I received this as a gift and was really excited about the purple eyeshadow. It comes out as super bright and because its pigmentation is great it comes out as it looks on the pallete. The blush is a great colour but its so bright I find myself dusting it off quite alot before application on my fair skin so as not to look like a clown. I find myself using the crease colour the most out of the entire pallete.

Today was the first time I tried out this palette, as usual, i was astounded by the palette color combinations - so eccentric. so I put the white e/s as the base, plum on the lid, and brown as the liner. The e/s trio looks okay on me, but not 'wow', you know. and I found the blush tooo deep red to come even close with the e/s colors, just an odd combination.

I love the tweed packaging and the cute flip clutch.

UPDATE: changed to 1 lippie since the colours are just not my cup of tea, very eccentric combinations just don't work with the deep red blush. I hope they worked, though. It's very hard to dislike anything Stila. so this one is up for swap straightaway!

I must be missing something here as the reviews here are glowing, but there's something not right about the colour combination of this palette.
Normally Stila absolutely nail the colours in their palettes, and because their shadows can be used wet or dry you can get a variety of different looks that all work perfectly. Unfortunately, there's not much that's perfect about this palette.
Firstly the eyeshadows. Usually with Stila the lightest shade can be used either as a highlighter or a lid wash, but because this is so white, it's only any good as a highlighter (and it's rather ineffectual at that). The middle shade, a pinkish plum is a little too strong for the lids (I feel a bit trannieish when I wear this) as it's very pigmented, and the smoky chocolate, which is probably the nicest of the three isn't pigmented enough to use as a liner, even used wet, so you need to use a separate liner.
The eye shadows are very cool (as in skin tones), but the blush is leaning towards the warmer shade of the spectrum and just doesn't work with the eye shadows (it's a plummy brick). If the blush was more of a pink this palette would work much better.
On the whole, the quality of the powders is good (although not up to the usual Stila standards), but as a palette they just don't work.
The packaging is a bit twee for my tastes.

Love this palette- looks wonderful on this CCC Neutral! Unusual combination of pearly white, reddish-purple, and silvery brown with a lovely rosy brown blush. Looks odd in the pan, but combines beautifully.Like a previous poster, these eyeshadows make my brown eyes velvety. Great Stila quality, as always.

Thunk. I cannot make this work (PPP w/yellow undertones). White, Bubblicious grape and rose? No taupe can pull this look together. I look like Barney Faye Baker. There is too much contrast - it might be okay for a stage or runway, but not everyday. And the reviewer below is right - the eye is cool and the cheek is warm. Not a coherent look. What the Hell is the 'color story' here? This has no theme, and I wouldn't even use these colors separately. Stark baking-soda white eyeshadow is never a good idea, as far as I'm concerned, unless it's on Siouxsie Sioux. I'm especially p.o.-ed because plum should pop my green eyes. But not like a grasshopper drowning in grape Kool-Aid.

Without the white, I could see the darker colors working better on darker-skinned ladies. If that's the case, then I'm glad Stila finally put something out that is not too light, shimmery and unpigmented to show up except on very light skin. From the other reviews, it looks like people are getting something out of this, so either it's another outbreak of Stila fever, or maybe it's just me. My yellow-y skin can make reddish colors look more fuchsia than they are. Still very disappointed, even though it was an eBay cheapie. The other "Perfectly" pallettes are all so lovely. I wouldn't even wear this to the mailbox.

EDIT: I just can't get over how appallingly hideous this is on me. It's astonishing.

such a nice palette. very nice versatile look. the plum color is very pretty and the blush is very nicely pigmented, takes a slight hand. Blush is shimmery, similar to the e/s in the palette. Creates a nice profound or laid down look. such a pretty color arrangement! definitely would buy again.

I bought two of the Perfectly Palettes last year - the gold and the plum. I liked the idea of having shadows and blushes together in one very compact package. The tweed is adorable, but it is difficult to hold the palettes open with one hand while using trying to use them! The plum is my favorite of the two - the white shade makes a great highlighter, the violet-plum is lovely, and the bronzy-plummy-brown makes a great crease color. However, the best part of this palette is the blush. It is gorgeous!! It is a warm rose shade with very subtle shimmer that is extremely flattering and great for fall. I wish stila would make the blush a permanent part of the line.

I got this pretty much dirt cheap off of ebay. I have very few Stila products, but decided to give this one a try. The colors are really pretty, but they look a little dull on. Maybe they're too soft? I have to really pack on the plum (which is a gorgeous shade BTW)to get any color payoff. The blush is really nice; it gives me a really nice rosy flush. I'm not a fan of the goofy tweed packaging, but it's OK. All in all, for the price I paid I'm happy, but I'm still not sold on Stila.

This is not my favorite Stila palette, but it's nice. It has shimmery white, plum with pink tones, and a slightly cool-toned taupe/bronze eyeshadows. The blush kinda throws me, because the blush looks really warm to me, while the eyeshadows are cool-toned. The texture of everything is great in this palette though, and the eyeshadows work well together. Again, not a favorite for me, with my warm-toned LLL skin, but the purple-plum color looks good on my hazel eyes. I like the cute tweed palette, too.

