I have used Sage products religiously since the mid 90's. I've always had bad skin and have plastered on tons of makeup trying to hide it. When I started using these products--the zit creams, aha, bha, moisturizers, etc, I noticed an immediate improvement in my skin!!! No kidding here, I was amazed at the difference. I've been addicted to their stuff ever since. My skin has gone from crappy to glowingly perfect. I've gone from transvestite-heavy foundations to mineral powder to bare skin--The products are *that* good!!!
I can say honestly, I've cheaped out and stopped buying them from time to time--and my skin starts looking dull, flaky, pimply and just plain icky within a matter of a couple of weeks. I'm right now in an icky-I-hate-my-skin phase because I ran out of stuff and have been using an organic, drugstore line--big mistake!! I feel bad about my skin again and know it looks nowhere near the perfection it used to be.
The only problem is that their products are *incredibly* expensive. I can see how Estee Lauder and whoever else, charge alot because they give you fancy packaging and "cutting edge" ingredients. The packaging for Sage products is completely lousy...they look like something I'd do if I was making this stuff at home myself. And you're definitely not paying for cutting edge ingredients or anything new and unique...everything they use is old-school and been seen before. That being said though, the actual products themselves are *unbelievable* and *completely amazing*!!! Believe me, the results are phenomenal when you use Sage.
This smoothing gel keeps my skin flawless. It exfoliates, keeps my pores nice and clear and really does work to reduce wrinkles(by removing cellular debris that makes wrinkles appear more prominent). This stuff is da bomb!!!
Again, I have to say price is the biggest problem. Now, they're also discontinuing the smoothing cream, in place of this newer version that costs like $80 for 2 ounces! The price is just outrageous for such small amounts of product... But, this stuff does really truly work wonders, so it's kind of like--do you want perfect skin or do you cheap out and buy some lesser product?

I love Sage! This product, now with Argirilene, works great for me. I use the Sage Facial Shampoo, Cleansing Grains, 20% Smoothing Gel, Biological Mask, and Gelloid. When I stick to the routine, including icing my face after washing, my skin looks so much better. I do add other products to my arsenal, but this smoothing gel really does work well for me.

This product is really bad for me! I'm using other Sage products which I love, but not this one. I got this item when I ordered the try me pack for oily skin. I used it religiously for about 3 months, but guess what - instead of diminishing lines, this stuff somehow makes lines on my forehead become more visible/deeper! I discontinue using this product about a month ago & now it's getting better. I might have to try it during summer instead of winter, but I'm kinda skeptical now. I also asked for a sampe of the 20% cream, but I don't think there's any difference.

This didn't do much for me. I first tried this for a week, following the directions, spreading (not rubbing) on a slightly damp face. NO effect whatsoever, and I would wake up with a clear film on my face that I would have to wash off. So I thought maybe it wasn't absorbing. I tried it for another week, this time rubbing until there was no sticky film left on my face. Better, I felt my skin was a BIT smoother in the morning, but I've seen better results with other exfoliants. Also, I always felt like this aggrevated the one or two pimples I always seem to have, making them bigger. Neither did I see a "glow". I really don't ahve any wrinkles yet, so I can't comment about its anti-aging properties, but this was a dud for me as an acne-preventative, as a skin smoother, etc. I find that a plain old aspirin mask makes my skin "glow" more and helps make pimples smaller and skin smoother, Clinique's TT lotion makes my skin more smooth, Darphin purifying balm gives me more of a "glow", etc etc. I seem to have a whole list of products that work better, make my skin smoother, helps pimples, and gives a glow. A no go for me. Plus this was EXPENSIVE. You could mix the different acids yourself and add aloe vera gel.

I've been using this for years and I truly believe it's the reason everyone thinks I'm a lot younger than I am. I use this gel during the day, and the 20% cream at night. No matter what other face products I'm using, this is, and always will be, a staple.

This is another excellent product by Sage. I keep this in the fridge and apply it at night. I make sure to use just a small amount otherwise it will be too thick and tacky. It stings slightly upon application, but it's nothing I can't tolerate. I have found that my skin looks smoother and brighter since I have been using this(2 months now). It does not break me out either. I wake up to soft smoother looking skin. Great product! :)

I like the pump that comes with this product, but I prefer the smoothing lotion over the gel. I swear that I see more improvement and get better results with the lotion. The gel feels tacky on my skin, doesn't seem to absorb well and I really don't like it under makeup.
So many wonderful anti aging agents though!

I use this exclusively as a spot treatment. I should say that I am still using the old formulation-- I bought a 2 oz bottle two years ago and with regular use it is still only half gone! But anyway, I bought it to use on my entire face but since my skin settled down I just use it for the occasional zit. I prefer this to a BP product for spot treating because as I understand it, BPs are more preventative while AHAs are better at exfoliating away a zit that already exists. So whenever I get a zit I just apply some Smoothing Gel and it is gone quickly and without leaving a scar.
I also use this for ingrown hairs in the bikini area. It works well for that too.

