Horror of horrors, is what this serum is. I decided for a change to give a drugstore product a trial run hoping I'd fall in love and save $$$ while I'm at it, but noooooooo.
So I applied it at night, and was immediately put off by that whiff of atchaar (a spicy relish in my country). I brushed that off, and caught my shut eye.
Following day all was fine as I went over my morning skin care routine, and I made sure to put on sunblock with SPF50. The day progressed as usual, and in the evening I noticed a relentless burning itch inside my skin. I scratched nonstop but it didnt make a difference. I then checked the mirror and woah scary sight. The lower half of my face was covered in peeling skin that stood upright.The itch inside my skin persisted right through the night, even after a thorough cleanse. My face also got swollen. The following coupla days as the skin peeled, it revealed smooth but darker skin patches. These took 7 weeks of patient treatments until my skin was restored. Never again.

I thought I'd give this a try based on some other consumer reviews. I have what is known as Mediterranean (sp?) skin so even at 57 my skin is pretty smooth. I've been using this for about a week now and like it. I apply only at night, and then apply Origins High Potency Night-A Mins moisture cream. That combo seems to work fine. I've not experienced any of the splotchiness or flakiness that other reviewers have.
Now if only I could find a product that really got rid of the bags under my eyes (other than a surgeon's knife)......

I've been using this product once to twice a day for the past two months with no improvement of my wrinkles. I have light laugh lines and the start of forehead wrinkles; there wasn't much to improve on to begin with. Thought this would stop aging in it's tracks, but I think they've only gotten worse.

Another miss here for me. Too greasy for my skin. Didn't feel like it absorbed. I went back to Olay.

I am 25 and have been using this product for about 6 months now. The first couple weeks it would sting during application and made my face feel dry. I definitely used a good moisturizer over the top of this serum. It takes a couple weeks to get accustomed to this product if you have never used a retinol product. For me the results were almost instantaneous... after a few days, my skin got smoother and "tighter." I have sensitive skin and break out easily, but this stuff did not make me break out at all. In fact it seemed to help clear my skin up. Also, I have noticed that if I do get a pimple, it heals quickly and the scar goes away much faster now. This serum helped to even out my skin tone and make my skin look & feel so soft. I don't have wrinkles yet so I can't tell you whether this serum would work on wrinkles... but I will keep using it! (oh, and I have also used the RoC version which is also good... they are about the same price for the same amount, the only difference to me was the smell... but I like both smells...)

I'm on my fourth bottle now and love everything about it. A convenient pump bottle that actually closes when you turn the top--so no dry gummy stuff the next time you use it. Leaves the skin lovely and soft, even if you don't use a moisturizer with it. I even like the smell--a little choclatey, mmm. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a larger bottle.

This is my first venture into the world of retinol products and I am very happy. I have been using the serum for the last three weeks with good results, better than I expected actually. I use the serum in combination with my favorite Kiehl's moisturizer before I go to sleep. I have not have an sort of allergic reaction and have definitely noticed that my forehead lines are disappearing. My overall skin texture seems to be better too, although not dewey (yet). This product does smell like maple syrup but that goes away quickly. Will keep on using.

I am 41 years old and do not have much of a problem with wrinkles, but I tan a lot and this moisturizer seems to work perfect for me for day use. I just let it soak in good then use powder. Works great for me.

Oh, I could cry! This product was my HG serum for over a year - I loved it. It really made a difference in helping to minimize the fine lines beginning to appear on my forehead and gave me clear, dewey skin. Now, all of a sudden, whenever I use it, I have the same reaction that some other raters have mentioned - huge, blotchy, irritated dry patches that become itchy and flaky. ALL OVER my face!! Cheeks, temples, one patch on the bridge of my nose and unusual dryness on my forehead. I don't know what happened, but I'm very sad that I can no longer use my favorite serum!! Now I have to wait for this to go away.......:(

I am still young, so I don't have wrinkles except for one on my forehead. I know one wrinkle isn't much, but still, it drives me crazy!! I have been using this product regularly for 4+ months, and I haven't noticed a difference AT ALL. It does't make it look worse, but it has done absolutely nothing to diminish the appearance of the wrinkle. I won't be purchasing it again.

