Before I write my review, I have one question.
Is the lip conditioner swivel stick being discontinued?? I have been trying to buy it online for about 4 months and it is always out of stock. I went to several MAC counters in London and they were sold out, I found a MAC store in Brighton and they only had 4 left. I really think that this is being discontinued and I will be gutted. I love this formula but I hate the idea of sticking my finger in a pot or using the gooey squeezy tube version :(

Anyway, I think this lip conditioner is great. It hasn't completely solved all my lip woes but I'm starting to think that I just will never have non-chapped lips. I have used every brand going from cheap to pricey and nothing has really worked.
But, MAC Lip Conditioner has worked the most. I can wear a lot more lipsticks than I used to be able to and my lips are nowhere near as chapped and dry as they used to be.
The smell is a little overpowering but I do like that all MAC lipsticks have that vanilla oil smell. The packaging is chunky and unique, I don't think it will break in my bag or that the conditioner will melt in hot weather.

£11 is pricey for a lip balm but considering it's the only lip product I've used that has actually changed my lips for the better, I'd happily pay that price if I could actually find it anywhere!

The white balm doesn't leave a ghostly sheen on my lips, even when I apply it thickly at night. It also doesn't feel sticky or clogging.
I don't know if I'm the only one that has this problem but if I apply a balm before my lipstick, sometimes the pigment of the lipstick doesn't show up very well? It's like the balm is too thick to allow the lipstick colour to stick? The MAC lip conditioner doesn't give me that problem.
My lips feel smooth, the chapping has healed quite well and my lipsticks are wearing better. I'd definitely buy again or recommend!

Of all the lip conditioners I've ever tried, this is by far my favourite. My tend to have dry lips, but this really helps to moisturize and treat it. I love the fact that they have it in a transparent colour too - I use it on my lips first before I add on any lip colour. It's definitely very pricey, but because I find it moisturizes so well I'll like to purchase it again. The price makes me think twice, but I'll probably purchase it again in the futuure

I love this product. The smell is amazing, it glides on smoothly and feels soft. I wear it by itself or layer lip gloss on top. I had a terrible experience with a SPF lip balm before (not from MAC) and was a little worried that this product would be the same way, but I don't get any flaking or weird color. The price is a little high though. The packaging is higher quality than your average lip balm, it looks sleek and is easy to use. I think this is a great balm and will continue to repurchase.

I have very dry chapped lips and this helps a lot, however it smells and tastes horrible, and leaves a white film, so i use it only in my house and alone, i was really dissapointed with this as i love the pot one

I bought this today because I thought it would taste and smell like the pot lip conditioner. I was wrong the pot lip conditioner tastes yummy and smells good. The stick tasted really bad. Like plastic and chemicals. I returned it immediately for the pot.The taste was horrid. I don't know if this came in a bad batch but something was way off.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews as I really like this conditioner stick (I purchase transparent/clear) and have incorporated it into my daily routine. I always apply this after I moisturize my face to prep my lips for lipstick/gloss and on days when I don't want to wear anything on my lips I always reach for this. I find it provides enough moisture, has SPF, conditions my lips, and doesn't feel waxy or gritty. I have been buying this balm for quite some time and will continue to repurchase. Plus the empty container can be used as an item for the Back 2 MAC recycling program.

Mine is clear, and I like it! Works good as a primer for those drying MAC lippies like their satin or matte lippies. Slightly whiten the lips - that's OK for me, 'cause mine are too red. The smell is kinda powdery and old-fashioned, it's not just vanilla like all other MAC lip products. Has a good SPF in it... I can compare this to Bobbi Brown's balm - had to reapply BB's every 2 hours and MAC stays on twice longer. I think I'll repurchase.

I hate this product and hate that I payed this much for a chapstik !!!! I don't know if I can even call it that !!!!! I don't really wear lipsticks cause I wear allot of eyeshadow makeup and usually go for neutral lips , this goes on smooth doesn't feel sticky but as it wears off it leaves a white risdue on ur lips and settles on every like in ur lips , gonna take this back ! I bought the one in the pot but hate having to dip my finger into it but that one does makes my lips feel smoother and they stay soft all the time ;)

I'm really disappointed in this product, and miffed that I spent as much on it as I would a lipstick.

