This is a great hairspray for a lasting hold. I spray it around my roots, tease my straightened hair up into your typical "I never grew out of Myspace" hairstyle, and spray it all over again to hold it in place. I like that it doesn't make my hair weirdly crunchy and it doesn't smell like air-compressed lung cancer. My hair stays in place all day and only needs to be re-fluffed and sprayed again after a full day if I'm planning to go back out at night. It's kind of pricey, but all the other hairsprays I've tried have had some kind of major downfall that I can't overlook so until I find something that performs just as well for less money, this product is here to stay.

Sooo much better than Elnett, which smells like ass. This spray smells fresh and is not overpowering at all. Yea, it's expensive but very worth it. I also spray it on my hair before using a curling iron and it works brilliantly. The best part: this spray, if used in conjunction with the BSH powder, holds my fine thick hair like nothing else. I finally found the best combination for giving my hair body...it only took thirty or more years of searching and trying products. LOL.

Holy Batman. Can you say HOLY GRAIL?!!?! I've never been too hair savy - I've used hairsprays from Tresemme, to Pantene, to Garnier Frutis etc etc. They all work but they usually tend to make my hair SUPER crunchy and gross :( After I straighten my hair I like to hair spray the back of it to smooth everything out and keep my part from moving around, and all those hairsprays did was make my hair look rock hard and frizzy. :( The OPPOSITE of what I was looking for. I've always heard of Big Sexy Hair but I knew it was expensive and I just couldn't justify spending about 20$ on hairspray...especially since I'm not really good at using it lol. Well, this product has completely changed me! and my hair! Usually when I tease my hair no matter how much hair spray I use or how much I backcomb my hair it just doesn't hold...and falls flat :( Well thanks to this MIRACLE product my hair is now teased to the max and it doesn't feel crunchy or hard! It lasts not only all day, but DAYS! seriously! i teased my hair into this huge poof and didn't wash or brush my hair for like 3 days, and i seriously got away with it and it also looked just as amazing as the first day I styled it! I love the mist that it sprays, it evenly distributes the product yet it doesn't weigh down my hair, spray too much, and it doesn't get crunchy whatsoever! this stuff must be made by leprachauns because it's seriously magical.

Big Sexy Hair's Spray&Play hairspray is probably the brand's most famous product; I'd go as far as to call it a cult classic. I've never found a hairspray that really worked well for me, not that I've tried many. I've had my eye on Big Sexy Hair's hair spray for a while, but it always sells out when Ulta offers it on sale. Sexy Hair says their Spray&Play is a "flexible, working hairspray that gives incredible volume, lift, and shine. Its anti-humidity formula delivers medium hold and is great for everyday use. Its perfect for all hair types." I was extremely pleased to receive a travel sized 50ml bottle in an Ipsy bag. This mini bottle has a retail value of $6, the full size sells for $17.50 for 300ml (10.6 oz), which is kinda expensive. This hair spray has won multiple awards. Sexy Hair products are internationally available, in the US its most easily available in Ulta, beauty suppliers, and some salons. Sexy Hair does not test on animals. This hairspray was made in Mexico.
Sexy hair has great packaging. Everything the brand puts out looks gorgeous. I think everyone can agree on that. Big Sexy Hair's Spray&Play hairspray comes in a metallic red metal can topped by a black plastic cap. The Big Sexy Hair logo is written down the side of the bottle in black and silver Th e product name is found on the front of the can. The back of the bottle is loaded with lots of info and such small text that I can't even read it to give you the gist of what it says. Popping off the cap reveals a very nice spraying mechanism, it puts out an even application of product.
Big Sexy Hair's Spray&Play hairspray is definitely a new favorite! I don't use hairspray except on my work days. I just never do anything with my hair, I can't be bothered, but when I'm at work I wear my hair in a braid or bun. My hair has a mind of it's own, it doesn't like to cooperate, so it can be difficult to keep from coming undone. That's where Big Sexy Hair's hairspray comes into play. I spritz my hair before and after braiding/bunning and this hair spray keeps just about every hair in place, keeping it out of my face, and more importantly, out of the customers' food. While I can't speak for the lift and volume this hairspray promises, I can confirm the claims of medium hold and flexibility. My hair still feels like soft, natural, unstyled hair when I used Spray&Play. After taking my braid or bun out at the end of the day, my hair still moves and feels like it doesn't have any styling products in it. Big Sexy Hair Spray&Play's hold lasts all day and isn't effected by heat, humidity, grease, or sweat; yet it washes out easily. The hair spray doesn't seem to damage my hair or henna hair color. The only real downside I see in Spray&Play is that it smells chemically and unpleasant. Luckily it doesn't last.
I kinda love Big Sexy Hair's Spray&Play hair spray. I've actually blown through this little can pretty fast. I'm unsure if I'll buy another little can or splurge on a larger bottle, but I need this hairspray in my life. Its prefect for my work days, it keeps my hair in place without making it hard as a rock or heavy. I can't ask for more from a styling product. Honestly it seems silly to pay more than a few bucks for a can of hairspray, but I think the large bottle would last me quite some time. I don't know, its really something I need to consider. If you don't mind paying more for hairspray, I definitely recommend Big Sexy Hair's Spray&Play hairspray, it delivers the perfect combination of hold and softness. Good stuff.