This product is unbelievable. I am very picky when it comes to using products on my face; and I have tried about everything. I use Retin-A at night and use this product in the day. The only bad thing is you have to use sunblock or you will BURN!! I have been using this product for about a month and have seen great results. The skin on my face is tight, clear, glowing, and I have no breakouts. I am 30 years old and I don't have a lot of wrinkles yet, but a few around my eyes. They are almost gone, ALMOST! I would recommend this produt to anyone with oily skin. I use the smoothing cream on my cheeks and the gel on my t-zone and forehead. I love this product, I will never use another product again.
Edit:I stopped using this product. I did see good results, but I didn't like the way it made my skin feel. My skin felt sticky, like there was a film on my skin. It isn't a bad product, I just got bored with it and felt that there is something better out there. Plus, I had to use the gel and the cream and I got tired of using both everyday. I want to find a one moisturizer for my combination skin.

This has been reformulated since the last time I used it and I have to say I'm very pleased with the new version! I always wondered if the PH level was correct on the old formulation because it never really exfoliated my skin and it should have, given the high perecentage of glycolic acid. This new version is WONDERFUL! It exfoliates my skin, cleans out my pores, and gives me a healthy glow. After using this at night, I wake up to fresh new skin that looks as if I just had a facial. I also like the subtle scent of freesia and the fact that the new formula does not "pill up" on my skin, for lack of a better term. Great product and I'm so happy with the results. I will definitely be repurchasing this.

I use this as a treatment/mask kind of thing, leaving it on my face for about 20 min. once or twice a week. It's very powerful stuff! I've used it on milia under my eyes and, where most AHA products take 3 or 4 days to eradicate milia, this only takes one! Only problem with undereye use is that it can leave the area a little dry and rough. Oh well... definitely will re-purchase.

This is the only Sage product I would consider buying again. I can't use the cleansers and the SPF 25 really doesn't move me, plus the directions in the Sage packet disturb me... Anyway, this gel is pretty good but is extremely overpriced. I have to wonder which ingredient is that expensive and I've ended up concluding that it must be the hyaluronic acid. I like the combination of acids (glycolic, salicylic, ascorbic and hyaluronic) and I love the fact that this doesn't have alcohol in it. I have been using the GlyMed Plus Serious Action gel with similar ingredients, but find it to be more drying and irritating because of the high alcohol content. This gel doesn't dry or irritate as much. But I'm still looking for something cheaper...

I am a big fan of Sage (really cleared up my skin) & this is one of my favorite products. The 20% Smoothing Gel somehow manages to help with oil &, over time, fade discolorations & scars. It's pricey stuff but I only use a tiny, pea sized dab once a day so the bottle lasts a long time. Well worth the money, imo.

I have dry sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts so I tried this to get rid of the flakiness. I also used the 5% Miracle Cream, and I do have to say this really works! My blemishes have almost cleared, and I only get a few occasional bumps every now and then. I haven't noticed any even-ness in my skin tone yet, but I'm sure I will get that over time. Thanxs Sage for the wonderful products!

Oh, 20% Smoothing Gel... how do I love thee, let me count the ways. I have been using this for 5 months now and my undereye circles and neck creases have gone from causing me mental anguish every time I got near a mirror, to a sort of a parlor trick I display to my relatives and friends. "Can you believe how you can barely see them now?" I ask with a grin. Then like clockwork, I stand back and recieve all the glowing praise and disbelief that a product in a glass jar can erase wrinkles.

This is a very strong product but it is effective on oily skin! I haven't had any large pimples since I started using this. Barbara recommends using it twice a day but it was too drying even for my extremely oily skin so I switched to once a day and I couldn't be happier. I recommend this but only to those with very oily skin! UPDATE: This product, like most of Sage's skincare, stopped working for me and caused a break out. I am no longer using any Sage products.

This stuff is amazing for controlling oil in the daytime, and it works really well with MSSR at night. My skin looks so much clearer and it actually has a glow! I didn't feel any stinging when i used it, just a minor tingling the first time i tried it and that was all. I got my one-ounce plastic bottle in a swap so i'm sure the regular pump-dispenser packaging is better. Haven't used it long enough to see results for my pores, but i so love this stuff already.

I do love this product, however I think it's just a tad too rough on my skin. I was using this and the 12% smoothing cream for a few days and really dried out, even on my forehead, so I stopped using the 20% gel and things are much better now. On the other hand, it's definately effective and FAST! Surprisingly, I only felt a very minor tingling when using it...but it still dried me out. I may try this again in the summer, but I think the creams work better for me and I am looking forward to trying the 20% cream I just ordered =)