First of all, it doesn't moisturize my lips at all. It leaves a filmy, white residue after if fades. When its applied, it's kind of milky looking. The scent is much stronger than the scent found in the MAC lipsticks, and it leaves a bad aftertaste.

I'm not repurchasing, not ever. This was a waste.

This product is absolutely awful. And this is coming from a usual MAC Freak.

Its disappointing because I love the natural, non sticky glossy look my lips get... but there ends the benefits...

It tastes awful- I found it reminiscent of pencil lead. Not only that, but this stuff dried my lips out something terrible... I was itching to reach for more lip balm minutes after applying and after a few days I noticed my lips were chapped as though they'd never seen balm.

A real pity this didn't work as I loved the lip conditioner in the pot, just didn't like the idea of dipping my finger in all the time to apply. However, thats a small price to pay- the pot version is moisturising and smells faintly of vanilla. Delicious.

Avoid the stick like the plague.

Shame on you MAC.

I like that this product has SPF 15. However, it is neither conditioning nor moisturizing. It also has an unpleasant smell and taste. And the packaging is poor quality - pieces of the top chipped off, just from being in my make-up bag.

When I first bought this, I thought it was okay. No big wow factor in terms of moisturizing or scent for me. Then after a while of using it, this product started burning my lips! I thought it I was imagining things, so I stopped using this lip conditioner for a while. I started using it again after my lip healed, but the burning in my lips reappeared!

Oh well, it's all for the best I guess. I've recently started using this Burt's Bees chap stick, which is a fraction of the price and also has a "burning" sensation to it- the kind where you feel it's being effective, and not like this mac one where it's out to burn your lips off.

The lid of the container broke off in multiple places, so now it looks absolutely ridiculous as well!

SUCKS! SUCKS! SUCKS!!
I can't get over how much this product sucks. I first bought the one in the container which I absolutely loved, but hated sticking my finger in it and found it a hassle to use a brush. So I thought I would try the stick version for convenience. It cost the same price but so much less product. I regret buying this so much! It tastes like lipstick (which i hate), doesn't have the signature vanilla scent, and its NOT moisturizing. I have to apply a thick, thick layer of this stuff and it still doesn't even moisturize my lips. My lips are always cracking because of winter, but don't expect this "lip conditioner" to help.

Overall, expensive, tastes and smells like lipstick, and doesn't moisturize AT ALL! Buy the original in the container, its so much better and is a better value.

I have this in the clear version (untinted). As a lip balm, I don't like this, but for **sun protection** for the lips, it is great! I swipe this on before exercising outdoors and it keeps my lips hydrated and protected from UV rays. It is kind of heavy and isn't exactly clear (it has a bit of a white tinge to it), but it does the job I want it to do and isn't too expensive, one stick lasts a long time. Will repurchase.

This is a waste of money. I purchased this because my lips became really dry when I moved to a dry, hot climate - & it was making my lipsticks look like crap. I got this in clear and was very dissapointed. This treatment is very light and may be best used as a primer (though it doesn't make lipstick stay any longer - just makes them feel a bit smoother and more even during application), but definately NOT as a treatment. In fact, after using it for 3 days, my lips cracked on the sides. I'd much rather purchase chap-stick w/SPF for the day, and use vaseline at night. Rediculously overpriced.
As far as packaging goes, I was afraid to put this in my purse for fear that it would melt in the heat.
I will never purchase this again - not even the tinted kind - I've got neutrogena for that.

This smells ok but once put on it starts tasting very nasty. I will stick to Nivea's a Kiss of Moisture for the fraction of the price better results and NO nasty taste! Im giving it 2 lippies only because it moisturizes decently, but not well enough for me to repurchase
Disappointed at Mac with this product

Surprised with the low ratings. This is a great conditioner for lips. I read that if you put this on before applying lipglass, your lips won't feel sticky. It totally works!! Awesomeness :) Yeah, the packaging isn't as nice as some MAC stuff, but I don't mind, so long as it makes my lipglasses apply smoother, last longer, and look more pretty.
