This review is for the Cleanse & Clarify Scrub. I can pretty much sum up this review in two words.... CYSTIC ACNE!!!
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago, and the first few days, I liked the "clean" feeling I had after using it. However, with each day, I noticed more and more zits. I figured maybe it was a "purging" thing or something. WRONG! I have cystic acne everyday now, and I've finally realized it's the scrub.
I don't even want to put on makeup anymore because I think to myself, "What's the point?". I have huge zits thanks to this awful product and I don't even look like myself anymore. Now, I get to spend weeks trying to repair the damage this junk has done to my face!!!!!

I have really become a fan of Olay's products recently. I have acne prone, oily skin. I use a LavoClean wash at night, prescribed by my dermatologist, but it's too strong to use twice a day. Hence this scrub! In the past I've tried Clean & Clear's orange scrub, but this product has a nice smell, and feel. It makes my skin clean and somewhat glowy. The part is the oil control. When I don't wash my face in the mornings, it is greasy and slick by mid afternoon. This scrub really controls it. Will repurchase!

my skin tends to really like salicylic acid. so recently, when i started to break out i bought neutrogenas rapid clear SA pads and it was just FILLED with alcohol. it suprisingly didnt dry me out, but it didnt even help to clear anything either. this stuff is GREAT! i dont feel that its helping with much exfoliation, the microbeads are far and few between.but i have other products for that. washes my makeup all off, and i really feel my skin is benefiting from this. its a great cleanser (kinda wish it had no fragrance, but thats hard to find with olay)
EDIT: what was i thinking!? no no no no. olay has GREAT cleansers without fragrence. the one with aloe, and another for sensitive skin. dont opt for this.

My acne-prone, sensitive skin does not have a problem tolerating the salicylic acid in this cleanser, but the scrubbing particles were too harsh and felt like they were scratching my skin too much. Also, they were difficult to rinse off. I prefer St. Ives Apricot Face Wash Blemish & Blackhead Control for gentle exfoliation and acne control.

First of all, the only negative I have is the packaging. After weeks of squeezing, the sides of the tube cracked. Now, the positive: when I use this product, my acne almost disappears, and my pores look smaller because they are cleaner. I like to use a washcloth to apply it for a little extra scrub. No, not everyone needs that much exfoliation, but my skin seems to benefit from it. (Oily T-zone, large pores on nose, dry around mouth and lower cheeks)

This product left my skin dry and stripped. I didn't like it at all. Sorry not good for people with acne prone, oily/combination skin. Absolutely sucks!

I used this for a few months, but it dried my skin out pretty bad. The beads are also a little more jagged than what I prefer.
I switched to the Anti Aging/Anti-Blemish line of Olay(same amount of salicylic acid, btw), and am considerably happier with the results.
I gave all of my extra bottles of this to my husband, who has much oilier skin(not to mention he's 5 years younger and doesn't need to worry about fine lines). He seems to like it a lot. Be careful to wash it off completely, though. Sometimes he walks out of the shower and has little blue beads still stuck to his face.
Overall, I wouldn't buy again, but my husband will.

I received a sample of this scrub in the mail and I really like it. It made my skin feel very smooth and seemed to keep blemishes at bay. The scent is bearable and the beads are not scratchy to me. I have bought the full size tube and I use it every day. I would not recommend this for extremely sensitive or dry skin especially if you live in a dry or cold climate. I will definitely buy this again.

I know after reading these reviews you cannot wait to go and grab this product. I felt the very same way. My experience was quite different. Maybe my sensitive skin cannot handle such a strong amount of salicylic acid, but I broke out terribly for a week after. Never mind my skin peeling off for days. I have mild acne but I haven't had a brake out like this for years. Use with caution!

I decided to give it 2 weeks till after i first started using the product before i wrote my review.
I must say, this has given me the smoothest skin ive had in a long long time AND it got rid of the annoying flakies and blemishes i had on my cheeks that even foot scrub would not remove (i thought the more powerful the better, u know?) so yeah, great scent, great effect, smooooooooth skin, im really happy and will repurchase:)

I like this cleanser, my face looks much better after 3 days of use. The microbeads are soft and don't irritate my skin (which is oily and acne-prone, by the way), i wish there were more of them actually.
It smells nice and lathers well, and leaves my face squeaky clean, a little tight but nothing a moisturizer can't fix.

My sensitive (and oily) skin just could not tolerate the 2% salicylic acid. I even tried mixing a drop with a different cleanser and found it too harsh. Good for non-sensitive types.

My boyfriend took my sample and was using this product when I noticed that his face was looking a lot better. He normally has oily skin and is prone to blackheads. After a week of using this, his skin cleared up it looked smooth.

OMG LOVE THIS!!! I was at Sears when I realized I needed a new cleanser. I went ahead and bought this without even looking on makeupalley. (Yes I know, riskey) anyways I was very very surprised when my face began to clear up after two days!! I was shocked! I didn't expect this much from a cleanser. When I came on makeupalley and saw 100% next to olay Clarity facewash I was not the least bit surprised! Definate repurchase!

Received the mail sample a week or two ago and tried it this past week. My skin has been clearing up. I just bought the full-size today. I'll come back to let you know around that time of the month when my forehead breaks out horribly.

I just bought this yesterday and used it last night for the first time. It says "Daily Facials Intensives" on it. I only used a pea-sized amount since I have never used an exfoliator and was a bit scared, but let me tell ya, my skin is GLOWING today. It looks clean, feels fresh, has a very even tone, and is very flawless. I was even complimented on my skin at work! I can't compare it to other scrubs since I have nothing to compare it TO, but it felt very gentle, and the tiny beads in it didn't feel harsh or make my face irritated at all. I won't use it everyday, but rather twice a week, although it says it's ok for everyday use. The consistency was a thick creamy one, but easily distributed in my hands. I didn't really notice a strong scent...just a normal cleansing/soapy scent. I got it at Ulta for $4.99 (I had a $1 off coupon)! For that large of a tube, I was very pleased with even the original price of $5.99, since Olay products seem to be a bit high for drugstore items. I will update again when I've used it for about two weeks.

I got this in the mail as a sample, I just decided to give it a whirl (samples are usually passed on by me). I applied a generous amount & scrub-a-dubbed. It smells really nice & made my skin feel very smooth & soft. I'm not sure if I would purchase this (slave to high end), but I just might after a few more uses :)
