First of all I got four of these for only 2 USD total so i dont have much to complain about considering the price. This gives the right amount of shimmer for a night time outing. I wouldn't depend on it for an all nighter, maybe the movies or a short dinner since the staying power isnt that great.

-sky: great with greys and over dark blues
-dawn: great light pink shimmer
-sunrise: great goldish shimmer when going for a bronze look (looks great over normal browns for a pop
-highlight reflects: this is the best of the four i purchased as it works well alone or over any other color to give that shimmer effect

Love the eyeshadow, but not the packaging! The colors are beautiful and add just the right amount of shimmer. I really didn't care for the built in brush though. I was used to the On The Loose eyshadow by Loreal, and I prefer to use my own brush. I'd say this formula is just about the same and only the packaging seems to be different. I still liked it though- I just poured some out onto my counter and used my own brushes, so I'd still purchase it again for sure. I have the Beam color, which looks kind of ugly and dirt-like in the container, but it's a beautiful shimmery taupe. It's a great natural color and reminds me of Orb, my favorite color from On the Loose eyeshadows. I also have one other color although I forget the name (it is a pearlescent silvery color with a hint of purple), but for some reason it just doesn't show up as well on me. It's still really pretty, but I tend to not use this one often, so I probably wouldn't purchase the color again. Perhaps it would pop better against another skin tone.

Bought these in Sunrise (840), a golden color and Twilight (515), a lovely silvery light purple. Both are really very pretty and shimmery, imparting a nice color to my NC 15 skin. I like to use these on the brow bone and tear duct or even as an all over color. As many others have stated....I cannot stand the packaging. I can't get to the powder in the container very well, you waste a lot, and spillage seems to be a frequent issue for me. Okay, but I would prefer these in a hard powder.

i love the "sunrise" color: a light gold. The packaging makes is very hard to apply, it puts way to much on. I dip a better brush on the existing brush and then apply, it works a little better. I like only a tiny bit or else it is way too sparkly and it gets messy. It works well for me on days that i'm too lazy to blend a bunch of eyeshaddows; just one sweep over the entire lid. Some other reviewers used this just as a hilighter, it is way to sparkly for my skin, it would be hard to use little enough. Overall, not a bad product, but with quite a few flaws

I have this eyeshadow in yellow, green, and white. These are excellent when used as highlighting colors on the brow bone and tear duct Although the application is a bit flaky, the color payoff is still decent, and the staying power is good (although I don't use these colors in the crease, which is where the most wear occurs) I'm saying no to buying again, since these will probably last me until eternity; I've had them for 2 years, and there's barely a dent in the product :P

My first .99 store disappointment. (Hey, for a buck, I don't complain much if the product doesn't work out but these are really not worth the buck imho).
Sunrise (gold), Halo ("dark" pink), Limelight (pale green), Beam (brown) and Dawn (sheer pink). With the barely there pigmentation in all colors, these shadows look virtually the same on: a colorless, sparkly, shimmery film. The brush stinks. Design of the package is terrible, very difficult getting the product out.
Maybe paired over deeply pigmented e/s, these might make a useful night look.
Will not repurchase at any price.

I bought this in sunrise, which is a beutiful pale yellow-gold. This product is very very shimmery and sparkly. One reviewer likened it to fairy dust and I agree. I'm a PPP and it's really hard for me to find an eye highlighter that shows up on my skin and yet doesn't look like some sort of wierd mime white. This is a gorgeous highlight shade for me. It shows up and complements my pale warm tones beautifully. It's not an everyday look as it is far too sparkly, but when you want to make an impression, this stuff is beautiful!
EDIT: I'm doing eyeshadow wear and creasing experiments (feel free to check out my notepad for more details) and I just had to say this stuff so far is some of the best long wearing non-creasing stuff I've come across. I have never had a sparkly eyeshadow wear so long as these (even MAC pigments and BE). Pity they're discontinued and have bad color selection. Oh and yes the packaging bites, but I can work around that.

I got this product in the color Sky. The color is so beautiful and fairy like. It can be used as an all over subtle look, but I like to use it at the inner corner of my eyes and/or my lower lash line. This has such a beautiful shimmer and I like lots of shimmer when it comes to my eyes. The only thing to watch out for is fall-out. If it lands on your cheek and you wipe it away, you'll have a pretty shimmer spot in place of it. It has great staying powder, even in places you don't want it to.

