Absolutely the best of the best. I have spent tons of time trying on all cream type blushes and none can come even close. Candy Apple is the brightest, darkest of the colors. I tryed a few of the lighter colors but candy apple is the most economical as you only need a tiny bit. The lighter colors you have to apply more product.
Application is beautiful and fun to put on. It blends out with the slightlest pressure of your fingers. there are no streaks or anything.
The texture is light satin. It isn't a cream like we would think of cream blushes. Laura Merciers cream blush is more of a cream, so it is not like that. Not greasy in any way. It does not have a painted opaque look, but more transparent without sacrificing color. And...it lasts on the skin a long time. Ya, the price 22 bucks really is outrageous but it lasts a long time since you only need a tiny bit. Add to this all the other wonderful features and lets just say if it becomes unavailable I am not going to be happy about it.
I would think that any complexion type could wear it but for those that have slightly dry or dry skin, this is the only thing you should be wearing.....if you want to look naturally beautiful!

Wow this is red. I think the SA applied it too heavily on me, but still... it can be a bit much if applied heavily. Formula dries quickly from cream to somewhat stiff-feeling powder.

This is a scary dark red in the pan but a gorgeous bright cheery candy red on the cheeks. As others have said, the texture is light and buildable. It gives a nice healthy flush to my face. It's not obvious that I'm wearing blush, it looks so natural. This is a really good staple for a pretty natural healthy glow. Sometimes I wish that it had a slight dewiness to it but then it might be less natural looking so I can't decide. Overall, it's one of my top favorite blushes. Doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the face at all. Lovely. I'm glad I picked this up although it took me forever to try it because it's so scary looking in the pan. Oh I'm an NC30.

The colour is lovely - like I've been exercising (but nicer!) - and the texture is brilliant. Looks dark red in the pan but goes on lightly - however it is very buildable. It is also great for adding colour to the lips - the texture is great for this. Having said all that however, I wouldn't buy this shade again - I'm looking for a dark red blush which is more blue-based.

Pale NW15 with blue/green eyes, natural blonde (though colored dark brown)

Candy apple is a beautiful and sheer color that compliment my skin wonderfully. The price is reasonable, although I suspect it won't last me forever. While it's quite buildable, you have to use a lot of it to get an intense color. When I'm aiming towards that just-in-from-the-cold naural flushed and dewy kinda look - this is just amazing! When I want more than that - I choose Stilas CC.

I love this and will definately re-purchase!

LOVE this cream blush!! When I received it, the color looked SO dark but I tried it anyway. I applied with PD's creme cheek color brush. It is so sheer, I usually have to apply 2-3 coats. I'm fair skinned and this color looks like I've just excercised. My skin is oily and in the summer I just dust a fine layer of powder over the top. I think this will work wonderful in the winter months.

thank you paula! what a truly lovely blush. this color looks so dark in the pot but it goes on deliciously sheer. the texture is creamy and moist and stays on all day. i got it with her ab fab brush and it is a wonder in itself. but this blush is easily applied with fingertips too. i can dab a little on my eyelids and get a lovely monochrome look. i have even used it on my lips with a lip balm. it is a bit dry for lips otherwise, but it's not meant for lips anyway. i want to try other paula dorf cream blush colors. i am adding it to my swap wish list!

I purchased this along with the cream color brush, and it does work wonderfully. Though as mentioned in other reviews, it does take awhile to build up the intensity. It gives a beautiful natural glow, I like this much better than the blush I was previously using, Nars Orgasm...for me, the candy apple color wears better and suits the winter season on my skintone.

Unfortunately, this product didn't work for me. I tried it several times with several different makeup looks and it just doesn't seem to matter. I am a MAC NC15-20 with dark brown eyes and hair and the color just doesn't look right. No matter how much (or little) I applied, what tool I used (brush, sponge, fingers), it always looked very obvious that I was wearing blush (I guesss I prefer a more natural look with pinks and peaches). The cream applies smoothly, but I discovered after trying it a few times that it caused me to break out (I'm not usually that sensitive). So between the breakouts, the "off" color and the high price (I'm much happier with my cheapie Jane blushes), I am swapping this away and won't be repurchasing.

