This is way too perfumey and the smell lingers. It did seem to be moisturizing as I did not feel the need for conditioner, but did nothing for frizz.

I bought this product because it smelled like 1980's Flex. Not everyone likes the smell but I love it. It's a smell like Kiehl's Coriander, musky and a little herbal/floral. Typically I use Kerastase on my long blonde highlighted medium textured but very dense hair. The girls at Sephora were hyping the Ojon line. Many of the salesgirls said that they used it and it was the best line they had ever used. When I first applied it I noticed how nothing about the shampoo felt particularly hydrating much less ultra hydrating. After applying the matching conditioner and towel drying my hair was a tangled mess. It took a long time to get a comb through it and my hair is not even curly. The 1980's Flex was better than this product. After drying my hair I noticed that it felt greasy but dry and brittle at the same time. Even my coworkers commented that I "needed a haircut". I am usually open with new products, like that I give them a fair shot. I used about half the bottle of the products. After a friend said my hair looked dirty and it was on a day I washed it I threw the products in the trash. I could not believe this was not a drugstore product and wondered if the girls at Sephora were lying or if they just had very different hair then me or hadn't tried anything good before. Then I thought of Bare Essentials Mineral foundation which they also hype even though I know it sucks but it's mass marketed so a lot of people buy it. This is the worst hair product I have ever used in my entire life!!! Even 99 cent Prell has some redeeming qualities (clarifier, color stripper). I would never repurchase and Im thinking about using the rest of my bottle as a household cleaner as I do like the smell.

This shampoo was fine, it didn't dry my hair too much like most shampoos. Not impress though. I'm still looking for a less drying shampoo for my curly hair.

I use this right along with my OJON restorative treatment (and sometimes with out) and it has made a world of difference. It's expensive ($18) but it's an 8.44oz bottle of shampoo and lathers up WAY more than most shampoos out there so it will last you longer in the end. I think it's a fantastic buy considerting what it does for my hair and how long it lasts.
The smell is great in my opinion (very different from the infamous smell of the ojon treatment oil). And it really reduces the frizz. This product combined with the Ojon restorative has completely transformed my hair. This is a HG shampoo for me.

This shampoo smells better than the treatment, but isn't moisturizing and leaves my hair flat and weighed down. Get Biolage Hydrating shampoo for a fraction of the price and much better performance.

I've been using the shampoo and conditioner together and for the fortune that I spent, I am not pleased. The shampoo has all the harsh sulfates to dry out my hair and the conditioner performs no miracles. This shampoo doesn't smell as bad as the rest of the products, but the parfum is high up on the list on all of them and I don't know what Ojon was thinking?!!
I'll stick with my FF Protein RX shampoo anyday.

I absolutely cannot get over the utter stink of this product. I am a total hair product junkie (some folks are into make-up, some are into skin, some are into bath... at MUA, I'm into hair) and I couldn't even get past the 'old lady perfume' scent of the shampoo & conditioner to properly judge the peformance of this stuff! On one hand it smells like 'old lady perfume' and on the other hand it smells like the old 'Jeri Curl' sprays. I just don't know what Ojon was thinking with this fragrance. I can't even recommend that anyone try the S&C out b/c I wouldn't want anyone's hair to smell like this. Just awful! :o(

I love the Ojon line of hair products. I do not usually shell out the big bucks for shampoo, but I really like this one. First of all, I love the smell, like of nutty, and when you use the shampoo, conditioner and a Ojon product, the smell lasts forever. Number two, the shamppo/conditioner combo, leaves my fine, frizzy hair, very smooth and thick looking. It is also very silky to the touch. It is very thick out of the bottle, but very little is needed to work up a lather. I also only was my hair every other day, or every 3rd day, so my bottles are going on 3 - 4 months so far.

