I'm actually really impressed with this product!! I've been using it all over my face, neck, decolletage and back for breakout and congestion. My skin has really improved. I'm also using it in these areas as a bit of a preventative because my skin's been so bad lately. Doesn't dry out skin like some other acne creams. Really heals breakout that you've picked/squeezed and calms the angry red areas. My congestion has decreased too. I'd definitely recommend this :)

This is my ultimate HG product and I've been using it religiously for almost 15 years. Growing up in Australia my mother used EB products and started me on them when I was in my teens and this was the first product I had. This lasts for ages, so the price isn't really an issue for me. I've had my current tube for years. I use it for everything - pimples, ingrown hairs and also sometimes instead of a concealer over blemishes. It really does reduce redness and irritation very quickly. It's not easily available in the UK, however I get my mother to send it to me because I simply could not live without it!

An interesting treatment cream for troubled skin.... I'm ambivalent about Ella Bache in general (with exception of their Ampoule C serum which is seriously brilliant!) and have used the Intex 2 back in my teens during acne flare ups. No real effects that I can recall back then.I forgot all about the cream until recently when hormonal bumps and lumps made an appearance. Purchased another tube - and its worked surprisingly well. Bumps decrease in size and ferocity overnight... and unlike more aggressive acne treatments, it doesn't dry out the surrounding area.

Not a pleasant texture or scent. It does spread easily from the tube and a pea sized drop emulsified on the fingertips goes a long way when dabbing on the spots. There's a white cast which disappears after a while. I must add that the cream feels a little greasy to the touch - and the smell is not very pleasant. But since it works.... well, I can put up with it.

A tube will last a very long while since very little is needed each time.

Didn't notice much of a difference with this. I didn't find the smell as unbearable as others did but I found that it made no real difference to any pimples I had. It does last a long time though, mine is still in the original pot packaging. I have tried the new version in the tube, but I found that it became separated very quickly and oil leaked out everywhere when I opened the top.

This product has such strong extremely unplesant smell I can't even bring myself to put it on my face. Please be aware before you buy!!!! If the product fragrance is even a little bit important to you - STAY AWAY from this product.

I started using this after my mother recomended it to me, and it does just the trick for hormonal spots and redness! The cream really calms down pimples and red areas, i apply it when i go to bed and then just wash my face the next morning. It has a strong herbal smell which i dont mind but may put people off, so take note. Another note, it is expensive but it takes so to go through one, i think it's worth the purchase.

Have used this for a couple of years and it's great! I put a small amount on an area where there is a pimple & it dries it out in no time - I apply before bedtime. It is strong so you don't need alot.

Highly recommend!

I don't get much acne anymore but once in a while I still get acne on my chin and I use this product to heal it. I love this product because it is non-drying and does not contain any of the harsh ingredients in many other acne treatment creams. It diminishes the redness of acne and it is just as effective as drying cream/lotions but the upside is that cream intex is very gentle on the skin and plesant to apply so I highly recommend it for those with sensitive and dry skin types who get the occasional breakout. I don't mind the fishy scent as it's mild and it doesn't bother me at all.

I've had this a long time, and it is great with calming blemishes once they arrive. It does seem to make them go more quickly than if you just leave them to their own devices.
It says you can use it under make up but it is quite white and hard to blend into your skin so I just dab it on whenever I'm home and not in public.

i have acne-prone skin. got this as a sample size because of a facial i did. didn't use it at first but recently i had to clear my beauty cabinet and didn't bear to throw this away (although it was free) used it on a pimple near my lips (and pimples near my lips are always the ones that hurt the most) was sceptical at first, but after 2 nights, it was gone. gone. i can't believe it.
now i find myself not picking as much on my pimples anymore and just dab this on a pimple and wait for a few days and its gone. it doesn't dry the skin too. although i find that on some spots, it leaves a black spot.
the smell is good but i didn't like the packaging. to put this cream, all u need is a small dab but i find that everytime i squeeze the tube, alot comes out and i get angry. it's quite expensive but it goes a long way.
Overall, i'm certainly going to purchase this again.

I have whiteheads (blind pimples). Have a problem with it during the teenages days and cant solve. But after using the cream for 2 years.. It has somehow reduced my blind pimples and also couple with facials sessions. It just cleared my problem skin. Now I only go for maintainance facials. It is really good product. But it gives u a fishy smell due to the cod liver oil. Does not clog ur pores.Just that I felt it is pricey however, if u can afford try it. It last me one yr or more. Depends on the amt u use. I use it 2 times(morning & evening) even before make up good make up base!

