So, I guess I'm in the clear minority here since I really love this product. To be clear, I'm reviewing the white bottle of remover, the thin lotion consistency. I find this remover both highly effective, but also soothing and cooling on the eye. I use this on a cotton ball, and it removes all my layers of eyeshadow, eye primer, liner, and mascara with little effort. Just a tip- no need to squeeze the bottle to get this stuff out, just tip it over and the lotion is runny enough that it will come out, if you squeeze you might have a mess on your hands. My experience with this stuff has always been positive, and I would happily buy this product again. I should add that I never wear waterproof mascara, and I have never had sensitive skin or eyes at all, so this wouldn't be the first time that others found something irritating and I haven't had an issue.

Tried once, it's quite ok, but personally I think loreal's make up remover is a little bit better than this....because nivea's remover makes my eyes hurt a bit. Compared with this one I prefer nivea's remover lotion more. :)

For three consecutive mornings - woke up with swollen red "piggy" eyes. Occasionally a large gin and tonic has a similar effect - but as no gin had passed my lips for some weeks I tried to work out why I looked like I'd done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Blood shot eyes, swollen eye lids and huge bags! I had to cancel an appointment for an eye brow tint as I was so self conscious about my red swollen eyes! It took longer than it should for me to work out that this was a major allergic reaction to something I'd not previously used. Suddenly I remembered the last few nights of discomfort and burning when removing my eye make up with a new bottle of Nivea eye makeup remover. I bought it when it was on offer - never again!!! I always thought Nivea had a name for manufacturing gentle cosmetic products. Not this one!!!!! As someone who is not prone to allergies I suggest Nivea seriously consider taking this off the market - it shouldn't be allowed anywhere near eyes!

Just to be clear, I'm reviewing the liquid, clear eye make up removed in the blue bottle.
I'm not a great fan of this.
I wouldn't say it stings if I get some in contact with my eye (easily done considering its an EYE make up remover!) but it does cause a bit of irritation, and it always make the area around my eyes feel tight. Also I always find I have to really rub the lashes to get the make up off which can't be good for my eyes and lashes.
This isn't the absolute worst eye make up remover I've ever used but I doubt I'll be buying it again.
One good thing would be the packaging. It's kind of a flat bottle so ideal for easy storage or taking with you if you're going away.
I will continue to use the rest of my bottle, I'm about half way through, but I'll be returning to my usual creamy eye make up removers after.

Nivea Visage Eye Make-up Remover-----
It BURNS!!! Usually I just throw some makeup remover onto some paper towel and voila, makeup gone. This stuff says not to get in your eyes but of course I am! (I actually didn't read that part until my eyes stopped burning). It got a lot of the makeup off but it is going in the garbage :(

I don't know why but the bottle I have is white and for all skin types. I love this stuff, is my second bottle and it last a very long time. It removes mascara quite easily and I don't have to use a ton of it. Just two tiny drops on each eye. Also it doesn't irritate my eye nor is it oily and doesn't leave residue behind like other removers have done in the past.

This eye makeup remover didn't work for me. Mascara would still be in my lashes.

I believe mine is the same as this stuff, my bottle looks different but it is for all skin types, it is a white cream. I really love this stuff. It takes all my eye make up off with no problem, it doesn't leave a greasy residue and doesn't irritate the eyes. I will definately buy more.
I was given this free from Elle Canada to blind test for their readers choice awards, so the labels are completely covered and I was to use them for 1 week, I tested wipes & lotions, some from Lancome, Marcelle and Biotherm and this was my hands down favorite

1. It removes eye make up if you swipe it enough times, but I have to use two cotton pad sides for one eye. Because the lotion is so runny I also have to work it around the eye to not get the stuff in my eye (which irritates).
Mascara still sheds after removal with the remover.
Would not purchase again because I find Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover to be a lot better and leave eye cleaner, softer and with a better smell.

Reviews seem to be mixed here so to be clear I'm reviewing the white bottle- Nivea Visage Eye Make-up Remover.
I expected more from Nivea. I am a firm believer that eye makeup remover should not burn if it gets in your eyes... this one does! It doesn't really seem like a makeup remover. It feels like watered down plain lotion. It works just as well- good luck getting that mascara off... It's not over oily like some removers and doesn't dry either, but that's the only good thing about it. I wouldn't buy again, even for the clearance price I bought it at.

This it the worst eye makeup remover ever.
I wipe this on the cotton-pad and it removes shadows + eyeliner + but not mascara.
Even if I do it several times, it doesn't remove it.
If you erase it with your fingers, (rubbing it on your eyelids and lashes), it removes more, but still, it doesnt remove make up even after several trials.
Oh, and if this gets in your eye, it stings like heck.
DONT BUY THIS ITEM.