I rarely feel so enthusiastic about a shampoo but everytime I use this I just feel better. It smells intoxicating...sweet, spicy, and warm and I like how the scent lingers afterwards (probably helps that I use the conditioner too!). My hair is so long, color-treated, and tangly but this makes a big difference. My hair is softer, more relaxed, and breaks less when I comb it. It even appears shinier than it ever has, even with my favorite Lush products. A quarter sized amount creates a ton of lather, and cleans my hair gently. This is expensive but it's not even a consideration for me like it normally would be. I don't mind spending extra money on a top quality product, especially when they don't test on animals, and are part of Fair Trade. I wish more beauty companies would adopt these policies! I actually use the whole line now...Restorative treatment, shampoo, conditioner, hydrating mist, and shine serum. Highly recommend!!

I had to try this after I tried the conditioner, which smelled amazing (vanilla-y spicy), and was very pleased that I did. The shampoo is nice and think, but does lather up well and rinses nicely. The smell is just as nice as the conditioner, though more floral I think, but still nice. One thing about Ojon products is that the scents are really strong, but good, so keep that in mind if you do not like really strong scents in your shampoos/conditioners (I do, and your hair smells like this even the next day, yum!). This shampoo is not over-drying and works great on my double-processed blonde hair. I always use it with the conditioner, and the results are always good, shiny, yummy smelling hair that is conditioned, but not greasy - perfect! Seriously, I keep smelling my hair after I use this, with the husband looking at me like I'm a lunatic, but it really does smell that good to me. Like the conditioner, the price is online with Fekkai or pureology products, so it's not cheap, but a little does go a long way. I'm so impressed that I'm trying the shine serum and conditioning treatment next.

I LOVE this shampoo. It's probably one of the best on the market. I felt that the 8 oz. bottle lasted me a lot longer than I thought it would. A little bit goes a LONG way. Both my son and I use it and the one bottle lasted us about 2 months. I love what it does for my hair. I have thin, overprocessed hair it made it so strong, smooth, shiny and thick. My son has very curly hair and it made his curls look very healthy and moisturized.

I love this shampoo!! It has really great ingredients. It is sooo concentrated. I can't get over the thick bubbles, yet it rinses out so easily. Also, no worries about build up, and it's great for color treated hair!! Definitely a staple=)

Well, this is really expensive. I hate that it doesn't lather as well as, say, Pureology. It smells okay, though. It didn't leave an overdried feeling on my hair when I rinsed, and it rinsed out wonderfully. I really like it, but seriously, I've seen a lot of bad reviews about Ojon. You should really try a sample for yourself before taking anyone's word for it, because remember, no shampoo is really for EVERYONE.

This shampoo is way too overpriced for my pocketbook! I saw a special on QVC, and I got the Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo & Ojon Ultra Hydrating Conditioner. I was hoping it would be all they said it would, but this is just pure hype. Not worth the $$, believe me! My hair looks and feels no better after I use this, then when I use a much cheaper shampoo, such as L'Oreal Color Vive. Also, the Ojon shampoo is so thick, (think: phlegm, I'm not kidding!) even my husband remarked that he didn't really like the shampoo, because it is too thick and a little difficult to lather. The smell is just "ok," nothing to write home about. The fragrance in the conditioner is definitely much better.
I regret purchasing this product, but I won't make that mistake again. What I fell for was their intriguing claims about, "Ojon- a true story... From the remote tropical rainforests of Central America, an ancient native secret to naturally beautiful hair has been discovered. 100% pure Ojon palm nut oil found deep within the tropical rainforest. Since well before recorded history, the Miskito Indians, also known as Tawira or "the people of beautiful hair" have extracted a rich palm nut oil from the tropical Ojon tree to make a remarkably nourishing hair conditioner and shine enhancer."
Unfortunately, this is all hype! This "palm nut oil" is no better than shea butter, jojoba oil, etc., or any other emollient used in conditioners and/or shampoos! If these Indians have beautiful hair, it must be all in the genes! It has little-if not nothing- to do with the nut oils in their shampoos!Bottom line: Save your money! You can get 10 bottles of L'Oreal Vive at Walmart for the price of one bottle of Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo- and I promise you... your hair will look just as terrific (if not better)!
