I have been using this shampoo on and off for 8 years after my hairstylist in Taiwan recommended me to use this on my fine, color-treated hair. She said it was gentle enough to use on my sensitive scalp. I don't really like the scent but it makes my hair look healthy so I'm not complaining. I use a clarifying shampoo whenever I feel there's build-up from whatever I use on my hair (usually once every 3 weeks). This shampoo makes my hair feel so light and airy while moisturizing so I don't have dry ends (my ends have been bleached and dyed over so many times, yet doesn't feel like straw). I definitely recommend this shampoo for anyone with fine, brittle hair and/or someone with a sensitive scalp.

I decided to try this after reading the great reviews here.

I have coloured hair that get's oily at the roots and really dry at the ends (especially as I sometimes bleach my hair too).
It's really moisturising; It makes my hair feel lovely and soft.

Would definitely recommned to those who colour or use irons a lot. I personally love the smell and don't think it's strong at all; it doesn't linger anyway.
It's can be pricey and hard to find in the UK. I got mine for about £5 on ebay.

EDIT: I wash my hair everyday because it get's oily easily but it's clear now I can't use this as a daily shampoo; it builds up and makes my hair limp and greasy. Probably not good if you have an oily scalp.

This is a decent shampoo. Personally, the smell is pretty obnoxious to me, but it goes away quickly so I'm finishing the bottle. Lathers really well, does not strip my hair, rinses cleanly. The smell is very off-putting to me.

This is a great shampoo. It smells really good to me, even though the smell doesn't last. It's not an over powering smell either. My hair is thick, wavy and coarse. I rec'd this in a swap and so glad I got it.

Criminy, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this already! This is amazing shampoo! I have short, color treated hair, and many 'poos leave it feeling crispy and overly dry, but this stuff doesn't!! I bought 3 litre bottles of it when a place was clearancing it out b/c Nexxu had the temerity to go "public" instead of salon exclusive, and I won't need to buy any for prolly a couple years, but this is wonderful stuff. Lathers nicely, smells like heaven, cleans without stripping... Cant' think of a bad thing to say about it! :D

I have colored treated hair and this shampoo leaves my hair clean and shiny. It smells heavenly and a little bit goes a long way. I am very impressed with this Nexxus line and will continue to try it's other products.

Yes! Finally I have found a shampoo that does exactly what I need for my medium-long, semi-thick, normal to dry hair with a tendency to frizz at the ends. This shampoo is dense- I don't need much for a great, moisturizing lather. And it smells fresh and slightly citrusy but not overpowering. My hair feels clean, refreshed and soft and looks better than it has in a long time. Added bonus that there are natural, organic ingredients. The price is not bad and the packaging is just right. My new favorite shampoo!

I love this shampoo! I have been using shampoo specifically made for curly hair, and since I love Nexxus products, I thought I would give this one a shot. I used about a nickel sized amount for my curly just past shoulder length hair. Immediately after applying it I knew this shampoo was different. It felt very slippery when shampooing my scalp - I never had this feeling before when shampooing. It lathered nice, and seemed to clean my hair well. It rinsed cleanly and quickly without making my hair feel squeeky clean - which I don't like. I used Nexxus Humectress and a leave-in (now relabelled Phyto Humectin) and my hair felt great. I have great curl formation and my hair is super shiny. Once my hair dries, my hair is soft and feels totally moisturized. I would highly recommend this shampoo to anyone looking for a good moisturizing shampoo.

I love the packaging and the smell of this shampoo. ITs a quality shampoo that cleans my scalp and does not weigh it down. I follow up with NEXXUS babassu Mud conditioner which i love as well.

A great moisturizing shampoo that is not too heavy! I love that Phyto Organics do not test or use animal products and include organic ingredients.

I've been using the Nexxus Phyto Organics line off and on since 1999 and I have ONLY been reaching for this line lately, so I thought it was time to write up a review. I'm pretty much a certified hair-product junkie. My BSL, loosely curled, chemically treated hair loves to give me problems... especially in summer. So, it's important to me to make haircare as pleasureable as possible. For me, this means using quality products with good ingredients and a clean, aromatic scent.

Phyto Organics Hydruss Shampoo meets my expectations. It's a thick, rich green colored shampoo with a pleasant, herbal scent. It's not overly moisturizing as some shampoos can be and therefore, doesn't leave my hair weighty. It does prep my hair beautifully for conditioner and I usually follow it up with either Nectaress Conditioner or Enphuse Conditioner.

The Phyto Organics line has the BEST packaging on the market! Hands down!
