The gold in this is quite flat and looks quite chalky on while the brown isn't really pigmented enough to use as a liner colour and when used in the crease over the gold, the gold changes it to a coppery brown (i.e. orange). Starlight, Lame and Espresso are a much better combination to get the kind of look that you would expect from the name and looking at the shadows in the pan. The blush is nice enough, but only really works on me during the winter when I'm really pale, otherwise it barely shows on my fair skin. Overall, this one falls well short of perfect for me.

I thought this product would be slightly larger, but the standard of quality makes this a beautiful palette. There are all the colors you need for staples, and the blush is gorgeous. Well priced and pigmented. But I am slightly scared of accidentally putting the thing upside down, only to realize they have cracked out. Probably just me being OC. If and when i run out i will be ordering a new one asap.
Update: The colours turned out a bit off, the gold is really yellow and the blush turns my face orange, decided i wouldnt buy again

Good combo of staple neutrals. White-gold, true gold, and taupish-plum eyeshadows, plus a nude blush. All highly pigmented and blendable. Great for everyday use, but Stila comes out with palettes like this at least twice a year, so I won't be repurchasing.

This is a low-seller on eBay, maybe because it looks mustard gold and cocoa in the pan. It comes out a beautiful warm copper and rose-gold on me. (I have reddish-purple toned lids, PPP w/ yellow undertones, green-grey eyes. Yes, I clash with myself; hence the makeup). It's kind of a shimmery "Harvest Moon" glow. The light baby pink blush anchors the look so it looks more like "natural fireside glow" and less like "bronzer ghost" on pale skin.

I have resisted Stila's shimmery, translucent shadows. Some of their palette color combinations look really drab and boring in the pan. But blended on the face, they give a distinctive and pretty look. The skin tone showing through underneath makes it even more natural. The packaging is adorable; the quality is great; the color coordination is forward-thinking, but consistently understated "Stila Girl" stylish. I'm a convert. Just lovely. This is one of those looks that you want to buy a new outfit to go with. Something coppery, peachy and warm taupe-y, with muted gold sandals or ballet flats. Or something forest or jade green. Not really a sweater-weather look for me, like I said. But good for this time of year, Indian Summer.

an awesome palette - with very wearable colours. i wont really start describing since everyone else has already done that - but i thought this picture might be a bit helpful since the colours (eyeshadows) in this palette are somewhat similar to the gold glow trio from summer 2006. although i think the shades in this palette are abit less shimmery.

if you like golds - the gold in this palette is worth buying the whole palette for as its one of the few true golds i've ever seen.

this palette is very pretty..it has a highlighter all over base type color (ivory shade).. a crease color (golden shade) and a eyeliner color (brown shade). of course you can mix it up a bit. The blush is a neutral flushing pink shade. There is also a decent size mirror. I think the set it is great and adorable. Colors blend beautifully and you can use this for every day or play it up for night.
I bought this at the cco. I dont think i would of bought it at regular price.
*update* i decided I would give this to a friend , and she loves it. It just wasn't the best one of these palettes for me.*
+took one lippie off cuz the blush is kinda small..and too close to the dark e/s

I bought two of the Perfectly Palettes last year - the gold and the plum. I liked the idea of having shadows and blushes together in one very compact package. The tweed is adorable, but it is difficult to hold the palettes open with one hand while using trying to use them! The gold palette contains three shadows (a light champagne, a rich gold, and a muted brown) and a nice peach blush. The shadows are very nice and the gold is very wearable and pretty! My favorite shade is the brown though - it makes a great crease color. I also really like the blush. It was my first peach blush, and it is really very subtle and flattering.

I am in luuuurve with this palette! I bought it specifically cause i love Gold E/S and stila dont appear to have one on their normal rotation - i didnt expect to fall for the whole thing! The tweed casing is just so cute and stylish and the other 2 shadows are lovely too.
I thought the blush would be to light but its actually perfect for a rosey cheek.

Am VERY happy that i got this on ebay so late in the piece and have just purchased the sage palette in anticipation!

Oh how i wanted to love this. I know late review so it doesnt really matter, but need to vent. I was pleased with this palette and didnt really realize it until today that this makes my eyes look red. I dont know if its because my eyes are sensitive to the shadow or its my allergies. But everytime i wear this my husband always asks me if i'm tired or feeling sick. I guess cause my eyes look so.. red and irritated. Well, the other colors are pretty.. its just the gold in this that doesnt work for me. In the trash it goes or up for swap. :(

This is my favorite Fall 2005 palette. Especially the gold e/s is beautiful. Since I could not get a hold of the Bohemian Bronze trio, I am happy with this palette. The colors suit NC30, MMM complexions very well. The blush is my least favorite item. It is unfortunately too light for my skintone but I layered it. It's a keeper and worth $30.

I love this palette. Really. I am a stila b/c or mac nc25 w/ reddish hair and blue eyes. I always get compliments when I wear this palette. It looks really natural and glowy on. Seriously, when I am dead on a Friday morning this makes me look perky and awake. I think others have described the colors well, but I think the best thing in this palette is the gold shadow. It really brightens up the eye.
Get this before they sell out!