**Nivea visage eye make-up remover for waterproof and long-lasting makeup. White bottle.
It removes MOST of my makeup. It does burn only IF you accidentally get it in your eye. Which I usually follow with a shower, and qtip some of the product and swipe any of the excess off my top lip and undereye. Though if I shower later, I notice some of the (leftover?) makeup remover (like what you would see on the cottonpad after removing the eye makeup) under my eyes (Which I assume is from blinking..?) Not a big deal, quick swipe with some of the product on a qtip.
I will tolerate this until I run out, will not be buying again.

*Nivea Waterproof make up remover with chamomile*
This is excellent, wonderfull with gentle ingredients,it never burns my eyes, believe me my dermotologyst recommended this for me!
You will have some problems with waterproof make ups but actually all the eye make up removers have the same problem.
You should first wash your eyes and massage gently and then use this,no panda eyes ,no traces of makeup and as I read the ingredients it has an eye moisturizer effect ,you can read and judge.
Aqua, Isohexadecane, PEG-8, Glycerin, Poloxamer 124, Paraffinum Liquidum, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chamomilla Recutita Extract, Bisabolol, Steareth-20, Ceteth-20, Sodium Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Glycine Soja Oil, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trisodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol

I've been using it occasionally. It's been quite good at removing eye make-up, though I never remove my eye make-up first with eye make-up removers. At first I just wash my face and then remove any traces of make-up that are still left. This remover won't be good as your first step if you use quite a bit of make-up. It doesn't do the job properly. It does remove the traces gently thought. Why am I never going to buy it again? I have discovered that I get the most perfect "gorgeous" red eyes the morning after! Last time I used it, I got an eczema spot on my eye lid. That was it. I have binned it and am never going to buy it again. It's gentle and good if you are not overly sensitive (I am not actually) and if you don't use much make-up.

Not very good...I wear pencil eyeliner + waterproof mascara + brow pencil + eye shadow and this removes mostly the brow pencil and shadow with maybe 75% of the mascara and almost none of the eyeliner (and this after being brutal to my eyes and swiping 10 times and rubbing it in well).
Also I wear contacts and this leaves a greasy film that clouds my vision for minutes AND gets my eyes irritated and bloodshot! To the trash, I'll stick to my Neutrogena Oil-Free Remover.

This review is for "NIVEA VISAGE Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover" - the white bottle. I usually use a makeup wipe to remove my makeup but sometimes I don't like to waste a wipe if I just did some stuff on my eyes and nowhere else. That's where this comes into play! I like this because it's not an oily concoction like most makeup removers - it's a creamy lotion. It feels nice on my eyes, doesn't sting, works well and leaves no greasy feeling afterwards. Can't ask for much more! I like the packaging too - the small, 'flat' kind of bottle is great for travelling.

I used to use this when it was in different packaging (pale blue tube with a screw cap) and I absolutely loved it.
I dislike using liquid eye makeup removers on a cotton ball or pad, because I feel like I am tugging at the delicate skin around my eye, which can't be good. I've also found that liquid eye makeup removers -- which you have to use a bit sparingly unless you want them to completely saturate and drip down your entire face -- don't remove every trace of eye makeup.
Well, this stuff is a creamy lotion that doesn't require tugging and pulling at your eyes. If you use it generously, massage it gently onto your closed eyelids, let it sit for a few seconds, then rinse off with lukewarm water, it gets everything off with no irritation.
When the packaging changed, I thought the product had been discontinued, and I have been looking for a replacement ever since. Right now, I have a tube of Neutrogena's eye makeup remover lotion. It's the same texture, same idea as Nivea's, but it doesn't work as effectively to get the makeup off. Still preferable to a liquid, in my opinion, however.
Anyway, now that I see the product is still made, just in different packaging, I'll be getting more as soon as I finish off my existing Neutrogena. Woohoo!
UPDATE: So, this is not quite as good as I recall. It stung my eyes a tiny bit when I accidentally got some in them. It is more fluid than the Neutrogena MU remover, and so can be a little difficult to handle. I think with practice, though, it MIGHT be just as good. The new packaging is more convenient than the old, for sure. But it doesn't seem to instantly dissolve my eye makeup the way I remember it years ago. That may be my memory, though, and not the product's fault :)

Rubbish! This is one of the worst eye makeup remover for me. Does not remove anything but eyeshadow which means if I wear eyeliner or mascara then this stuff is useless. Can't remember how much I paid for this, but don't think I'd get it again even it's free.

Worst eye makeup remover I've ever tried! As others have already pointed out, it doesn't remove makeup adequately (especially mascara, and I never wear waterproof stuff). I always wake up with black residue under my eyes. The worst thing about it for me, though, is the stinging and burning feeling, which lasts almost 24 hours. I do not recommend at all.