Yay - my package arrived! I took the plunge on this palette during a fit of late-night Ebaying (new and untested for $16, which is pretty darn low) and have to say that I'm completely thrilled with it. Without the reviews on MUA, I probably would've liked but skipped these colors thinking they'd be too bright for my warm, MMM Eurasian coloring. Wrong! The combo of bright plum and warm bronze eye shadow, the peachy/plum blush, and the ultra white shimmery highlight eye shadow is ultra pretty on! Note to self: it's OK to stray from neutrals! I like that the colors coordinate but aren't "matchy-matchy". Both cool and warm if that makes sense. They look fabulous together and I think they'd work well individually with many other shades. The packaging is tiny - smaller than I expected, really - but lovely and not too cutesy like some others from Stila. It's definitely going to be a handbag staple for me.

I bought this off ebay for $20 so it was a deal! I'm yellow toned nc30-35 and I didn't think I can pull off this palette. It has a white base e/s, a shimmery plum crease e/s, a bronzey-purple shimmer e/s and a rosey blush. All very pigmented. I can't believe how it brought my eyes out from under my eyeglasses and made me look polished perfection. I finish it off with mac hug me lippie or prr l/g and I look hot!

When I first saw the LE Perfectly Plum Fall 2005 palette I didn't like it. You have a white, plum and bronze e/s and a pinky peach blush. I purchased the other three Fall palettes first because I was sure that they would suit my NC30 complexion. I was browsing at the pro store when an MA applied the e/s colors on me. I was stunned how good it looked. I would usually never wear white pearly e/s and plum that always looks like someone punched me in the eye but it was gorgeous. I have to thank the MA because I would not have bought it myself. The blush is a little bit too light for me so I have to layer it.

I love this palette. I have brown hair and brown eyes and am NC30 and this palette looks amazing on. The blush looks dark, but it beautiful. The eyeshadows are really soft and looks great together. When I went on vacation, I took this palette and it worked for daytime and nighttime looks!

I ordered this online from Nordstoms thinking this was going to be a great color palette for my cool tone, med. complextion skin (brown hair, hazel eyes). When it arrived I freaked out b/c the colors were so dark, especially the blush. I did not even try it, I put it back in the box and made plans to head to the Stila counter as soon as I could. Once I was there, I told the MU I wanted the exchange one of the 2005 Fall palettes, and which one did she recommend. She immediatly said the plum is the most beautiful on everyone, and that the blush is especially gorgeous. I told her my concerns, so she asked me if she could apply the palette. Boy was I wrong. These colors are pigmented..yes, but sheer enough to wear everyday. The plum e/s is the prettiest plum e/s I have seen from any line. The blush is so flattering - although it looks dark mauve/brown in the pan, it comes out a natural looking rose. This will be a frequently used set in my MU collection.

OK, I'm not a huge tweed fan, but these palettes are actually kinda cute. Perfectly Plum comes in a charcoal tweed palette with metallic flecks through it. The palette closes like an envelope, with a magnetic closure, and when open includes a little mirror.

The Plum palette includes shadows in a pale pearly-white, a rich purpley-plum, and a warm plummy-brown. The pearly white shade is probably my least favourite of all the shades in the four palettes, but would be a nice highlighter for paler or more cool and pink-based lasses (I'm a FFF-MMM and neutral/warm toned). The purpley-plum shade is one of the most gorgeous, vibrant purples I have ever seen, and the brown complements it just beautifully. I actually would keep the palette for the purple shade alone - but luckily I like the brown and blush too The blush is a warm rose.

The quality of these shadows is amazing. They are soooo soft and smooth, but not powdery at all. And definately not as soft (and likely to shatter) as last years FF palettes! Mine all came from the US (to Australia) and none were even slightly affected.

These palettes are definately a great buy!

The new Stila palettes are fabulous quality. Released Fall 2005 and limited edition. Each comes packaged in a different color tweed like fabric. The Plum palette consists of a shimmery white, a medium shimmery violet plum and a darker shimmery taupey brown with purple undertones. I wear the white all over and to highlight, the violet in the crease and the darker brown in the outer v. Super pretty colors that work well together. All the colors are very pigmented, glide on smoothly, easy to blend and last all day. Truly top quality shadows. The blush is a pigmented rose shade. Very natural looking on my nc30 skin tone. But i love the shadows in this. Great quality product for $30!

I am surprised by the beauty of this palette. The Stila MA first tried the peach palette on me & immediately took it off because it looked off on me. Then we were debating between the Plum and Sage. The MA eventually picked the Plum palette to try out and it turned out so nicely that she ended up doing a whole makeover to complete my new look. The palette consists of a shimmery white, a medium plum, and a medium plummyish brown eyeshadows with a coral rosy slight shimmer blush. The MA applied the plum e/s on my lid with tapping motion in the shape of a triangle. I know its hard to imagine but basically tapping the eyeshadow allows more control in density to layer and the triangle shape opens up the eye with a doe eye effect (I learn something new everyday). Then the plum was applied to my lower lashline. She wet a smudger brush and applied the brown to my upper lashline and the outer corner of my lower lashline. Then using the dry end of the brush the plum was applied dry on top of the brown to soften and gives a slight smokey effect. The shimmery white is lightly dabbed on browbone arch. Mascara at the outer corners completes the soft doe eye look. The blush coordinates well but is very pigmented so a light handed is needed. My normally dark brown eyes looked chocolately in color and I love this look! The other Stila MAs and MAs from the neighboring counters came over and even commented on how well it all looked. I've strayed from Stila but now I remember why I love this brand :)
