I'd buy this again in a different shade, apricot is really pretty but it's not very flattering on my olive skin tone.

Like I say, 'I don't blush I shimmer'. In the Bahamas we don't have variety in terms of makeup (we don't have Physicans formula, Covergirl, etc.) But luckily in the last two years we opened up a Department Store featuring counters such as Bobbi Brown, MAC, Estee Lauder, Malone, Clinique....so I was elated. I looked at Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Apricot and thought it paired well with my skin tone because I have yellow undertones in my skin (NC45-NC50)
I am one to stay away from blushes (esp. matte formulas) and tend to just highlight the top of my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and my inner corners of my eyes. So this is perfect. The shimmers are kinda micro that it just looks like a sheen and not with visible shimmer particles. I also have nude. There is not really a truly visible difference when applied to the face but on your hands with a side by side comparison you can tell that one has pinkish/bronze tones and one has a light orange undertone especially when all the stripes are combined. Another plus with this is having the stripes, as it can be used as an eyeshadow! However, you won't get true color payoff as it isn't highly pigmented color wise unless to spray the brush first (maybe its just apricot & nude?)
All in all wonderful highlighting shimmer/sheen especially for use at night. I would repurchase. If you are looking for an alternative Milani Stripes are good options!

I bought this because I thought I needed a highlighter for when I go out at night. The shimmer is very fine and gives me a nice glow for my NC30 skin tone. I'm not sure if I'd wear this as a highliter during the day because it would be too shimmery. However, I'd probably dust a bit of it on my cheeks for a little extra oomph. I also tried it as an eyeshadow and it looks very summery and golden with a coral undertone. This might be something good to put in a day makeup bag to double as an eyeshadow and light blush. So far I really like it.

This is a gorgeous, gorgeous palette, but a little too ashy on my NC45 skintone. I have to pair it with a blush like MAC's Sunbasque for it to assume its optimum color. I like to use the individual colors as eye shadow, too. Probably would not buy it again, since I can't use it by itself.

Apricot SB started my collection of SB (Pink, Pink Quartz, Bronze, and Gold). I started to collect them because of the hype, and now swapping away all other SB except Apricot. For I have super oily skin, usually I hate shimmery products on my face, but for night out this is great blusher/highlighter. Apricot give nice, healthy, glowy peachish color that can never go wrong.

I can't believe I hadn't reviewed one of my favorite shimmerbricks! Apricot is one of the more pigmented shimmerbricks so it works great as a blush on my fair skin, but it's still light enough that I can apply it lightly as a highlighter on top of blush for a little extra oomph. While a couple of the stripes are too orange for me to wear as eye shadow, most of them work beautifully as light golden-peach washes of color. Apricot is probably best suited to fair to medium skin tones but may work on darker ones as well.

I like to use this with a very big fluffy brush. This way each color gets on the brush and it produces a great look. I love using a bit of this on the body at the beach. The color is flattering and the shimmer is subtle without being overly glittery. Think highlighter, not spotlight.
I have used this as on the face but prefer the effect on the body. The beige shade is flattering for contouring.

After reading all these raves about sb, i had to get one. I guess i should have read all the reviews before buying it, because this product is not suitable for someone with huge pores on the cheeks....
After sweeping it over my cheecks my pores looks gigantic, the shimmers appears to magnify every single pore....
I believe that i only had problem w/ sb, because recently i bought a similar product from Kanebo (cofret), and it didn't emphasis my pores, it adds a subtle glow on my cheecks.

Mmm........not keen on this baby at all!
This is one of those products that you think you must have when you see it and realise you shouldn't have bothered with when you wear it! Not really that flattering when on, it's kind of nice but gently dusted on a light to tan skin tone. The five colours, although different, somehow look pretty similar when used individually, there isn't much difference between the lightest and the darkest shade. Any skintone darker than tan, you may as well rub biscuit dust on your cheeks as that kind of looks the same! It is pretty paired with a darker blusher as a contour, but not by itself really. MAC Skinfinish does the same.......but so much better!
The compact is nice though, I have hours of fun emptying the loose dust out of my makeup bag when I use it, Oh joy!

