This is my HG eyepencil, I love how creamy this eyepencil is and that it doesnt move a bit during the day. Egyptian is a bronzy/khaki shade and really compliments my blue eyes. I like to wear it with a natural e/s like MAC brulee-ish or MAC Vanilla pigment, but sometimes I use it for a smokey eye and apply the pencil all over my eyelid.

Unfortunately we almost pay high end prices for Clinique where I live, but that has not stopped me from buying this eyepencil over and over again. Def. a keeper!

This eyeliner is absolutely gorgeous. I love the color! I can't really wear black, but this is a dark, dark gray-black-green-gold- color with just a tiny bit of shimmer. It looks so pretty on my brown eyes. It goes on really creamy and smooth. I wear it on top of cream eyeshadow and it does last at least 12 hours with very minor fading. I can't wear it on my lower lashes, though, because it smudges too much. This is a really nice liner. I wish it would stay just a little bit longer, but the color makes up for it.

My mom bought this on a whim, and as this often happens, she hated it and ended up giving it to me. I had been looking for a color like this for a while and hey this was free so I took it happily!!

And happy is I with this liner!

I am not usually a fan of traditional wood pencils because I find sharpening them a total hastle and wasteful, but this one is different. The color is soft enough to be easy to line with, but has enough structural integrity to not crumble when sharpened.

The color is a very complex gunmetal grey-green color with a slightly golden shimmer that is subtle enough to not look like too much, but also apparent enough to catch the eye of somebody if they looked closer :)

I like to wear this either a) smoked out around my eyes for a more sultry effect, very popular with the boys ;) or b) instead of using a black liner, I will put this in my lower waterline to add that definition without being as harsh as black could be.

When placed in my waterline it does fade, as all liners do. But instead of smudging in a nasty way around my lower lashline it almost 'sticks' to my bottom lashes and makes them appear thicker and more defined :)

I didn't pay for this, but when I do end up running out I will repurchase in more colors! And this one too of course :)

I went looking for the brown in the range with the rave reviews (chocolate lustre?) and tried that on along with this, and this suited me much better. It's a lovely dark greeny gold with tiny sparkles. I wear it every day and really quite like it. Makes a change from my usual brown for daytime.

This is a great alternative to your basic black eyeliner. It is softer, with hints of deep green and gold. I love it! It applies very smoothly, and has a cream-like consistency as the name suggests. It defines my eyes in a softer, natural way. I feel like the colour "Egyptian" has a unique way of enhancing my eyes. It brings out the slight hints of green in my eyes. I only have one complaint - the staying power COULD be better. Eyeliners rarely ever smudge or fade for me, but this is one of those exceptions. I find myself having to reapply "Egyptian" on my lower lash line, a couple times a day due to it fading.

Edit: Due to Clinique's new animal testing policy, I will no longer be purchasing Clinique products. I have lowered this product's rating to a 4.

The color is nice, the staying power is a little disappointing, the texture is creamy so it glides on very well, but the price is high. 15 dollars for this pencil is really pricey in my opinion. plus it smudges throughout the day based on my experiene.

This is a very dark brown with a hint of shimmer. While the product description said it was a "blackened green", I don't find the green in it at all. On the plus side, it goes on very smoothly and seems to last a while. Too dark for me, and didn't do anything for my green eyes.

One of my favorite eyeliners of all time. Because of the dark GREEN color, it is able to define but do it in an extremely natural and interesting way. The glitters in the pencil are not noticeable unless you get very close. The consistency of the pencil is very creamy but no so creamy that it is difficult to control. The staying power is great as I experience very little smudging at the end of my 16 hour day. Highly recommended!

considering that it is a pencil liner, it stays put for a long time. however, it still does smudge at the end of the day. thank god it still looks pretty even when its smudged because the color is just gorgeous.

This is like a lighter and greyer version of MAC's Pearlglide Eyeliner in Black Line. Both have hints of metallic green. It is soft, easy to apply, smudge (in a purposeful way, no panda eyes) and does last quite a while. It gives a softer look than Black Line (which I love), which works well for daily office looks. You can easily take it a notch up by intensifying the line and smudging it out more, and in an instant, u r ready for night out. It is pricey, but for the color and long wear, it is worth it.

