I RIS this color too. after swearing not to buy MAC again, this snaps me right back. such a sophisticated color. I am a giant sucker for all turquoise/teal colors. but most of the ones on market are too shimmery. the low sheen make this one so much more valuable. wearing with plumage. love love love!

I RIS this e/s & Ive been wondering how come I didnt already have it..I love it !!.
I have always tried and tried to wear the green-blue fusion type colors, but for some reason they have always looked like crap on me. I wouldnt call this teal , its definatly got some blue in it , but its WAYYYY more on the green side of the spectrum..close to alpine green , but not forest green...its def a new england sea green ( I am GREAT at describing colors)
So this color may work well for you if you dont like how traditional teals or aquas or turquioses look on you. Ive been pairing it up with a UDPP base , with MAC chartru paint , then pastorale pigment & shade fluidline..its a great color combo.
I love the satin finish ..but then again, I am not a fan of lustres or frosts in any way since they tend to sit in every line in your eyes and make them look wrinkely.
this is notihng like aquadisiac , waternymph or any of those type colors AT ALL.

I wasn't too wowed by this dirty turquoise color. I realize that it was MAC's attempt at being colorful, yet wearable and soft, but it just didn't do it for me! It applied pretty decently and had the slightest satin finish, but I never found myself reaching for it. I only turned to it to add a little kick to my green and blue looks. I'm sure if I had kept it around long enough I could've possibly fallen more in love with it, but I on the rare occasion I wear "colors," I usually want them bright and very shimmery. Swapped this one away!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! This has to be my absolute favorite eyeshadow that I own! I absolutely love the texture, the color goes on wonderfully, beautiful pigmentation and I think is universally flattering on anyone. (Although I have to admit this color is not for the faint of heart. It is bold but wearable. i have a pic in my profile with it on for reference).

Beautiful understated matte on the blue side of teal with subtle shimmer. My kind of e/s. Love it!

I bought this as I was a little afraid of the full-on teals. Didn't use it for a while, and then teamed it as a light dusting on the lids with a smidge of beauty mark in the outer corners and crease. Wow!

This is quite frankly my favorite eye shadow. I am a warm LLL, red hair, brown eyes. Prose & Fancy isn't shimmery at all. It just has a slight shine that makes it look silky, not flat/matte. It is not so shiny as to be metallic though. I wouldn't call this color teal, as teal is much more green imo. This is a mostly blue shade, with just a touch of green. It's dark enough to use wet as a liner, but also makes a great crease color. It's not too dark to use all over the lid. This is not a bright garish shade. It is somewhat muted. This shadow really enhances my features. The formula is superbly smooth and effortlessly blendable.

Prose and Fancy is one color i fell in love with in the pan. i purchased it without even trying it out because the color was just so pretty. I was gonna keep it even if it didnt work on me! =) I finally tried it out and its as pretty out of the pan! The color is kind of like a musty aqua blue with very thin shimmer but you can either work it lightly or make it as dark as you want for that intentse look. The satin formula is wonderful. i love! =)

One of my favorite colors! Not so great as a shadow for an NW20 though. It's a little too deep.

the fact of the matter is, i CANT buy prose and fancy again, as it was part of another LE collection MAC put out =T prose and fancy is a satin eyeshadow, and feels and applies like silk. the color is described by MAC as a dirty teal, if i remember correctly, and on me, it shows up kind of a vivid sea-green, but with definite blue undertones. i think it definitely falls in the "pastel" range of colors, which works for me, since i can then use it as an everyday shadow or play it up for something dramatic. this looks very pretty as a wash, or paired with parfait amour or cranberry. i would especially recommend this to girls with brown or grey eyes. *EDIT* i swapped this for shimmermoss -- it was just TOO pastel-y, and not bright enough for me.

This is a very unique color from MAC. To me, it looks like a dirty Aquadisiac with subtle shimmer. It's one of my favorite colors.

My eyes are blue/green in the truest sense. Prose and Fancy may be the most perfect shadow I have ever found. In some lights, my eyes look almost totally green. In other lights, my eyes look totally blue. In all lights, my eyes look totally gorgeous when I am wearing Prose and Fancy.

Wouldn't buy again because it is MAC's pro teal e/s (at least as close as I can tell). Gorgeous turquoise color, blends well, works well with most other greens and blues. It's a must have color unless you already have it in the pro teal e/s.

There aren't too many eyeshadows that I really LOVE, but this IS one! It is a beautiful light blue-green color that is satiny without being shimmery. Looks great on me (brown eyes, blonde hair, pale skin), especially when I wear clothes that are in the blue/ green family.

This is a very pretty turquoise color e/s, goes on smoothly and pigmented! Definitely a e/s to look at from the D'Bohemia collection! I'm a GGG and it shows up fine on me!

I think this is a really unique turquoise. It has an earthy tone to it that makes it look really great with neutrals, more wearable also. Looks good in the crease w/Brill on the lid for an all green eye, too.

Prose and Fancy is fantastic. MAC's site describes it best, "dirty teal with low level level pearl". This color is unique from MAC's other green shades, yet easily compliments them all, not to mention a plethora of other colors. Prose and Fancy is extremely versatile and can be worn as dramatically as you wish, making it perfect for both day and night. It's also satin formula, making it smooth and easy to blend. Because this is LE, I may pick up another pot for back up. ;)

Another star from D'bohemia. This is a gorgeous blue green color with very soft pearl (but looks matte in the pan). THe formula is soooooo smooth and pigmented and easy to apply. So easy to blend too! THis is similiar in color to steamy but without any shimmer. It is definately different enough to own both though. This is subtle enough to wear in the day time. So far i have worn it with Oceanique and it looked stunning but i think this would look gorgeous with loads of different colors, especially peaches, taupes and cream colors.

A very unique color. It provides a soft deep shadow for the crease but the greyed green color clearly comes through and brings out the green in my eyes. It looks wonderful with Oceanique on the lid. I also love the soft texture of this shadow. Don't be fooled by the way this color looks in the pot. I was sure this color would bring out my dark undereye shadows, but it's just perfect. Second lightest neutral or cool foundation in most lines, NW-20 closest MAC match.

I wasen't sure if I'd want to keep this since I have like a billion green shadows but this one is a little different. It's got the muted murkyness of Meadow but also brighter greeness of like Peridot. Sounds like a contradiction but honestly it's a blend of those types of shades. Weird I know, just the perfect amount of blue and green and no tellow tones which tend to make me look dead. Anyway, it looks great with Oceanique as a wash, this in the outer lid and Bagatelle in the crease. I put Shade (Tealo works too) Fluidline on as a liner and it made my brown eyes pop. NC20, LLL, brown hair/eyes.
