OPI Revved Up and Red-y is a very pretty, wearable neutral medium cherry red polish with a mixture of gold and silver shimmer. The color is a very subtle and office friendly red. There is nothing particularly flashy about this polish. That being said, there's nothing overly fantastic about this polish either. The application was wonderful. Oh, how I love the old OPI formula! Two coats offered a perfectly opaque manicure and lasted for days without chips...even while pushing papers and daily typing. So, Revved Up & Red-y is office friendly in more ways than one. *wink* RU&R, though not my favorite red, is still a nice polish to own.

Revved Up and Red-y is from the OPI Ford Mustang collection. While it's not dark, per se, it is the darkest color from that three-pc collection. This red is slightly darker than midtone red with gold and smaller silver shimmer, maybe a little red shimmer in there too. It's my fave from the Mustang collection, and I've used it so many times, I'm seriously thinking of backing it up. If you have to choose one polish from the Mustang collection, RuaR should be it.

This cherry red with a very subtle gold shimmer has HG status on my tips. It's terrific with my pale neutral complexion and the closest I come to wearing a creme. 2 coats for coverage. There were minor edgewear issues, but the color is worth it.

This is a medium-deep red with a mixture of gold and silver shimmer. It's very Christmas-y to me, and yet it still seems subtle and not particularly flashy, considering it's from a Ford Mustang collection! I think it's a fairly neutral red that many skintones should be able to pull off; I'm warm-toned myself. I doubt this will ever be one of my favourite reds (I am quite a fan of reds), hence the 4-lippie rating, but this is a pretty nice colour nonetheless.

My new HG red! A deep red but not dark, think red cherries. It has a very subtle shimmer to it, not enough to seem super sparkly but enough that it doesn't seem flat and you can tell it's not a creme. A great red that looks fun but still is appropriate to wear to the office. Love it!

Curse OPI and their LE colors! This color is awesome. It's leans towards being a cool toned deep red with gold shimmer. I wore it for 2 weeks on my toes with no chips. It applies very evenly. Yes, I would buy it again.

The Color
A medium to dark red with lots of metallic frosty shimmer or smaller not too chunky gold and silver pieces of glitter. I would say this color is more neutral to cool but as a medium warm, I found it just a marvellous match to my color.
The Wear
I was a bit surprised but this chipped after just a few hours about 1 mm at the tip of my ring finger. I patched it. Later, on day 4, I got a tremendous chip of 1/2 of my pinky. I normally use and did use Nailtek and plenty of cleaning products so I cannot explain it. However, I usually do manis after 3 days and so 4 was sort of getting old anyway. I would deduct a lipstick for this were it not for the color.
The General Experience
I really liked this on. I liked it better than Ultamate Berry Beautiful. It is close to I'm Not Really a Waitress for a color I like. I love the metallicy cool shimmery look to INRAW but I love the more sophisticated hue of this color but I don't love the glitters as much as the shimmers in INRAW. So these are both very good colors. My other fave is the shimmery warm bright red China Glaze Visions of Grandeur so if you like two of those yourself you may want to try my third rec. You can email me if you have any specific questions. However, I did lose this color in a theft of Nov. 29, 2005 and so I cannot take additional photos at this time!

One of the three shades inspired by Ford's release of the 2005 Mustang, Revved Up & Red-Y apparently replicates one the shades the Mustang is available in ("redfire clearcoat metallic"). This is a rich red with enough gold shimmer to give it some oomph. For those who like the look of OPI's That's an EL of a Color, but fear it may be too warm, might want to check Revved Up...similar gold shimmer, but this fairly neutral red polish does lean slightly towards the cooler end of the spectrum.

This is the best red I've ever used. It's not too bright, not too dark, and has just enough shimmer without being sparkly. I'm pale and often red nail polish and lipstick turn a weird bright pink shade on me, but this color was a true red from the first coat. Highly recommended.

This is gorgeous!! A rich red with gold shimmer. I love it! A bit like Malaga Wine with gold shimmer. Really lovely. Perfect for Christmas. Perfect anytime! Limited edition, so I think I'll buy a back-up bottle right away :)
