This is a slightly darker than a true red shade with gold shimmer. There doesn't seem to be a lot of shimmer in it though. It is very similar to China Glaze's Wild Thing! only without as much shimmer. I'm in love with Wild Thing! so this isn't the color for me.

This is a great shade for fall. The color is very unique. I would describe it as a reddish brown with copper accents.

This is a great autumn red. If you're not into the vampy stuff, but still want something darker than summery pinks and corals, this is for you. It has subtle gold shimmer to add depth and interest. This is a good, basic color to have in your fall beauty arsenal.

OMG - Love it, this is my first OPI and am seriously impressed with their quality, it went on like a dream and is so glossy. I keep looking at my nails and smiling, you would think I've never seen nail polish before. The colour on me is a coppery red, the copper sparkle (I know others see gold, but I see copper) gives it a deepish berry shot to it. I can't say how it wears as I have just put it on and was so impressed I had to review it straight away. It was because of this site that I got this colour and am so glad I did. FYI i'm a NC25 and it really suits my skin tone. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.
EDIT: In natural light it's more of a brick red with a gold shimmer - stil beautifull still loving it.

I have to agree with Pam_Too, who said this is a nice, business, polished color. I have been looking for a red that can go from office to evening without looking odd... colors like I'm Not Really A Waitress look glaring and tacky in the daytime in an office setting, and other reds just look too boring. I love this one and am so glad I saw it on a friend in some pictures of her and asked her what color she was wearing. I can't wait to try it on my toes!

Words cannot describe my delight over this colour. It looks boring in the bottle and I almost regretted getting it. I wanted to try it though and I'm so glad I did. On my nails, this very average red turned into a classy deep, shimmering glimmering red just enough gold to keep it interesting. It's not loud but a very confident colour if you know what I mean. It's perfect for both party and work. I love it.

I agree with the last reviewer. This red isn't bright and flashy. It's a medium red. My bf said it reminded him of BMW car paint lol - I think it's more like the color of a candy apple, but with microspecs of gold shimmer (you'll notice the shimmer if you look at your nails under a light). Very nice ^^
FYI: NC25, dark brown hair/eyes.

Love it. It's simultaneously understated and bright. I have very dark olive skin and love wearing this on my toes and short finger nails. OPI has the best shades.

LOVE IT! this was the color I was searching for! I wanted a summery, non-vampy red. Charge it in Milan was too dark, smoking in havana was just plain bad on me but this is perfect. the shade has been pretty well described already-in fact the reviews are what led me to it. I am pale, slightly yellow toned and I had a terrible time finding a lighter red with a gold shimmer that wasn't too bright, too orange, too pink or too dark but this is perfect. Even DH commented that it was pretty and flattering!

I love this classy, understated, warm red. It has just just a hint of shimmer, and looks wonderful with my neutral/warm LLL skintone. I would easily wear this on my tips, it's not what I would call bright, but it definitely is red. A gorgeous color for anytime of the year.

OPI That's An EL Of A Color.
I love this red shade: medium slightly toned-down shade of red, with a tinge of brick to it. Slight gold shimmer which is almost invisible on, except that it adds a "glow" to the color. Gorgeous! And I was formerly a "nude polish only" girl. lol It's perfect on my slightly tanned MMM neutral olive skintone. It's muted enough to not scream RED, on my skin. It's perfect for a business "polished" look. Not overly "in your face" sexy (as some blue reds and clear toned reds can be), not "vampy", not threatening (as I find some dark blue reds to be, lol ie, ala Marlene Dietrich), not loud (as some bright warm reds can be on me), and yet not boring. It's a very fresh, confident, executive professional, stylish/chic type red. I think neutral to warm and olive skintones will radiate with this np shade.

This colour is true bright, deep red. In the bottle it has gold shimmer but I didn't really notice it once I put it on. Up close you can notice there is a bit of shimmer though, but it is minimal. I would say this polish is creme finished with a tiny hint of shimmer. I prefer more shimmery colours, but this one is very gorgeous! I'm warm toned, and this colour looks great on me. It's also lasted for quite a few days without any chips or wear!

This is a gorgeous fall red. It's a deep brick red with the tiniest hint of golden shimmer. The shimmer is very minimal but it keeps this color from being a boring creme. The application was flawless and it wears very well. I went bowling with it on and had no chipping or wear along the tips. This may become a HG red for me. I'm warm-toned this is perfect for me.

This is one of the most wearable, gorgeous, modern, rich reds I have ever found. It is a dark brick red with a beautiful golden sheen to it. I have been looking for a red to wear on my finger nails for years. I did not want anything too bright or my grandmother's red polish. I wanted something hip, sophisticated and updated, that I could comfortably wear during the day and wear for dressy evening occasions. This is the color! It looks so classy. It obviously will be stunning for pedicures as well. UPDATE: I just used it for a pedicure with my slightly tanned skin - it looks with the bronze tint to my skin! It is a nice change to the usual spring/summer pedicure colors and looks great with all of my sandals.

this color is a deep red (a hint towards brown toned) with gold shimmer. A great fall color, very rich.
I found the application to be nice on my toes.

I have finally found "my" red among the many red nail polish shades. It's great - not too flat, not too metallic, not as gaudy as 'Waitress' or as preschool-bright as OPI red, not burgundy or raspberry or dark pink - nope, it's "my" red, meaning it goes with my hair, skin, etc. If you're an "Autumn" I'd definitely recommend this!

This is an el of a color, lol!! I bought Marooned on the Magnificent Mile, too, and I like it better than this one. But! This is gorgeous, too. It's a deep red with teeny tiny gold sparkles, we're talkin micro small here if that makes any sense. The gold dresses this color up and makes it more than a plain ol' deep red. Great for fall, I'm loving this Chicago line!!

Very pretty red-brick with gold shimmer. Simply gorgeous and I can't seem to stop looking at my fingers. This does look a little different on the nail than it does in the bottle, but not by much. Awesome fall color! This is a favorite for sure!

StellaBird's shade description and comparison to OPI Smokin' in Havana is so bang on I can only say "ditto!". I love how the gold shimmer is a such a nice complement to the warm red which together make a great fall polish . Thumbs up OPI!

A warm, brick-red, with a slight golden shimmer. Just beautiful and very wearable. At first I thought it was too similar to Smokin' in Havana, but it's much redder. If warm reds are your thing, grab this one.11/4/05 UPDATE: According to a reliable source, this is a deadringer for Chanel's Barcelona Red.
