Some general notes:
- Very definite rose scent (can be a plus or a minus depending on your sensitivity/proclivity to the perfume)
- Colors lashes a very inky black. Highly pigmented.
- Formula is goopy and has a tendency to clump (must be the "volumizing" aspect of the mascara)
- Brush is a narrow (~ .25" or .5 cm) spiral shape and it's quite long (~ 1.25" or 3 cm). So lots of lash coverage because it gets every single little lash.
I've tried using this on my upper lashes, but the goopy formula kept clumping my lashes together--not separating and defining them.
BUT, I've found great success in using this as a lower-lash mascara. It really beefs up my fine, tiny lashes and makes them nearly Twiggy-tastic. I suggest that you use this with a light hand though, because it's very easy to go overboard with application and create spidery lashes.
This mascara rates a solid 4; it's better than average, but it's not superb.

Bought a sample of this mascara which is a tiny version of the original one. Love the tiny wand as it could reach every corner of my eyelashes, coupled with its signature rose scent and is able to hold my curls. However, I feel that it's just an average mascara that gives me a natural eyelashes look. The volume that it provides is too little for my liking. The reason that I would buy it again is that it is cheap- SG 8 dollars for a mini bottle which could last me for 4 mths and beyond and it is a good average mascara for your casual makeup.

Although its a nice mascara, but i find it dries up quite fast. Nice packaging and all, but i would rather try other mascara from other brands. Not that its not good, its just that i like to experience with different brands.

This is a pretty good mascara, although it does cause my lashes to wilt a little (although not as much as other macaras). Although it's not waterproof (which is good, since it's easily removable), it doesn't smudge or flake. Surprisingly, this is the same price in the US as in Canada ($19). The rose scent sticks around for a while, but disappears after about 10 minutes. Volumizing is not bad, but not as much as I would like. A good mascara while I'm searching for my HG!

This mascara gives volume, lenght, and curl at the same time! this is cool, but not too drama as what i expected from what i read here.. It will give a dramatical result when you use this with super long lash mascara, combine those 2 together and they'll give you cute dolly lashes :)
It's kinda flaking on me tho, i don't know if i got a bad product, because the long lash one didn't.
Great packaging, nice rose scent (not for sensitive eyes :p)

I've tried Anna Sui's (regular) Long Lash mascara before and I liked it, although it didn't volumize worth a darn. It did lengthen like crazy, so I thought maybe Super Volume Up would be a good compromise. And it is! Like her Long Lash (so many with this name, it gets kinda confuzzing! LOL!) it wears very well, too.
Here are the specs: Black, curvy, plastic packaging with what's supposed to be a rose on top of the cap. I imagine to match what's "supposed" to be the rose scent. ;) The brush is easy to work with, yet hard to explain; kind of a stiff, unexciting cross between a pinetree and a teddy bear brush, reminiscent of Avon's mascara brush styles. It's far more exciting at doing the job than looking at it, I must say. Kinda like something else I can think of! ROFLMAO!! ;)
Okay, back to the ranch. LOL! The Volume formula itself is on the dry side, but it's not clumpy. It lengthens well, volumizes nicely and defines prettily. Lasts well without smearing, smudging, sagging, or flaking, even on the hottest of summer days. I said I would buy it again, but I'm not really sure if I would, when I'm still in lash love with other comparable mascaras. While this one is very, very good, I think I've found just a little bit better. ;)