This is my go-to strong hold hairspray. It's a stiff spray, but it holds all day. Goes on sale a lot at Ulta for BOGO's. Been using it for years, brushes out pretty well, really happy with it.

This is my staple hairspray, and prob the best hairspray Ive ever used. I have fine hair, and this stuff makes my hair stay all day long. Your hair will not be going anywhere using this stuff! And it smells great!

THE BEST HAIR SPRAY there ever was. I love voluminous hair and this product does nothing but that. The hold is perfect, it doesn't leave hair sticky or stiff. The price is well worth the product you can score this product at marshals for under $12 and at a beauty supply store for $20. Amazingly worth it. The red packaging stands out in my vanity. Will repurchase over and over again.

I have tried other products that haven't worked as well or were stickier. This doesn't really crunch your hair as much and it doesn't have that strong chemically smell like a lot of hairsprays. It smells good and I get compliments when I use it. It has helps my hair have more texture and bounce. Also, it works on me and my sister in-law who has very fine hair. She has trouble finding good volumizing products also.

very low quality products from this company all around, I used this hair spray for months, and it always made my hair feel gumed up. I have used many different hair sprays, but this one was the worse, and I could not believe it because I spend almost 20 dollars on it. it also made my hair very dry brittle and left white flakes. A lot of hair professionals i have talked have told me the same things, and said there are a lot better products out there for the same price.I would never buy this again. I threw it away and got better stuff

I purchased a 50ml bottle of this product for $6.95(cdn). I wanted to try the Sexy Hair products for a while and thought this was the perfect size to try out. I used it after styling my hair yesterday and it was alright. I did find it to be a little sticky and maybe a little crunchy. I normally have always purchased a Redkin hair spray mist because I curl my hair often and really liked that because it didn't weigh down my curls. I feel that Spray and Play would definitely weigh down my curls. I don't know if I would buy again but I do like that it is a small size and I can carry it in my purse in case I need it.

I tend to buy this at ulta when its on sale! U can find it for 9.99! Otherwise about 20$. Anyways, I think its definitely worth the moola. It really does hold beautifully! U can spray more if u need more hold. Otherwise, a few spritzs will do!!! I usually spray, then comb it with a wide tooth comb for a lil volume!

I didn't like this hairspray at first until i figured out the best way to make it work for me.
I have long, fine (asian) hair, so my main hair wish is VOLUME!

I separate my hair and spray a little bit at the roots and then use my fingertips and rub at the roots - INSTANT volume that lasts for ages (i slept and woke up with the same hair which NEVER happens to me).

When i first used it though, my main complaint was that it seemed to be super stiff and leave that sort of cheap hairspray crunchiness in your hair, but like others say, you're supposed to style it into your hair.

Hard to get a hold of in england, and is way more expensive over here.
Amazing hairspray, doesnt really volumize so much but lasts for ages and if you tease your hair it will keep that in place for a long time too.
Light and not sticky, dries quickly and lasts ages. Smells nice too.
Overall; bit pricey but definately worth it.

Totally agree with polleepocket's review on this one. It does not volumize and does not hold. After styling my hair, I used this hair spray and in less than twenty minutes, it had lost its hold on my hair! WTF?!!! Plus, it contains silicones to leave my hair flat and greasy, Which is what this should be called: PriceyGreasyFlat hair- Spray and Pay.

So today I used a curling iron, for the first time on my own, at my friends house. I didn't bring my Aqua Net hairspray so she let me use her "Big Sexy Hair" hairspray that she raves about. Not expecting much I tried it and was INSTANTLY shocked! I didn't know hairspray could be light and not sticky and actually hold!
Literally 3 hours later my hair is still bouncy and curly and touchable! I mean I can feel that there's hairspray but it's so nice! :D
I'm so excited! I think the price is really up there but ASAP I'll be buying my own can. Awesome prodcut.

I have thin stubborn Korean hair that doesn't like to curl, trust me I've tried irons and sprays and bla bla bla over and over, I swear this is a miracle product. :D

i LOVE this! oh my gosh, it is like my HG product! no matter what style i do, i use this stuff. It doesn't make my hair crunchy or stiff, even when I straighten, I use a little bit, just to keep it straight. Also, I'm kinda in love with the smell! It really works, and for my budget, it's not over my price range. love love love it<3

My sister gave this to me because she said that it didn;t work for her thin, very straight hair so I thought maybe it would work for my very curly hair. But it didn't really:( At the beginning I thought it was working fine until I noticed that not only was my hair getting hard and crunchy but that it was leaving some kind of white flaky stuff in my curls! I picked this up because I needed a travel size hairspray for a trip. I have volume issues so often need a pick-me-up. This stuff is *great* for that. I spray on roots or just flip my head upside down & spray all over. Stand up to find huge hair. lol. I think I need to get a full-size can of this so I don't keep taking my travel size out of my purse
