The white inside is too white and doesn't go on very smoothly, but the purple is a very nice color and isn't too overwhelming. Could lose the white and leave the purple.

I was looking for a really pretty purple and the store was sold out of Crystal Berry and Purple Pixie so I bought this instead. I am a lover of Clinique eyeshadows but was not that impressed with this shade. The color is a white frost and a medium lavendar with sparkle. It looks really pretty in the container. But the texture on the lavendar side is sorta rough and is very sheer. The white or frost is like super white shimmer and very pigamented. I am not a big fan of super white eye shadoe unless paired with a shadow as intense in not more. So for me this was all frost and no lily.

This is a very shimmery greenish white. At first glance, I thought it was just a white e/s, I thought it would be like B&BW discounted e/s in Lily. On the brush, it was a very pale green. It does show up as a very light green. It had kind of a frosted, iridescent white with a tinge of green. I got this for free from an iCompactor so I can't comment on the price. I used this as a brow highlighter and it was very pigmented. Next time I will apply it with a lighter hand. I don't know if I would repurchase this on my own but I think it is a very nice e/s to pair with other green shadows.

The Frosted Lily Color Surge eyeshadow duo consists of a white highlighting shimmer and a medium toned lilac shimmer color. Very pretty but very springy and light. You may want a crease color with this set, but its still pretty. This comes packaged individually in a silver compact and retails for $17.50 for the duo, and has also been released numerous times in various GWP compacts. It is also one of the duos in the Clinique Glittering Eyes Nordstrom Exclusive Holiday Set. The duo is well pigmented, silky, easy to blend. Great quality eyeshadow duo that I would purchase again!

Love the packaging, it looks very sleek and sophisticated. The shadow itself lasts a very long time, but sometimes creases. The colour, I look good in purple, but the white doesn't really match me. I use white shadow to cover up my eyeliner or mascara mistakes, and this one does a pretty good job. It's too bad the purple doesn't shimmer as much as the white does. Overall, great product, colour is okay. Will buy from this line of shadows again.

Well, like everyone else I got this as part of a GWP. I find the white very white, and prefer using Clinique Frost Blossom (a shimmery pink) with the purple shade instead of the white. I can use it lightly all over and it helps the purple look stronger imo. The purple part is the real winner imo, it is a medium-light slightly bright purple with shimmer. Just the right mix of warm and cool. It really brings out the green in my eyes. I do think it looks amazing with Frost Blossom rather than the white highlighter shade. The regular packaging is very nice on the newer Clinique shadows- acrylic bottom base with two pans and a double headed brush/sponge applicator, and the top is metallic looking with a really nice mirror inside.

I RIP a quad containing the frost lily duo & the highlight portion of it is really really white...a stark white that I can not pull off. The lily (purple) portion of the shadow is very pretty...a smidgen on the cool side, but alright.

Although it may look great on others, I will not repurchase.

i love purples & i love shimmer, so i had to try this one out. the purple is very pretty & quite flattering to my green eyes. the white is also very pretty and doesn't look at all chalky on my lids. i just have two complaints about this duo. the purple shade doesn't have very much pigment in my opinion, even when applied wet. however, i tend to go for more dramatic eye looks most of the time, so the lack of pigment may not bother anyone who goes for a more subtle look. its still a beautiful purple, just not as striking as it looks in the compact. also, i really wish clinique would make the shadows in the colour surge duos the same size. it always seems to be the prettier of the two shadows that ends up being really small. i guess the reasoning behind this is because you'd use more of the highlighter/wash shade, but i always feel a little cheated because the darker of the two shades is so tiny. i don't have any problems with creasing, but i agree with the first reviewer that they do fade a little bit. i like that its high shimmer with just a hint of sparkle and not at all glittery. both shades are very wearable and could easily compliment many skin tones. overall i'm happy with this duo and would repurchase.

I am fair-skinned, with blonde hair and blue eyes and these colors worked really well for me too. I love, love, love the purpley color of the duo, the white is maybe a bit too white for me, but the shimmer is fantastic and it works as a nice corner-of-the-eye highlighter. Just beautiful and wears well. I got this as a GWP, but will purchase it when I run out. HG material. **UPDATE: My love for this has waned. The white is definitely too white and the purple too pink to look flattering on me. I've found much better eyeshadows since this including Milani's Fiji Flower, Clinique's Blackberry Frost, Lancome's Spectra/Contrast.

I received this as a GWP in an e/s quad that includes this duo, sierra glaze, and Sparkling Sage, as well as a mini mascara. The lilac shade in the Frosted Lily duo is definitely my fave! A pigmented, shimmery light neutral lilac, this looks lovely on my golden-olive LLL-MMM skintone. It's not too cool or too warm or too light, which are problems I always have with lilac-ish eyeshadows. Frosted Lily is just right and is my go-to shade when I want to brighten up my eyes when I'm looking particularly tired. The shimmery white shade is VERY pigmented and is great as a highlighter and even on the inner corners of eyes. This can be blended in with the lilac shade as well. So far, I haven't had any creasing problems, but they do fade a bit. I love to pair this duo with MAC Trax e/s in the crease and blended with the lilac shade....so purdy! The combo makes my hazel eyes pop! Love, love, love!!
