I liked my other Olay products, so I thought why not give this a try since I just needed to add something to reach the free shipping @ drugstore.com. I dont remember the price, but it was like under $5 IIRC.

Been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I'm not even sure if it is really a cleanser?! I use this during shower to wash my face and remove makeup. I usually wear mineral MU, which shouldnt be hard to remove with just facial cleanser. Everytime after I used this cleanser, my face was still oily. Did not feel clean at all like with other cleanser. And whats worse, it broke me out =_= I barely get any acne, but with just 2 wks of use and now i got lil acne on my forehead and chin... argggggg >< I think i will just toss my bottle and definitely no repurchase for me.

I've been using this stuff since my teens. I have dry skin so while I need a sudsy cleanser to take off my makeup at night, I like something creamy in the morning. This stuff exfoliates slightly and leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking bright. It removes any oil/cream from overnight without drying me out. I'm in love with it and I hope it sticks around forever.

It's not the worst, but it's not the best. It didn't cause my skin to break-out, it didn't dry out my skin, but it didn't exfoliate my skin. The micro-beads should just be done away with, because this is lotion like, it doesn't get sudsy. That doesn't bother me, but the fact I can't wash my make-up off with this is frustrating. It doesn't stick? Hopefully that makes sense. If I use this with my Sephora brush, it just gets filmy and stuck inside the bristles. And this isn't effective when you use your hands. I guess what i'm trying to say, is, it's not bad. On a desperate occasion it wouldn't hurt me to use it. I just didn't gain any results from it. I'm beta hydroxy sensitive, and this didn't burn thankfully.

i wanted to really like this cleanser after reading the reviews. while i liked the beads and how moisturized my skin felt afterwards, i broke out after two days. i tried convincing myself that maybe it wasn't because of the cleanser, but after a week of not using it, my skin is clearing up again.what a shame.

I love this. It is very gentle, so don't expect your skin to feel stripped and dry after. It leaves my skin feeling baby smooth. While it won't work as easily for heavy-duty eyeliner, it is very efficient for the average makeup user. I definitely plan to repurchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, no-fuss facial cleanser.

This product is creamy, so you can imagine its cleaning power. The beads in the cleanser barely works for me. After I wash off the cleaser, I feel some residue on my face, which defeat the original purpose of getting it. I want something that can clean up my skin and pores, not something that stays on my face after washing off. To be fair, I say the quality is ok, but it's not good for me.

Cleansers are one of my biggest battles. My skin is clear, not acne prone, not terribly sensitive, and borders on dry. Soooo many cleansers leave me walking out of the shower with a tight face that is dry and cracked. Now, its nothing a little moisturizer can't fix, but can I not just have a clean supple face?
I've used some milk cleansers, and they leave my skin wonderfully plump but the minimal makeup I wear aint coming off. Enter olay age defying...
Its love. It really is. It removes my makeup, and(drum roll) it leaves my skin hydrated. I rememeber the first time( I got it in an olay gift set) I used it, I ran out off the bathroom skipping. Yes, I'm weird but when u have skin issues its a hallelujah moment when u find something that works.

I don't write many reviews here, but after reading the others on this product I had to share my experience with it. I have no idea what a lot of people here are talking about...I love this cleanser! I've been using it on and off for years and it's one of the ones I always fall back on. And for those of you that have read other reviews, the one thing I have to say is this; it removes makeup so well for me! What are you guys talking about? I have used it with liquid foundation and powder, as well as primer and MAC Studio Fix foundation. Both times it took off my makeup just fine! What in the heck kinda of makeup are some of you wearing??

For as long as I can remember I've always washed my face twice in the evenings. Once to remove my makeup and then once to actually cleanse my skin. I was told by both my dermatologist and a few facialists over the years that it's best to do that with any cleanser (even cleansing oils!). So two washes with this cleanser and all my makeup is off...ALL of it! I use a witch hazel based toner after sometimes, and anytime I do it comes off completely clean.

The other reason I wanted to write this review was because I think it is a very underestimated face wash. It's a cream cleanser so it's not super drying. It has BHA to help exfoliate out pores. It has very small and gentle microbeads that can be used daily to exfoliate the surface of the skin. And most importantly, it leaves your skin feeling clean and normal. Not irritated, dry, tight, oily, or dirty. After reading the other reviews I just kept thinking...what in the heck am I missing? How could anyone not love this??

I love this product, but I'm only giving it 3 lippies. Reason being, it does not function well as a cleanser; it's much better used as a mask. When I first tried it, I hated it because it didn't remove makeup, leave my skin clean, or do anything at all really. One look at the ingredients told me all I needed to know: this should not be used as a cleanser! The active ingredients all need a lot more time to do any good than the few seconds they're on the skin if this is used as a cleanser.

The way I use this now does wonders for my skin and actually makes me question all the other claims Olay makes. I apply it to freshly-cleansed skin in the shower, then I do everything else like condition my hair, shave, etc. The last thing I do before I get out of the shower is rinse it off my face. This way, the active ingredients have enough time to actually do something and my face is left soft, clean, moisturized, and glowing.

No matter how much I love this as a mask, I cannot give it any more than 3 lippies as a cleanser since it just does not cleanse and if you use it for that, you're wasting all the ingredients you paid your hard-earned money for.