There's a reason this product is legendary... it works. The trick is to use the TINIEST amount you can get away with, and dab it only on the blemish itself, because if it gets on the surrounding skin it could clog. Don't ask me how a product that would appear to be a nightmare for clogged skin (lanolin, cod liver oil, ispropyl myristate, beeswax) actually soothes and relieves pimples, but it does... the day after you put it on the offender is reduced in size and redness by at least 50%. One lippie off because if you get this on the skin surrounding a pimple, it will produce another pimple, thus necessitating more Intex 2 (clever marketing perhaps?). The tube will last you at least a year.

This a great product, works well as an overnight treatment on pimples and also helps to calm my redness. It's a 30ml tube but I've had it for about a year and it's still going. The smell is not the best- just like zinc but it works so well I can put up with it. Will buy again.

My absolute HG product!!!
Multi use... no beauty cabinet should be without it.

I was recommended this a few years ago as a treatment for ingrown hairs of all things! works like nothing else!!!
Also great on mens shaving rash, insect bites, and boils, completely calms any angry redness or irritation over night.
Also if my skin is feeling a little sluggish or I have breakouts or blind pimples a little of this paste on the area over night works wonders.

Smells foul (a litttle like zinc mixed with fish oil) but well worth putting up with, make sure you wash your pillow cases the next day as its a paste and some will rub off and leave them a bit stinky.

Feels greasy going on but I have oily skin and my skin loves it!

This is basically a zinc cream to aid in healing - effective for drying up blemishes and bringing them to a head and does reduce redness from a breakout. A good utilitarian product, and a little does go a long way (I have had my little tube for over a year and am still going).

Creme Intex #2 is the best product I've found for healing blind pimples. I get the occasional hormonal breakout and when I feel them coming up I dab a tiny bit of CI2 on them at night and the redness, soreness and size is greatly diminished by morning.
It has quite a greasy feel, so if I ever need to wear it during the day I make sure I rub it in really well, but mostly I just use it at night. Great stuff.

I have to repeat this to illustrate how well acquainted I am with E.B products. My mum's a therapist and she carries E.B amongst other brands, so I've literally been using E.B products for 14 years (I'm 26 now). Creme intex no.2 is one skin care staple I've had for 14 years. It's helped me survive my teenage breakouts beautifully.

This cream, like most E.B products is very utilitarian, meaning it may not be very user friendly, pretty or fragrant. Using it requires technique too. You CANNOT slap it on like any old pimple gel. This product works best when used in the same manner as a concealer, meaning you MUST layer little by little with gentle patting (a period [.] sized amount is enough for TWO pimples). The key is to not overload because you will be wasting it. Overloading it may also cause congestion because this is an extremely nourishing cream.

Please do not use this like a pimple gel. You may not see immediate results in the form of pimple shrinkage or dissapearence though many users report overnight shrinkage (I personally prefer putting a blob of MASQUE intex no.2 over a pimple for overnight rescue). However, what this cream will do is 1)HEAL 2)reduce/prevent/eliminate acne pockmarks and dark scarring 3)calm irritated acne skin.

I cannot emphasise more on its healing properties. If you break a pimple, quickly clean it and pat this on daily until it heals. You will find that it will not even go through the dark scabby phase. My two sisters have very bad pimple and acne but they barely have scars.

Also, a little goes a long way with this so the retail price is very reasonable.

For the record, I have combination skin with occasional breakouts. Currently, an almond sized amount of this cream is sufficient for close to a year.

Finally, try the technique I've mentioned and give this cream a chance. A healing H.G for me. Oh and trust me this cream is less fishy than it was in the 80s. It's just more Zinc-y these days.

It worked miracles for my painful pussy pimples. Applying this to the spot ensured that the pimple disappeared within 2-3 days and is a lot less painful.

This is terrible. Firstly, it smells like concentrated fish oil. Secondly, it seem to have some pink powder inside which did clogged my pores and gathered at my flaky bits, u can imagine how great that looked. bcos of its colour, u cant use it during the day. Lastly, it did not calm nor heal my pimples any faster than not putting anything on. When it comes to pimples, nothing beat Proactiv repairing lotion.
