I used to use EOS shaving cream, which was pretty good, but decided to try Aveeno when I ran out. Boy, was it a good idea. I love the barrier it provides for my skin, & I haven't suffered from in-grown hairs or razor burn for months. I definitely will be buying this again... hope it never gets discontinued! *knock on wood

this product did absolutely nothing for me. i had high hopes based on the reviews and my overall liking for the Aveeno brand. i'm prone to in-grown hairs and i was looking for a product that would provide a nice glide for the razor. when it comes to shave creams...i prefer gels. they provide a thicker barrier and adhere to the leg. the Aveeno product is a foam and i feel it doesn't provide enough protection and barrier for the razor. I would have to use a TON to get a decent spread. also, the can will rust in the shower! my can rusted around the spout causing the cream to clog...and when some did come out, i wasn't really wanting to put rusty cream on my body. i dunno, i was highly disappointed...i've had better results with body wash. definitely not worth the $7+ i paid for it

This is an essential for me. If I try shaving w/o it, or w/ a different brand my legs get super itchy. It's very odd because it never gets a rash or anything, just itches like crazy. As long as I use this I don't have that problem, and like the reviewer before me I find that I actually need to shave less when I use it.

Love this product. I love the texture, the smell, the way that the positively smooth shave gel actually makes me SHAVE LESS! *Yup, after 1 month of use, I've noticed I only need to shave every 4 days instead of every 3* I so recommend this product!!!

I bought this in late summer because I ran out of my previous bottle of shaving gel. I stopped shaving during the winter so it stayed in my shower for a few months. I needed it right before my trip to florida during the winter, and the packaging rusted and stopped pumping out gel! This will rust if you have a humid bathroom. No likey.

I have never used shaving creams due to my sensitive skin, I always used soap because the skintimate, gillete, etc. irritated me, but I tried this awhile ago and it is great! It smells nice and it prevented razor bumps and has a very nice consistancy. A great shaving cream!

I have itch-prone, sensitive skin, and this shaving gel has worked the best for me of all I've tried (including other drugstore brands and Philosophy's blue one). It doesn't break me out in a rash. It protects me from the blade. It gives a thick coating of foam.

One lippie off for the gross residue it leaves on my bathtub. You'll need to clean the tub that more frequently.

(On the plus size for Philosophy's, didn't leave the scumminess, but it made me itch slightly.)

A good product and worth trying if you have sensitivities or like a thick, protective foam from a little gel.

I suffer from razor bumps because all the other shaving creams have fragrance or something in it that just doesn't agree with my skin. I have SUPER sensitive skin... I am prone to razor bumps in my bikini zone, armpits, and sometimes my legs. I love Aveeno's shaving cream because it really helps prevent the severity of bumps. The smell is a little "too natural" and weird, but it doesn't stick to you all day. I'm always buying this!

I like the shaving gel. Compared to others it does do it's job in keeping razor bumps away. I would repurchase for this reason. However, I find the oatmeal scent slightly nauseating. It smells more like play-doh or clay IMO.

This is a very good shaving gel, but what is spectacular about it for me is the heavenly scent. It's a bit on the pricey side for a drug store brand, but worth it.

Only the best shaving cream ever!!!! All the other pretty colored, sweet smelling, consumer-traps that are other shaving creams, give me horrible razor burns and I never get a close shave. This is the one and only shave cream I will spend a penny on!!

I'm a woman but this is what I use for shaving. Aveeno makes the best shaving cream ever! The absolutely best (for me) for the bikini area. No bumps!

This is my HG of shave gels! I will never go back to using Skintimate. This lathers up to the right consistency and does not irritate the skin. Excellent!
UPDATE: Four years since I wrote this review, and it *still* stands at the only shaving gel for me.

My son uses this on his sensitive and easily irritated face. It seems to have cleared up the little bumps he was getting. He loves the gel consistency that foams up into a plush cream and the tin lasts forever. This is all he will use now. The price is decent, but we try to buy on sale. EDIT: July/08 I am also using this as I get a lot of razor bumps/irritation on my legs. It is settling things down nicely.

This is THE ONLY shaving cream that will not give me a hideous rash. I have the most sensitive skin on my body on my legs and I used to dread shaving. I can't even use scented lotions on them! I can't use anything else, so they had better never stop making it. I can't say enough good things about this shaving cream... the only one I can ever find that is fragrance free. My only complaint is that it's always a bit pricier than the other brands.

This is absolutely the best stuff!!!! I used to have red irritated bumps all over my legs and I have been using this for 4 or 5 years now and I will never go back to anything else. I really love all the nice scented stuff but my skin really doesn't. I get itchy and red. Once I started using this, I had no more ingrown hairs and my legs have been baby smooth for years now. Once you use this, you will never go back. Trust me.

I live in the very hot, humid south and I always wear slacks or jeans - never shorts (in public). During the summer, I always hated to have to shave because my knees and the back of my thighs would break out in painful, itchy, irritated red bumps. My legs looked horrible. That is all in the past now. I purchased this on a whim, not really expecting any miracles... but boy oh boy did I get one. I'm on my second can, and it's July, and I haven't had the first bump. YEH!!! The true test came 4th of July. I rained horribly, then the sun came out, then I went out - in jeans. It was so steamy outside, and my legs were starting to feel the effects. I truly expected to find a bad case of razor burn rash on my legs, but there wasn't the first bump!! I have tried everything and every brand, from soap to gel to cream. My legs ALWAYS broke out... but those days are in the past!!! Just give this product a chance... I'm sure you'll be pleased just as I was (and still am). It has a nice (not overpowering) smell and my legs are so soft and smooth when I'm finished. Go try this for yourself!! You'll love it!! almost forgot... it gives the same result for my bikini are and underarms (my most sensitive area)