Sorry, but I don't get the rave reviews this receives. It does not blend well on my skin, and I need to apply a lot of it to get any color. It also settles into pores and fine lines. The color is great, but this blush just does not work on my skin.

I cannot find anything more natural looking than this one. It suits me beautifully and I would never have guessed by looking at it in the pot. It is dark and almost russet - but it goes on super naturally and is just slightly lustrous, more matte - beautiful for all complexions.

Most all natural shade there is - I only wear this and Milani Luminous, depending on mood or weather.

I have fair skinned with slight pink undertones

Best cream blush I have ever used and I love this color. It is transparent and makes you look like you just came in from the snow or were thinking about your sweetie...a romantic flushed look. It gives you a natural look, not another caked on layer. Very light and buildable. Not greasy, it stays in place and does not slip. It won't bother or interfere with your foundation or concealer...just like a veil of color. I recommend using all of Paula Dorf's makeup brushes, especially with this product. The Cheek Cream Brush is angled and made out of Taklon to grab just enough color and control application so it goes on evenly and effortlessly. Candy Apple makes me happy just looking at it and I think it would work for every complexion. I always keep the container closed when not in use, even in the palette color box, just to protect it from air possibly drying it out, because I expect to have this product for a long time since any brush with Taklon bristles keeps you from using too much product.

A nice blush... The color looks great on my NC15, pale olive face and I like the soft feel of the product. My only gripe is that I have to put so much of it on to build it to the intensity I want, so I end up using a great deal of the cream. I guess I didn't expect it to be so sheer, but I seem to be the only one here with this problem! That said, I would buy it again just for the lovely, natural color. PD's prices are more reasonable than other high-end cosmetics, too, which I love. Perhaps I'll have better luck if I use it with the Cheek Cream brush...

I LOVE this blush. The texture is amazing. Not too hard like stick blushes, but not a creamy mess either. It spreads really easily with not much tugging at my skin (which is a HUGE plus point for me) Like all cream blushers, it takes a little longer to apply than powder blushers, but the final effect is great. Not artificial at all, very natural and healthy looking.

And it doesn't wear off by mid-day!

The color is also perfect. It looks dark red in the pot, but on my skin (where I've applied it) it looks like a soft reddish sheen. (It doesn't look like a berry shade to me, I don't see any purplish undertones in this color. More of a dark, dark red.) Very natural.

HG blush!! :D Would definitely re-buy.

Note: I have more or less oily skin and I apply this over my moisturizer and sunscreen.

I really do like these PD creme blushes. I think these are easier to work with than Stila's convertible color because they seem more buildable. I use Paula Dorf's cheek cream brush because it works well on depositing the right amount of color evenly on my cheeks. I took off a lippie because I find that the product dries out a bit over time which makes me have to work harder to get the blush onto my brush. But still, this color provides a very pretty natural flush that's dewy.

The color looks dark in the pot, but goes on in a very natural looking shade. I like this blush, but believe it to be too expensive for what you get.

It is all that I hoped it would be--gorgeous and natural on my NW20 skin. I used a plain ole foundation brush to apply, too.

My HG blush. I first discovered Candy Apple while on a search for the perfect red lipstick. While at Beauty and Main, I asked the MA for help finding a lipstick that looked good with my coloring (pale and rosy with light brown hair) - red lipstick never looked good on me and I couldn't figure out why. The MA explained to me that many people made the mistake of under-doing the rest of their face when applying a strong lipstick, so she put Candy Apple on my cheeks and then applied the lipstick. Needless to say, I walked out with the Candy Apple. I can't say enough good things about it. It looks a little intimidating in the pot - a dark wine color. I'd have sworn it'd be too dark for my pale-ass self. However, it goes on sheerly and really gives a just-in-from-the-cold flush. It's really beautiful! Nice texture too - smooth and easy to apply. It's a little pricey, but it goes a long way and is worth every cent. (and now I can wear red lipstick.)