I have no idea why, but ever since I started using this cleanser, my adult acne (I'm in my late 30s) has all but disappeared. I've used other beta hydroxy cleansers before (like neutrogena, aveeno) but still would get occasional breakouts. Maybe for me, this cleanser hits the right balance between moisturizing and cleansing for my combo-oily skin, so that my skin doesn't overproduce oil with a more drying cleanser. I like the amount of microbeads too (enough to scrub a little, but not to scratch my face off.) I don't wear a lot of foundation, and what I do have seems to come off fine with this cleanser. The texture is somewhat thick and it takes a little while to rinse off, but afterwards, my skin doesn't have that harsh, dried out feeling some other ones do. I'm pretty happy so far with this stuff.

I use this according to Oprah's dermatologist's recommended cleansing routine. He was on her 20 years younger show and said that a proper age-defying skin routine is first POLISH (yes, exfoliate first!), CLEANSE, then NOURISH. So my nightime routine is (1) gently massage Olay Age Defying Cleanser for about 30 seconds on DRY skin, (2) rinse then apply Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to wet skin, then remove with a soft baby washcloth and rinse, (3) about 30 minutes later I apply my treatment which is Retin-A and Vanicream moisturizer. Definitely give this routine a try. I can tell you that for a girl that has tried virtually everything and usually been disappointed, this a winner. It makes my skin feel and look smoother and helps fade stubborn spots. I took one lippie off because I could do without the fragrance. FYI, in the mornings I simply apply MD Forte III Glycolic Cleanser to dry skin, then wash off with a baby wash cloth. Limit the manual exfoliation to once a day! After using this routine, you would never know I had such a terrible stubborn case of acne and rough-looking skin.

I have dry skin, with an oily T zone and some wrinkles under my eyes. My skin was really dull and I decided to switch from Neutrogena to something else and picked this up in the grocery. This cleaners leaves my face clean, complexion bright and semi moisturized all at the same time! I really love it!!!!

This product does not remove make-up what so ever.

I wanted a decent cleanser to help clean my skin and get rid of the skin color bumps on my forehead. Other than that I have really nice clear skin (with a few pimples from that time of the month). This product brought to head the existing pimples I had AND made new ones...oh joy.

I have to agree with Adriana265 - this product SUCKS as a makeup remover. I used it twice and threw it in the garbage. It leaves a film on your skin and didn't even remove my easy to remove mascara, much less my Revlon Colorstay

As a zitty teenager, I used to use this product to combat blemishes. As an adult, my acne started flaring up again, so I returned to the store to try this timeless favorite. Unfortunately, the new version is not at all like I remembered it. The Olay that I used in my youth produced a lather when I rubbed it in my palm, but the kind in stores now is more like a lotion. Also, there are very few microbeads in it. I actually found that it made my acne worse. Sadly, I had to stop using it and am switching to St. Ives. I will boycott until Olay brings back the original formula.

Why this cleanser doesn't have a lower rating baffles me. I saw it in my local boots a few weeks ago as it was not too expensive (under £5) and claimed to remove makeup.

The makeup-removing powers of this SUCK. I always use an oil pre-cleanser first, then follow up with a regular cleanser. This does not leave your face leaving clean; rather, it leaves a layer of film on your face and doesn't actually remove anything. I think that's why some people are experiencing breakouts from this. It leaves cleansing residue on your skin (I guess they call this the 'moisturising' action) and doesn't get any oil/grime/makeup off of your face.

It's very creamy when squeezed out the bottle. I've never used a cleanser this creamy before...I don't like it. It's messy, and I need to use more than a dime size for it to lather up well enough (not very economical). The fragrance is very strong, not to mention, this contains SLS which totally dries out the skin. Luckily they've put it further down on the ingredients list, but still. No product with SLS should be geared towards dry-normal skin. It doesn't make sense.

I definately would not recommend this cleanser to anyone. Its claims are completely false.

I use Olay relgiously, and I had to try to this cleanser. The smell is TERRIFIC (I love heavy-scented ANYTHING) and I was so thrilled to find a cleanser that smelled like flowers.
I had a really hard time with the bottle, it just wouldn't 'pop' up. But that was the least of my worries after I did get the hang of it.
I put it on my face and began to scrub. I normally wash my face in two steps: first with the washcloth to get completely exfoliated, and then with my cleanser. I was so enveloped in the smell and the beads, I could just feel the clean happening! It was awesome.
When I got out of the shower and patted my face dry, my skin felt WONDERFULLY firm but not dry, super smooth even shiny, and totally clean.
It works great with any Olay moisturizer, and I would recommend this to anyone that really loves smelly-good things and doesn't have a problem with pimples. I have been blessed with soft, clear skin, and Olay is perfect for those lucky girls out there!

I like this cleanser very much. I wash my face in three steps, so I either use this as a final cleanse after removing tough makeup or as a makeup remover followed by a gentle cream cleanser. This doesnt dry my skin out (and thats very IMPORTANT for me), doesnt irritate my skin or eyes, and does the job I want it to gently. It wasn't that expensive, and I,ve been using it for a week. I am super pleased. Surprisingly, I also liked their new lifting eye serum. Im usually not the biggest fan of olay products, becasue of mediocre experience with their fluid lotions/night creams. But, both of this products are very nice.