I received this as a birthday gift from my sister a few days ago, and I have not put it down since. I find myself playing with it, and looking at it a lot-the packaging is too cute! The colors are great for me-I'm a warm LLL. I especially love the true gold shade, and I hope to find a good replacement when I am through with this. The other two shadows aren't too unique, but compliment each other well. The blush is nice, too. A warm peachy-pink. It goes nicely with the shadows, but I almost always use bronzer instead of blush. For $30.00, I think it is a great value.

OK, I'm not a huge tweed fan, but these palettes are actually kinda cute. Perfectly Gold comes in a brown tweed palette with metallic flecks through it. The palette closes like an envelope, with a magnetic closure, and when open includes a little mirror.

The Gold palette includes shadows in a pale gold, a rich gold with a touch of copper, and a warm taupey-brown, that almost has a touch of plum. The pale gold shade is lovely as a wash. I wouldn't have thought the taupey shade would work with gold, but it really does - I'm impressed. The two gold shades also work beautifully with greens, peaches, coppers and other browns. The blush is a pretty peachy pink, a bit darker and peachier than Tutu.

The quality of these shadows is amazing. They are soooo soft and smooth, but not powdery at all. And definately not as soft (and likely to shatter) as last years FF palettes! Mine all came from the US to Australia and none were even slightly affected.

This is my least favorite palette of the Fall 2005 collection. All the compacts come packaged in a different color tweed like fabric with 3 shadows and blush. The quality of all is superb. Richly pigmented, glide on effortlessly, easy to blend and last nicely with my UD primer. The gold is a little orangey for my light olive NC30 complexion. One shade is a shimmery off white, then you have a true shimmery midtoned gold, and finally a warm brown with warm/taupey undertones. For some reason when i put the colors on together, they get an orange hint to them which isnt overly flattering on my skin. I dont know if its the gold or the brown. I have worn this with the lightest shade all over the lid and to highlight, the brown in the crease and outer v and the gold on the lid. I love the peachy blush, its pretty richly pigmented peach which i love. Retails for $30.

This was introduced as part of Stila’s Fall 2005 limited edition series. It contains a light peachy that gives a beautiful, slight flush with an ever so slight glow due to the low shimmer content. The eyeshadows are all shimmery and comprise of a light beige (similar to MAC’s Nylon, but peachier), a gold (similar to MAC’s Goldmine, but more orange), and maroon-tinted brown. These colors compliment each other stupendously! I use the gold as a base, the brown on the outer corners and then the light beige highlight. It’s a perfect everyday fresh summer look. The eyeshadows are fairly pigmented, very soft (if not too much) and blendable as expected of Stila. The only downside is the staying power is a little short of what I’m used to. This is all housed in an adorable sparkly tan fabric clutch with a convenient mirror. A nice touch is the plastic covering over the eyeshadows and blush with an inspiration saying. This prevents the product from flaking out all over the interior of the clutch, which I certainly appreciate! Now these colors aren’t anything inventive or extraordinary, but well worth the $30 for the packaging and convenience alone. I do not regret springing for this in the least.
EDIT: I swapped this away once I realized the staying power of these eyeshadows really wasn't all that. They glided on very pigmented, but faded very quickly throughout the day. Oh well, it was worth a try!

I really love the packaging of Stila's palette this fall, it's very chic & cute!! But the colors are a bit hit/miss for me.

This palette comes w/ 3 e/s and 1 blush. The quality of the e/s is silky soft beyond believe, but not as crumbly as last year's palette. It is also very pigmented too, you can easily apply it sheer/build up color as you wish, so kudos to Stila for bringing such a great texture!

Now to the colors: the lightest e/s is white-beige in tone, middle tone is rich yellow golden shimmer with darkest liner as taupish/plumish brown, contrasting the yellow. The color combination is ingenious, I would have never pair the plumish brown with a golden yellow. Nevertheless, the result on my skin tone (I'm Stila B/C, yellow tone) is disastrous!! The yellow from the golden e/s clashes with my yellowish skin tone and does nothing to my dark brown eyes. The blush is a very nice soft peachy-dusty pink type, which is o.k. and would compliment the look.

I have to give this a 3 lippie since the color really is not that versatile. Perhaps this will look fabulous on someone w/ green eyes, but not on me. I shall move on to the next palette.

Bohemian Bronze Trio is my HG of eyeshadow looks, the gold shadow in the crease always makes my eyes pop. Naturally, I had to have this Perfectly Gold palette. As the previous reviewer pointed out, this collection appears to be more shimmery and less frosty than the boho trio. I would also add that the cream and gold shadows are lovely but maybe not as dense. Actually, this is nice since it gives a more natural, pretty look. The cream and brown are almost dead on Boho bronze, the gold has a little more orange to it (in a Mac Amber Lights kind of way). The addition of a neutral peach blush is great so you can grab this little puppy to travel with. So far, I'm very pleased. FFF/Neutral/Blue eyes/highlighted lt. brown hair.
