I am not sure hoe much this stuff normally costs because I bought mine at a discount department store for under 10 bucks. It definitely goes on smoothly and works well and I would buy it again, but not more that what I paid for it the first time. I prefer more creamy, velvety primers as opposed to silicon based ones. So, I gave it 4 stars for that.

This is the best primer I have used so far. I have tried out several silicone based primers over the years, but I keep going back to this one. Silicone based primers work well for my skin. I much prefer them to cream primers as I find creams to sink into the skin and act more like mousturisers than primers. This primer really creates that second skin, which creams generally don't have the consistency to do. My foundation applies beautifully with this on, and I can even get away with not moisturising sometimes when using this primer. The only thing that is stopping me from re-purchasing it at the moment is the $$$ factor. It is $38 here in Australia. Having said that, this primer generally lasts me 6-8 months, and that's with wearing it 5 days per week. Although it contains 30ml of product (as most primers do), a little goes a long way with this one. I recently bought another silicone based primer one month ago which has nearly run out, because of the fact that the consistensy was too thick. Not this one - the consistency is absolutely beautiful. I really recommend this - it's one of the best products I have ever used. This is a rarity, but I'm giving 5 lippies for this one, beautyqueens!

I love silicone based primers, and this one's truly great! I've been wearing it for 6 months now, and I find it really hydrating and smooth to put on. It definitely keeps my makeup in place as well. Sometimes when my skin's a bit oilier this doesn't do the complete job, but I still use it almost as a moisturiser, and apply a layer of a smoothing matte primer over the top. This holds it amazingly! I definitely recommend this primer for people with mostly normal skin - I applied it to a client once with very dry skin and it made her foundation flake. It's a great product!

I really liked the texture and consistency of this primer and it went on perfectly. Though the thing is I would use it more as a moisturiser than a primer as it made my skin feel great, but doesn't help keep my makeup on (in fact the opposite).

LOVE this primer! I purchased it at TJ Maxx, so I got quite the deal judging from those amazon links at right. This is everything I've wanted in a primer and never could find- until now. Most importantly, it doesn't break me out like all other primers I've tried. It's a very moisturizing primer, which is great.(It just glides on like buttah! A little goes a loooong way, FYI) With this and a setting spray, I'm truly set all day. Awesome!

I'd definitely try and find one in a TJ or Marshall's before ordering elsewhere...but honestly? I'd pay full price if I had to. It's worth it.

This is my very first foundation base. I do like the gel consistency and the formula. It doesn't break my out and it mattens my oily T-zone. It also makes my skin a tiny bit hydrated. It mostly leaves a flawless finish to my face. When applied, it needs a minute to sink into the skin, but it does have a short drying time. The packaging is convenient and hygenic. I only checked "no" to buying again because I wanna try other brands.

I really like how this product feels on my skin, it really creates an even canvas to work on but the problem for me is it seems to have the opposite effect that a primer should have, i found my makeup was sliding off my skin after an hour or so, if you have normal to oily skin like me, this probably isn't the primer for you!!! :)

It definitely gives me a silky finish, but I didn't see any other effect. So I can only say it's ok,neither good nor bad to me

This is a pretty good primer and definitely out performs mac's prep and prime. It helped my liquid foundation glide on. I'm wouldn't say that it helps my foundation last any longer but it does prevent me from using too much. It did not cause me to break out. It's not my HG as there are others I would like to try first.

My primer of choice but I only realised this when I tried its poor imitiation, Revlon's Beyond Natural primer. A little goes a long way and my face feels smooth and protected before I apply my foundation. The price is quite reasonable.
I only use this when I apply liquid foundation or tinted moisturiser as I found with mineral make up it starts to clump up a bit and then come off when I brush the foundation on.

Pretty cheap and Product last a very along time. you only need to use a little bit else product begins to 'fold'/clump together on your face.

would consider repurchase, but i am trying other primers/brighteners.

I really like this primer.

