This looks like such a pretty colour in the bottle that I bought it even though there was no tester available. I was so disappointed to find out that its a very sheer colour with very fine glitter. The only thing it can be used for is as a top coat over pinks coz even two coats of this is very very sheer. I've hardly even used this since these days I'm leaning more towards creamy opaque colours. Don't know when I would even reach halfway with this bottle so repurchasing is out of question.

I love Pink Before You Leap! It's like a pink version of Hollywood Blonde, which is one of my all-time favourite polishes. It's a silvery light pinky micro-glitter. It's almost see-though except for the glitter. The glitter isn't like conventional glitter - it's very very fine and subtle. It's like icing sugar vs. regular sugar, much more refined and soft. I can totally wear this alone, but it's also great as a topper for other colours.

Pink Before You Leap is a soft sheer shimmery light pink. While this shade is not particularly special (and I tend to prefer brighter colours), this is a great work-friendly shade for both fingers and toes. Despite the fairly pedestrian colour, the shimmer manages to be subtle but still interesting - I'm not quite sure how! I actually like this shade a lot, which is quite unusual because I generally dislike pastel colours and they tend not to work well with my fair cool skintone. This one doesn't clash with my skintone at all but instead looks polished, subtle and still pretty.

Application was smooth with the consistency of the polish being easy to work with. This is definitely a sheer shade, 1 coat gives you barely any colour and I usually need 2-3 coats to get a bit more base colour and to up the shimmer factor a bit. Nice glossy finish without topcoat and 3 coats lasted me over a week before noticeable chips, though the shade makes chips very un-noticeable in itself - particularly good as a work shade for busy periods.

A definite repurchase for me, this is a lovely classic colour without being pedestrian. I also use some sheerer glitters over this so that bare spots aren't so obvious. A lot of other reviewers use it as a topcoat and I'll have to try that some day.

This sheer nude pink nail polish is packed with tiny white/silver shimmers. It's so sheer and flattering, and you don't have to worry about your nail polish chipping. One coat looks nice already, gets extra shimmery if you apply 2 coats.

I absolutely love this color, its a very sheer soft victorian pink and has fine to medium sized silvery sparkles. Colour goes on smoothly and looks like a softly tinted shimmer. This color is perfect for fair skinned gals (like me!) because it does NOT make the skin surrounding the nail look orangey. The quality of the polish is great too, I've had this one for at least two years and the consistency is still very fluid. This polish does have a tendency to separate though, but once you roll between your hands for a bit the consistency and color return to normal (i'm guessing this is because it has 2 large metal stirring balls inside). Definitely recommended!

I was disappointed when I bought this because the color in the bottle is GORGEOUS and that's what I wanted but, like others have said, on its own its a yucky transparent pink with loads of silver shimmer. But it definitely redeems itself as a topcoat, perfect for layering over other pinks. Imagine transforming your favorite pink creme shade into the perfect shimmer. That's what you get with this polish. Oh, and as a topcoat it makes manis super chip resistant. Wouldn't repurchase, but this definitely wasn't a total bust.

I rarely wear sparkly nail polish but purchased this one on a whim. When I'm feeling too lazy to do a full on pedicure, one coat of this makes my toenails look finished. It's a barely there pink with micro glitter. Not teeny-bopperish at all. More often, I wear it over other shades. It looks especially lovely over OPI Java Mauve-a and Dulce de Leche.

OPI's Pink Before You Leap is a sparkly very light pink-based top coat (IMO). It's so sheer there's no way you'd be able to get bottle color without a huge number of coats of polish. As a sparkly top coat, it does the job of adding some interest to any otherwise-boring polish. I use it over a couple of creme polishes that just need "something extra." It applies well without bubbles and lasts the usual OPI length that I get out of other polishes (five to six days). I'd buy it again if I needed a sparkly top coat but this will last me quite a while.

This is a polish I can't be without. I LOVE it. When I originally got it, I didn't realize it was sheer and was a bit put off. However, I use this as a top coat over practically EVERYTHING and it adds such an awesome glittery sheen without being obnoxious. If I am tired of a color I have on my nails but am too lazy to take it off, I just throw PBYL over it and it's an instant pick me up. I am on my second bottle of this and I hardly EVER get through one bottle of any color, let alone re-buy. This is awesome!

Very nice SHEER pinkish nail colour. Looks great on its own if you like sheer colours.

On its own, a sheer pink with silver microglitter. Not very pretty alone, but layered over my pink polishes, it gives them some depth and sparkle. I LOVE this as a layering polish!

Like all others, this is a beautiful top coat, crappy on it's own. I like to use this to add glitters to other colours (dark or pinkish). Pretty decent I'm not sure if it'd buy again... Would give it 3 and a half actually. Gonna try this over APN and see how it goes@! ETA: Looks fab over APN, I love this as a top coat!!! Will buy again!

Looks like crap on it's own, it's a light pink-clear topcoat with glitter sparkles with microglitter. If that even makes sense, it doesn't show up very well on your nails. I LURVE pairing this over light pink colors just to make them pop, and to give it demension. I will buy this over and over, and hopefully they never DC this odd polish.

PBYL is a very sheer, pale pink with pink glitter. It is really best used as a topcoat, and adds glam to other pinks when used this way. The glitter is quite small, and the finish is smooth to the touch, not rough like some glitter polishes.

Delicate little sheered out, sparkling lilac-pink...I find it's more useful as a topcoat - so far I've liked it best over Orly Naughty (as a topcoat over something as deep as Naughty, PBYL appears mostly as silver shimmer). This is still sheer with four coats, I will probably never wear it on its own again. Nice for an innocent, girly look - but much more useful as a topcoat to add a little glitz :)

Interesting very sheer glittery pink from the ’05 Brights Collection. Seems like more of a top coat to me than a color to use alone. I'm not really keen on the roughness the glitter imparts to the texture but that can be overcome with a nice thick layer of clear top coat. I tried laying it over Passion for NY Fashion, Galapa-ghost, Pink-ing of You and Hawaiian Orchid. I like it best over G-G but if you're looking for a real spiced up look try it over PFNYF.

Pink before you leap is a sheer berry-toned cool pink tint with mica micro-glitter. Used in french manicures it will stain the white tip quite pink if you layer it on top (even with one coat), so you might want to use a brighter white (Alpine snow) instead of a more sheer white (Desire) if you want the tips to look white. I also tried Pink before you leap layered over Glacier bay blues for toes. The pink didn't show at all, but the mica micro-glitter really lit up the deep blue color, like a starry night sky. The glitter is not of the big chunky kind, but more of a "invisible until lit" kind if you know what I mean. I like PBYL a lot and would love to get my hands on the other two (Up front and personal & Dazzle me) as well!

Now this is a wonderful pink! Pretty and girly as well as sharp and dignified. The sparkle(micro glitter) adds just the right amount of fun and glitz to a softly pearlized pink. Think pink bubble gum(but the faded version...ABC type). Actually, the way the glitter effects the pink reminds me of those sheer wire type ribbon, you might use to wrap gifts. Yes! That's it! It looks like organza!! Just beautiful, I tell you!! Must buy!!

Also from the Brights collection, but also not very bright. This is another one of the deceiving ones from this collection. Pretty much a medium pink glaze with corresponding glitter. This one actually has SOME color to it after two coats, but it's just not all that exciting and is probably better off as just a glitter topcoat. I would not have bought this had I seen it in person first.
