Although the scent is pleasant, I find the texture too runny. I'm used to body butters or lotions that are much thicker than Jaqua's. For the price, I expected a better product.

Banana spice cake is a warm, cinnamony smell that is great to use on those chilly fall and winter evenings. This lotion does a great job of moisturizing my dry winter skin, and smells great on my skin, as well as in the tube. (unlike some other Jaqua lotions I've tried). The only downfall to this lotion is that it does kind of burn my legs sometimes if I apply it right after shaving (due to the spices, I'm guessing).

I really love this scent. It smells pretty close to banana bread with a bit of spice. Yes, the spice note is definitely there but I didn't find the overall scent too spicy and I'm pretty sensitive to spicy scents. I didn't find it to be too red-hot cinnamony. It just sort of lurks in the background. And the "banana cake" part of it is very true, to my nose anyway. It doesnt smell like gross fake banana candy which I've found a lot of banana scents tend to smell like. I agree with a reviewer below, love the scent but don't really care for the lotion formula. It is very runny and a little sticky and not that moisturizing. I should have gotten this in the body butter while I still had the chance. I really wish Jaqua didnt discontinue this scent. It was my HG banana scent!

The consistency and the smell of this lotion is great, but the spice in the lotion really burns and irritates my sensitive skin. I wish Jaqua would have gone a bit lighter on the spice.

Sorry Nosh--Banana Spice Cake is as gross as it sounds. I'm not a scented lotion girl but I was intrigued by the Jaqua Girls line. While the lotion itself is very nice--thick, rich creamy lotion--the scent is puke-worthy. I love bananas, banana flavor (I live for banana bread), and spice cake (I also live for carrot cake). I do not love Jaqua Banana Spice Cake. It's more like spicy banana, which doesn't sound as bad as banana spice cake but is still 100% gross.

I am a huge Jaqua fan, but am disappointed overall with the Banana Spice Cake Luscious Lotion. For one thing, I'm used to the rich, thick, super moisturizing formula of their Shea Body Butters. The Lotion is a bit too runny, and the moisture doesn't last more than about two hours. The texture of the lotion is a bit sticky in addition to being a bit too runny. The lotion applies fine, and it absorbs quickly, but the moisture doesn't last for me. This is an average lotion overall. The scent, however, is delicious! It does smell like banana spice cake but is not heavy on the banana. I LOVE the scent and will purchase it in the Body Butter formula. This lotion is not a repurchase for me, only because of the runny texture and the non-lasting moisturization.

Yum, this smells so good, like sweet bananas and cinnamon. If you have Demeter Banana Flambee, this smells just like it. It moisturizes my dry skin and I don't need to reapply. The scent is fairly strong, and lasts all day.

I have tried this cream and WOW it is one of the better smelling creams in the Jaqua line. It smells EXACTLY like Banana Spice Cake. It's a true banana smell with quite a bit of spice in it. I tried this on my arm, and it moisturized pretty well. The smell stayed with me for a while, too, unlike the Buttercream Frosting. I also prefer this formula over the Buttercream Frosting. The Frosting is "too much" while this stuff is just right. Smells delish and moisturizers. I will buy this as soon as I can.