Initially I checked on MUA for a highly rated eyeliner and to my great discovery and stumbled upon this. I've always been a pencil liner fan rather than the gels/liquids/etc. They just suited my asian eyes better because I hated the solid line laying above my lashes. I desired an easy smoldering look and with the subtle golden/green metallic shine on this dark liner, it won me over. Even on a lazy day this always keeps me looking faboosh with the sparkles it gives my eyes. I will never stop buying this. Please don't discontinue this product Clinique. Pretty please?

I'm mainly comparing this to urban decay's stash, not only because they're both dark green, but because I use them for a similar purpose: a softer, but still dramatic, alternative to black to use on my waterline.
This goes on very smoothly, lasts a long time, and is cheaper than stash. but the main reason why I like egyptian better is that it doesn't have the big sparkles that stash has, which like to stick around my eyes even after I've used eye makeup remover. so, I'm going to be sticking with egyptian as a re-purchase.
I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a liner a little less harsh than just basic black.
EDIT: I went back to Sephora, thinking it was about time to get a new pencil. Sadly, this shade appears to be discontinued. I loved this-so flattering. If anyone knows of any similar replacement colours, please send me a message!

Pros: Stays put, has nice shimmer and applies very smoothly.

Cons: On the pricier side, color options are limited. (I like a dark brown, and there isn't really one. Egpytian is more of a cool, earthy black to me. Chocolate is too light of a brown to show up on my medium skin well.)

I have used this eye pencil for about 3 years now and it is still my favourite. If you have Brown or Hazel eyes and like the smokey eye look then this is perfect. It is the most beautiful colour which is difficult to describe so you have to check it out for yourself.

I don't like to wear black eyeliner that much because it could look harsh/too dramatic, but when I do want some drama and sexiness, I love to use Egyptian! It looks pretty dark to me. Like people have said, it's a blackened green with some gold shimmer. The green is pretty subtle, but it's a great alternative to straight black. I love that cream shapers have shimmer. This one glides on and is very creamy- creamier I think than my starry plum or deep cobalt cream shapers, for whatever reason. I love creating a smoky eye with greens for my dark brown eyes, and this eyeliner is perfect for that! Lasting power is great (some disappearing liner at the end of the day but it's because I wear contacts and have allergies so I touch my eyes a lot). I would definitely recommend this eyeliner!

I love this eyeliner. I love the color, the way it applies, everything. The texture is creamy, so there is no tugging involved. The color is my favorite part though. The gold flecks look beautiful on my hazel eyes and it is the perfect balance between black and grey-ish. The only downside to this eyeliner, however is that by the end of the day it has smudged up into my crease . . . eww. BUT if you use a base eyeshadow or primer you should have no problem!!!

*Off to Clinique to purchase another pencil!!!

I bought this pencil after watching many many swatches on the Internet, as I was caught by the beautiful dark green colour. Instead, on my skin this one ends up being much more on the black side, with a tiny hint of greenish shimmer in it (if you look closely). It is still a nice colour, but not the one I expected, and most of all, when applied, it doesn't look very different from regular black eyeliner. Maybe it's because my skin is very fair, so it doesn't bring out the bright green in it, but again, when applied, the colour is nothing new.
However, it has a very good staying power and *almost* zero smudging, so it's still a nice product to keep in my makeup bag.

I used to love this and use it three or four times a weed but now , about 1/3 left, and it is a pain to apply this liner. It became stiff for some unknown reason. This started since about half way using up this. First, I thought it's just the surface layer dried out so I sharpened it several times but it's still the same. It lost the creaminess completely, and became so scratchy to use. I just tossed it this minutes ago. For this price and life only lasting several months, it's super expensive and disappointing.

I have been using this eyeliner for several years and it is just the best color! However, I feel like the formula has been changed because the pencil needs sharpening so often. When I sharpen the pencil, it is so creamy that it eats up a good majority of the pencil and I am constantly having to buy a new one. I think it is time that I try to find a similar color in a different brand for that reason!
