As with all the Essie nail polishes, I love the drying time and its durability. I liked this color at first, I felt it was a pretty neutral, but after a few days I started to feel like my nails just looked dirty. The lightish brown made my nails look discolored, like I smoked three packs a day for 40 years. Not pretty at all. Maybe it was because I am very pale, it might be okay on a darker skin tone.

This is definitely my best neutral nail color. I have olive-hued skin and this color looks just perfect whether I have a tan or not. It is a milky, creamy, peachy-beige color with some warmth to it. The formula is easy to apply and dries fast so it is fairly straightforward to use. I highly recommend it for any girl who is searching for an alternative to the pink neutrals.

Bleh. That pretty much sums it up. I hated it, but to be fair, it could probably look OK on a warmer skin tone. I thought I wanted a less-pink alternative to Mademoiselle, which it is, but it looks yellow and icky on my pale, neutral/cool skin. Swapped away!

Hmm I'm on the fence about Iced Chai Latte, which looks like a milky nude tinged with some yellowed peach. On the one hand, I really like the look of nude toes in the summer, with a tan in strappy heeled sandals. On the other hand, that's the only use I can get out of this nailpolish. I can't wear it without a tan, looks too dirty on my skintone. In fact, I can only wear this with a "fresh" tan - I put this on after a trip to the beach over the weekend and it looked so sexy with my strappy bronzey 3 inch heels that night. Well, my tan is fading and the color is looking worse and worse against my skintone each day. The application and finish is very nice - smooth and glassy looking, not at all dull and this is day 4. I think this color best suits warmer or medium skintones, definitely try this out or don't pay retail for this color. As for me, I'll keep this around but I won't repurchase because it's not as versatile as some of my other nudes. No way can I wear this on my hands, or in my paler months, it's too yellow for me :(

I got this polish on sale for $1.15 today, and it is my new holy grail! It makes m y nails look absolutely perfect--already, two people have asked me if my nails are real. I hope it was just a lucky find and that this polish is not being d/c!

i just can't make up my mind about this polish. i wanted a more neutral than pink opaque creme polish because i didn't have one, which this is in some lights (with four coats) but in others it gets this nasty yellow tinge and in some it's downright brown. makes my nails look like i have a fungus. plus, you have to apply very carefully. the formulation is good...very shiney and long wearing. it streaks, but not as badly as other pale polishes i've used. it brings out the yellow undertones in my neutral skin, and i prefer to highlight the cooler side. i probably wouldn't buy it again, but might use it once in a while.

This is like Essies ever so popular Madmoiselle shade, but instead of pink, this one is nude. It works great with my NC30 warm skintone. Not too milky. It is sheer. I like the look of just one thicker coat; polished, but my natural nail is still visable... so this shade just makes my nail look more groomed and healthy. I love this shade, it is everything I wanted Cafe Forgot to be :)

This is a really pretty YNBB shade. I am NW20 (it's winter...) Í had to use two layers because it streaked like mad but somehow the initial streaks evened out while the polish dried and I am actually happy with the end result, both in natural light as under artificial light. On me this is a very well balanced neutral color with no obvious pink, peach, brown or yellow undertone. 2 layers is almost fully opaque on me. For me this one's a winner!

Once again, I've been suckered by a cute name and the promise of natural-looking, flawless nails.
My second go at Essie polishes, Iced Chai Latte is a pretty color (on someone, I'm sure -- just not my NC45/ggg/ddd skin).
This is a creamy beige that leans towards the yellow-peachy side. Basically, it's a sheer version of Dulce de Leche -- without the shine.
I'll be swapping this, and wondering if I should bother spending any more of my hard-earned money on Essie polishes.

bought this yesterday and the cashier must not have been paying attention (well i wasnt either when she checked it out). I only noticed when I got home and i looked at the receipt. It was only .99cents! I would have to say that it IS a pretty milky color, pale pink, milky whitish , if that makes sense. But it took me 3 coats to achieve that , 1 coat was so sheer it was almost like i wasnt wearing nail polish, 2 coats looked like i had 1 coat on, and with 3, I finaly got it to show. it looks good with my tanned complexion and it makes my nails look groomed and polished. Im not so so sure i like the color....it looks good enough but nothing that gets me to say,wow my nails look good today. maybe ill try "cafe forgot", i like shimmer. i do have to admit thought that i love the way essie goes on, it doesnt streak even if i put on a million coats! lol.

This name is actually somewhat appropriate for the shade! If you like your chai latte with heaps of milk that is! Best described as a pale almond cream sheer, I love how this gives my nails a healthy clean look while allowing my nail bed’s natural pink show through a bit (but definitely not a “clear” shade). Compared to its shade twin, OPI’s Romantic Retreat, I prefer the slightly more sheer and glassy finish I get with Iced Chai Latte. It’s not the most creative/different shade, but not a bad addition to the collection for warm skin toned ladies.
