I am allergic to:

Cobalt Chloride
Nickel
Perfume/Fragrance (not all kinds would have to patch test)
2-bromo-2-nitropane-1,3-diol
Citronellol
Citral
Coumarin
Lyral
Farnesol
Alpha-hexylcinnamic aldehyde

A very thoughtful friend bought me this and some of the other Aveda sensitive products for Christmas. I have repurchased this and the conditioner and have to say its fantastic. I have medium length, fine hair, which I wash and condition every day. I can use the added colour ingredients (violet since you ask to help keep my highlights) but NOT the perfume additives which they do for you in the shop. My holy grail shampoo wont use anything else. £10 in UK for 200ml.

I must admit - I purchased 2 bottles of this at the exceptionally low price of $5.99 (I also picked up 2 bottles of the conditioner). I have very fine wavy hair that was, in the past, chemically butchered. My scalp is incredibly sensitive, so considering the price, I gave this a try. Love it. My hairdresser told me to stay away from shampoos that contain sodium laureth sulfate, and this seems to fit the bill. If you have oily hair, thae lack of heavy suds-ing may be distressing, but for me, this has worked wonders.

nothing special at all , overpriced .i have very sensitive scapf and jason shampoos works very well for only 5£.I started using JASON JOJOBA SHAMPOO and i highly recommend for somebody, who wants fantastic results.I tried many products starting from expensive brands Rusk, Abba,KMS, Kerastase,Clinique finishing natural brands like Weleda. I have baby thin, wawy oily hair with dry ends. i use Jojoba's shampoo and results are better compare with Kerastase even and way better compare with Johnson&Johnson ...and even without conditioning my hair is moisturised, shine, very very soft and full of body. My husband has dry hair and the shampoo is the best as well!!!! highly recommended.

I have a sensitive scalp & decided to try this shampoo after Health magazine recommended it. It's great! Lovely light scent, lathers well, rinses cleanly, and no irritating ingredients. I have think extremely straight hair & it left it lush and shiny. Alas, it is expensive and can be hard to get so I took off one lippie. Update: as of April, 2004 this product has been discontinued according to Aveda SA & confirmed by e-mail from Aveda.

Perfect shampoo for my thick dry hair. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money over the years searching for a shampoo that would work with & not against my hair type. This is the one! Highly recommended especially for use with the All Sensitive Conditioner! Girls if you have thick dry hair, look no further than these 2 products!

At first, i was so excited to find this shampoo. I recently developed an allergy to sodium lauryl sulfate, and have been searching for a HG shampoo without SLS. I decided to splurge and try the All Sensitive. It's 9 bucks for 6 ounces--ouch on the pocketbook.

At first i thought the smell was rather nice, but as i've used it for two weeks, the smell has begun to irritate me. It actually smells like canned green beans at times. The conditioner has the same scent. The shampoo doesn't lather very well, and though my hair is not tangly, neither does it feel very clean when it dries. I have long (past my shoulders) straight hair, and this shampoo makes it very limp.
A better SLS-free shampoo is made by Avalon Organics. It lathers, smells wonderful, and cleans hair squeaky clean without stripping.

I have so many allergies, and no matter what I tried, all shampoos left my scalp feeling irritated and itchy. No dandruff... no rash... just itchy. I finally started to search for fragrance-free shampoos, and that's next to impossible... even baby shampoos have it! I finally started using Paula's Choice, and it worked well... but the chmeically smell was so overbearing that I always wanted to gag. Finally... I decided to try the Aveda... and it's exactly what I needed! No strong fragrance, just a slight hint of "aveda-scent" which disappeared quickly. my scalp feels soothed, my hair is clean, and my nose is happy~!

I have serious blonde highlights in my (short) hair and I need to keep it from getting too dry. I use All Sensitive every morning because it's one that one can use frequently. It doesn't dry anything out, smells OK, and is gentle. Since I have serious "bed head" every bloody morning, I wash my hair daily to calm it down.

After years of wondering why I felt like I had bugs crawling on me, and weird redness down my back after showering, and general sensitivity to so many products, I finally figured out that I have an SLS allergy.

I think many more people have this than they realize - blaming redness on dryness or bumps on acne.

Aveda's is one of the few shampoos without SLS. I found one other "natural" shampoo in a health food store (most others there are also packed with SLS).

I've used it daily for about 2 years now, along with various conditioners.

It leaves me hair plain - not overstripped, not overconditioned, not scented. Just washed clean.

The gentlest shampoo I've ever found (the ingredients read like a botanical garden - and starting at the *top* not the bottom!). This shampoo can be used every day and won't dry out your hair.