Of course, we all know that the packaging and the brush is terrible.

i dont wantta repeat how sucks the package is, But the e/s itself is actually nice. i got the Sunrise(840), and i love it! i won't use it as the mean shadow of a look, just apply a bit at last, the shimmer is beautiful! it works with any color which matched with gold tone so it's practical.i will buy it again (only for the Sunrise) if i could finish this one(you know that is hard).

My favorite part about this product is the attached brush. I'm always at a loss as to what tool I should use to apply powder shadows, and this took the guesswork out of it! The color I purchased was Limelight- a gorgeous lime green with flecks of yellow and gold. It's a great color for a night out- I apply about 2 coats of the shadow over just about any color, and it really makes your eyes pop. Another plus- it's no-where near as messy as those other powder shadows you get in a small jar. I don't use it very often, but will probably re-purchase when I run out.

I got this for 99 cents at CVS in the Clearance shelf. It looked OK, I bought OTLs before and they were decent. Color: Aura Halo. Packaging is terrible, one of those eyeshadow "dipsticks" so to speak. Terrible brush. No pigment. More of a light pink frost with microglitter. Veeery Sheer. Would like to see this one wet though. With a decent brush, it might be nice. Wouldn't buy it at full price, but at under a dollar...It's a keeper.

I actually really like this color (Sunrise). Very similar to MAC's Fairylite pigment, but slightly warmer w/ a little more shimmer. The packaging is really dumb and awkward, definitely. But I'd repurchase (if they weren't DCing)

I bought this in Sunrise b/c I needed a yellow gold shadow. The color is pretty, but the texture is awful and emphasized my fine lines. I had to aply three layers just to get it to show up. I like the container as it would be difficult to spill, but the brush was way too stiff and a total waste. I wish L'Oreal would duplicate this color in their HIP pigment line--the texture(s) of that product are much better and similar to MAC pigments. Anyhoo, this is going back to Target.

I have a few of these colors, and I really like their texture and effect. I do wish they made darker colors, and I'm not crazy about the packaging. I like that it's plastic & light enough to take along, but it's awkward having to dump some out and use a different brush to apply it. The brush inside is pretty worthless. Although, if you trimmed it straight, it would make a great liquid eyeliner brush. I got these dirt cheap for only $1 each, so I can't complain about the price.

The packageing for these SUCK. I hate the hard as rocks little brush, its totally useless. I hate the container, it makes it nearly impossible to get another makeup brush in it so that you do not have to use the stupid brush and it's difficult to get the product to come out because of its shape. That being said, the on the loose shadow in beauty queen was one of my favorite eye shadows of all time and I was devistated when it was discontinued. Beauty Queen was reintroduced as twilight, and I am a happy girl now. I will continue to buy these despite the horrid packaging. I have found that you can make the color more vivid and intense if you spray a tiny bit of water or even the MAC studio fix + on the brush before you apply.

I bought this in twilight. It's very hard to get out of the container and isn't very intense. I wouldn't purchase this again because the container was very annoying and the brush was stiff and useless.

I have this in Sunrise. I like the container itself; it's very pratical. The rest of this product just sucks. The brush is hard, but it can bend easily (causing the hairs to go in different directions). The shadow is just mediocre. Hmm. In the trash this goes!

dissapointed with this product. i bought this in sky and it just looks white/silvery on my eyes instead of light blue, and it also comes off too easy. the worst part is the brush, its horribly stiff and with the one i bought the bristles were already bent in different directions before i'd even used it! maybe mine was defective i don't know but i don't think i've ever bought a product where it was messed up before i even opened it.

This eyeshadow is great. The packaging is so cute and convenient and the brush, surprisingly, works very well. I got this in a light pink, rosy shade and it adds just enough color and sparkle to my eyelid to make me look awake on tired mornings.

Here are the pros: great container, not very messy, and pretty colors
and the cons: VERY stiff, harsh brush, the color does NOT last and is very hard to get at in the bottle, and the quality vs. value is not at all what I expected. In my opinion, you can get better lasting eyeshadows from Cover Girl.