I'm sad to hear that this didn't work for many people with sensitive skin or acne. It worked beautifully for me. I have normal to dry skin with some discoloration from sun damage. Honestly, after using this for the last two weeks, my skin has dramatically improved. The surface is smoother and more even. Spots are beginning to fade with not breakouts whatsoever. I swear by this and plan to keep on using it as long as it works! The Healthy Skin Intensive Night Lotion is also brilliant.

I think of this as a "starter" anti-wrinkle treatment. I began using it after using Glytone gel wash for about two years. My cheeks were a bit dry for a few days, but then my skin seemed to adjust to it and I no longer had to use a moisturizer afterward. That rapid adjustment to the retinol in this serum might not have been possible without the long exposure to the glycolic acid in Glytone. I used this for several months and then "moved up" to a treatment with a high glycolic acid content. Thus this product fulfilled its purpose for me, and I would definately buy it again.

made my face break out in a rash of huge, itchy, dry, red patches after about 3 nights of usage. it's been weeks now and the dry patches are STILL there and i can NOT get them to go away no matter how much hardcore moisturizer i apply to them. if you're going to try this product, DO A PATCH TEST FIRST. don't end up looking like a leper like me!

I use the serum at night along with their eye serum, and healthy skin anti wrinkle blemish cream. I'm very impressed with the results. I don't have any wrinkles...just fine lines in the eye area. This skin care line has really improved the appearance of my skin. My pores are smaller, any fine lines have been greatly reduced or vanished.

I have tried other products for my night time treatments but Healthy Skin produces the best results for me. Love the price too.

I loved this for the first few days. I thought my wrinkles didn't show up as much and the finer ones were smoothing out.

Then my chin broke out in zits and a rash.

Then the side of my face broke out.

Today I'm peeling all over the place!

I could live with the peeling if I weren't getting deep underground zits at the same time! I'm disappointed. Had hoped maybe THIS product was the wrinkle holy grail!

Wow, I am impressed. I apply self-tanner every morning, have a nice glow throught the day, apply this at night and am once again pale white and smooth by morning. You probably have to be in your 40's to appreciate this kind of exfoliation!! I follow this with Avon's Clearly C at night. My skin is bright, clear, radiant. Love.....

I was referred to this product by my dermatologist. I have had moderate but persistent acne for nearly 10 years, and, long story short, could no longer afford to go to the derm or to pay for prescription creams. She advised me to replace my Retin-A micro with this product, and also said that it may not work as well since it is a non-prescription concentration. Off to CVS I trekked.

I am twenty, and I have no wrinkles, so I felt like an idiot picking up a 20$ product that had 'deep wrinkle removal' blazed across the front. I added it to my current facial routine, after washing with Cetaphil and applying tea tree oil to my face, but before applying lotion. I use it twice a day, in the mornings and the evenings, since I have already developed a tolerance to retinols.

It is wonderful. Not nearly as irritating as Retin-A can be, but my skin has continued to respond positively. I have been using this product for 10 days, and I usually wait at least 30 days to pass judgement, but this stuff is amazing.

I have what old women like to call an 'English Rose' complexion, extremely pale with pink undertones, sensitive, and prone to breakouts. For the first time since I was probably 9 or 10 years old, my complexion is flawless. Pores minimized, acne marks fading, no new spots, no flaking, even when I don't use additional moisturizer. God, as much as I hate the word, I am glowing.

The one downside, as far as I can tell, is the weird, sugary smell of the product. It reeks. It does fade, but it takes its own sweet time to do so. If you are very sensitive to smell (I am not) I wouldn't recommend this.

I have no idea how this product works on wrinkles, but let me tell you as far as an anti-acne or acne scar fading product, it is excellent. I will repurchase.

Disappointed! Let me begin by saying, er, writing, that I have very tolerant skin. I do not break out. I don't get hives, and my eyes rarely sting from perfumes, retinol or additives. From this product all problems occurred. I have no idea what it was that did it, but what a gigantic waste of money!