I have alot of ice pick acne scarring and this helps to "fill" them in and smooth them out which is what i wanted. It is a thick clear gel and you dont need very much of it. It gives you a silky base for foundation and helps it stay on until wash off time. It is $42 (NZD) which is quite good.
I will continue to use this until anything better comes along but for now it is great :)

I really liked this product. It only took a small amount to cover my whole face. It left a smooth and silky finish and really made a difference even under my tinted moisturizer. I found at TJ Maxx for 7 bucks. A great find for that price.

I'm always on the hunt for a great foundation primer. And one day I was browsing in TJ Maxx and I came across this product. It was priced at $8 and I had never heard of the brand so I thought I would try it.

When I came home I looked the product up online and learned that it is normally $34. I was surprised and even more excited to try it.

You have to make sure you let this product dry fully before you try to put on your foundation or application won't go well. I liked how easy my foundation went on with this under it. But after a few weeks I got two cystic pimples. And I never get those. I stopped using the Face Base and they went away.

I have used it once since then but it'll never be the same because those pimples were painful!

If you want to try it I say go ahead, but personally my favorite primer is Sephora's Smoothing Primer.

I have bought primers from MAC, Napoleon Perdis and ModelCo and havent been convinced at all about the use of any of them.Think I gave away my MAC primer and used the NP as a moisturizer.Basically I had come to the conclusion that a primer was a waste of time. However I do have dry skin which becomes tight after foundation is applied.I guess I also gave up on foundation as a result.
Am now in rethink mode about foundation and primer ever since I tried Kevyn Aucoin liquid foundation and could finally see how a primer might help keep the dryness away and get the most out of makeup.I almost caved and bought the KA primer but the price was a bit forbidding for a product I have never actually been convinced about. So I pulled out my Modelco primer and tried it on.Yes it feels like an oil slick when you first apply it.But you need to wait a little and then start applying your concealor and foundation. It feels wonderful and sets beautifully.Think it works best for normal to dry skin like mine though. Will update on how it works with the foundation. For now its wonderful with just concealor and a light dusting of face powder (Bobbi Brown).I am glad I didnt buy the KA primer which is approx three times more expensive than this fantastic one.My skin feels like velvet right now!

Hmmmm...at first I was happy with this primer, but this primer is like a thick, thick gel. It doesn't feel like it sinks into my skin at all which i don't really like because then I'm putting a foundation over the top and it just feels like a lot of 'gunk' ontop of my face. So not a great primer for me!!

Very good primer which really simplifies the makeup application process. Prior to finding this i was using a primer by Napoleon but having moved on to Model Co I really wish I had come across this gem sooner as my makeup applies more evenly and stays on for longer. Overall I am very pleased with this primer and will buy again.

When I first saw this primer and I tested it on my hand, I thought Why Not? So I went home and tried it without moisturizer. Let me tell you it was good, but not great. I was satified and i thought maybe it also depends what kind of powder/foundation you are using. the next day i used a facial moisturizer and eye cream and it worked wonders! but overall i was using it on super hot days (90 degrees!!!) and it my powder foundation didnt run, or fade. i worked and 8 hour shift and my blush/bronzer also stayed put. this primer is also great when you use it as a primer for the eye area. i highly recommend it, the only thing that might not convince people is that in order for it to absorb into your skin without feeling slick/oily, is to really let it sit for about a minute or two. trust me that grace period will really allow it to absorb and "dry" a little. The best part is I got this primer at TJ Maxx for $8!!!

Oooohhhh - I've not reviewed this yet. I guess that's what happens when you own sooooooo many products. ModelCo facebase is my FAVOURITE primer of all time. Makeup just looks so much better and is so much eaiser to apply after I apply this. I've been using it for years. When I don't use it (when I get lured by other products) my makeup just doesn't look the same. It works fantastically under both mineral makeup and liquid foundation. I cleanse, tone, apply sfp moisturise, face base then foundaiton. Love this stuff and well priced too. I don't need to use much - maybe not even as much as a pea for my whole face and neck. xo