I like this product but I don't love it. After reading other reviews maybe I'm not applying it properly and should try it more as a highlighter instead of bronzer. When I first bought it I used to wear it everyday until I realized just how shimmery it was. Now it's more as a highlighter or for going out at night.
The color is beautiful and it gives a great shimmer. It is expensive but I've had mine for almost a year and half and use it pretty regularly. I still have half of it left. I think it is a good deal, however, mine clasp broke and now the compact doesn't stay shut. That's kind of a pain and I expect better quality from BB.

I love this shimmer brick! I heard so many reviews on apricot that i decided to get it. reviewers have stated that it looks good as a blush. im always in a rush, so i dont have time to buff!
i used this as an eyeshadow..and woah! it looks amazing! I used the lightest color as a highlight, one of the peach colors on lid and the darkest color (brown) as the crease. The colors are really nice for summer. I also used it as a highlight on my cheek bones.
Very nice for summer! Loved it!

COLOUR...
Love! When it comes to blush, the most flattering colour on me is peach and my "ideal" shimmery peach would be a toned-down orange fused with gold shimmer. This is it (and it's taken me a while to be finally satisfied)! The shimmerbrick starts from the lightest colour, an off-white gold down to what looks like a brown, but what is really a straight peach. I don't always swirl the colours together (because it can look too dark), but that's the good thing - colour is buildable! I've never tried it as eyeshadow personally, but this is definitely multi-purpose. I often take the lightest shade to highlight my nose, inner corner of my eyes and top of my cupid's bow.
SHIMMER / GLOW...
Like others have said, the shimmerbrick can make you look like a disco-ball if you're heavy-handed. Bobbi Brown recommends the Face Blender Brush - but IMO, that's too dense, giving too heavy an application. Go for a sparser blush and buff buff buff! The shimmers are what will give you that beautiful peach glow - I guarantee you! I've tried many many products and nothing else gives such a divine glow. I think it's to do with how finely milled the powder is (better than MSFs by far). It may look too much at first, but I'm sure you can control this by how much you apply! :)
PRICE / PACKAGING...
Too expensive, really. If you're willing to invest, then I definitely recommend this. I haven't found any dupes as such, but perhaps a similar shade is MAC's Nuance Mineralize Blush. This is more orange than peach and contains gold shimmer. Not as finely milled, but if you're interested I have a picture in my profile showing how "glowy" this is. As for packaging - as I read somewhere before - it's a little awkward to use the mirror (the compact only opens up to 90 degrees). It's okay though - classic black case with the Bobbi Brown logo printed on top. I haven't travelled with this before, so I can't say anything about how sturdy it is.

Gives fantastic definition to cheekbones, and really helps to highlight the best features of the face, as well as being long-lasting.
Have had it for almost two years, and still have loads left, even though I use it every day! So in that respect great value for money even though it's a reasonably expensive product compared to cheaper high street brands.

I LOVE THIS
what made me buy this was a similar product that i got put on me by this japanese brand fancl. it was the last day when i was in hong kong, and i didnt have the mind to buy it.
in the UK, they dont sell fancl products so i started to hunt for a similar product, and i found this BB shimmerbick. The size is much bigger and the colours are much stronger but i love it more than the fancl one. but anyway, im glad i didnt get the other one and got this instead.
i use this as a blush, as it gives me a nice glow and the colour seems more natural on my yellow toned skin. everytime i wear this, my friends comment on how healthy my skin looks!

I love BB shimmerbricks! I own, sandstone, pink quartz, apricot, bronze and rose shimmebricks.I always add one as a setting powder and finishing touch to my blush which is usually a MAC blush from my palette. Apricot is great to wear over peachy colored blushes to give it that glow. I usually wear it over my MAC blush in peaches. I use my flirt skunk brush and swirl a bit and tap off the excess lightly buff it into my cheeks and dab on my nose, forehead and chin. Instant perfection to my makeup routine!

I recently bought this and love it. I use it as a highlighter on my cheekbones and brow bones after I've used Bobbi Brown blush in shade Tawny, which I am also a huge fan of. It gives a really pretty and healthy glow to my tanned South Asian skin, with a subtle apricot tone. I wouldn't use this all over my face as a blusher/ bronzer, as I think it is too shimmery for that, so I think it's best used as a subtle highlighter on the cheekbones or as eyeshadow rather than a full on bronzer for all over the cheeks. I prefer this shimmer brick to all the liquid/cream/stick highlighters I own. I do think the packaging is too big for the tiny palette of shimmer brick inside.
