This is a terrific lavender scent, fresh and herbal but also smooth. It has that signature Goutal aromatic freshness to it that I so love (I've noticed it in most of her men's fragrances). With drydown, the scent becomes warmer and smoother. It's one of the best straight-lavender scents I've found, and I don't think I have to search any longer. This is marketed as a men's scent, but I think it's perfectly suitable for women. Notes: lavender, vanilla, spices.

Maybe i should'nt review this because i'm not really a lavender friend although i enjoy it in more complex creations. This is a bit of a french fairy-tale lavender field with ecually mauve butterflies and bees. It's a soapy green lavender with vanilla.Maybe if it had something more...

Lovely - a warm, soothing lavender, with the edges smoothed out, this is both fresh and comforting, a bit like settling down for a nap beside a wild lavender bush on a summer day somewhere in the wilds of southern France. On the other hand, there may be a bit of cuddling included as well - there's this innocently sexy drydown, after all..... and this sexiness makes this fragrance so surprising and enjoyable!

This is one of those hot day frags that needs a hot day (well on me) to do it justice. It's very hot today and so Lavande is splendid; very woody, dry but syrupy, dense, and potent. There's something of Jicky in it too, with its slight hint of vanilla in its bottom notes. But it's more of a soliflore, a much more direct scent. Oh was I lucky to get an almost full bottle of Lavande in a swap! In cooler weather it amounts to almost nothing on me but really shines when it's hot.

This is a beautiful scent. I usually don't like single note fragrances, but this is an exception. Try mixing this with Eau d'Hadrien, you'll LOVE IT!!! Especially in the hot weather. This is always on hand in my fragrance collection.

Okay, coming out of long reclusiveness because I need to put in a good word for this ignored little jewel. I've had and loved it for years-- and yes, I bought another bottle. A beautifully crafted lavender with edges that have been smoothed with the tiniest hint of vanilla. Clarifying, calming, soothing, close to the skin, sensual. Smells great on my lover too- a non-gendered scent. A complex, sophisticated, intelligent version of a lovely traditional scent. Okay, yes, I said sophisticated; but it also makes one yearn for a roll in the hay.

Rare, wild lavender from Grasse, enhanced by a touch of Tonka bean and vanilla. A classic fragrance that reconciles virility and sophistication, refinement and freshness.
This is okay. It is definitely lavender, like freshly cut lavender in my mother's kitchen - and goes on strong at first. After a few minutes I sniffed my arm and it had dried warm and yummy - sort of almost woody and "nosey" - and on the very teensiest side of masculine. After 20 minutes this had all but disappeared leaving the tiniest trace of something warm/foresty on the skin. I can see how one would fall for this, especially a nice clean cut man - for me it would be perfect for a picnic but not much else and I would definitely bring along the bottle for a refresher.
