way less breakouts, too, and it seems the oil level in my skin is balanced. My only complaint is I had to buy another exfoliating cleanser to do the job of exfoliating my skin at least once a week. Also I still have blackheads on my nose, so its not perfect. Oh and it smells amazing !

Washing with this, along with using the Mychelle toner and clear skin serum has really helped my skin a lot. Usually I only use it at night and use California Baby Super Sensitive in the morning, but when PMS sets in, I use it morning and night.

This is the second bottle I've bought of the cranberry cleanser. I like that it's got anti-bac agents as well as salicylic acid. It says you have to make sure to tone afterwards, so I use a mixture of vinegar and water (50:50). It contains a lot of acids to slough off dead skin, so it's probably not very gentle. But right now I just feel like blasting the acne away, so I like this.
I alternate it with my Dove Sensitive in the mornings.
I like that Mychelle products are cruelty-free, and supposedly natural.
Edit:
I went back on Tretinoin, and this was too much exfoliation (and scent) for me. I wish it had worked, but I didn't like that I also had to use a toner afterwards. What a pain.
I do still like Mychelle's line (especially her purpose and the cruelty-free all-natural approach), but this just didn't work out for me.
