One word "HORRIBLE"...and the Conditioner is no better, did NOT leave my hair soft and supple, instead both Poo & Condish turned my hair into a Tangled, Frizzy MESS..and to top things off it made my Hair FALL OUT!..Definitely will not purchase this again..I'm starting to believe this Sulfate Free crap is all Hype..My hair was stronger and felt better when I used Shampoo & Conditioners with so called "harsh" Sulfates.

Worst. Shampoo. Ever.

I bought this in one more effort to find a satisfactory, more "natural" shampoo I could use. Well, that sure didn't work. This shampoo does not clean my hair. At this point, I've been using it for three days (I have to wash my hair everyday), and my hair looks and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in three days. It's oily, feels heavy, and just looks gross.

The only reason this shampoo gets 2 and not 1 lippie is because it smells good. That's it.

I will never buy this again.

Price is nice but this was horrible for my hair-dried it out & I had tangling & breakage. Returned it for Aubrey S&C which is more expensive yet completely worth it.

This is a really wonderful shampoo. It leaves my hair silky, shiny, and healthy-looking after every use! I paid $6 for the 500 ml bottle. It really does nourish your hair and has a nice light smell to it. However, I think the packaging is quite misleading because it leaves users thinking that they are using a completely "natural" product with no harmful ingredients- but this is far from the truth. This shampoo contains fragrance, Cocamine DEA, and Cocamidopropyl Betaine like many other shampoos. The good news is that I think the company is doing more to make the product a lot more natural by removing harmful ingredients. For example, the product used to have parabens, Diazolidinyl Urea, and ERGOCALCIFEROL (VITAMIN D) according to the Cosmetic Database website but now as I am reading the packaging, those hazardous ingredients are no longer stated...so I am assuming that they are no longer used in the making of this product. Another good thing is that this product is produced without animal testing and no animal byproducts. So while this is a good alternative to most shampoos sold at the drugstore, there are still safer and more natural options out there!

i like this gentle shampoo with natural ingredients.
i have been using creamy type of shampoos from generic brands like dove, pantene, asience etc and they all smell and feel chemical. these shampoos are generally rich and don't leave hair feeling squeaky clean.
this is a clear shampoo that contains essential hair caring nutrients. the ingredients are simple and natural. i prefer it as it leaves hair and scalp feeling clean and fresh and gives volume and softness.

OMG! This shampoo made my dry, damaged hair from bad to worst! It's exp in singapore...$12.90 each, Shampoo & cond..My colored hair is so dry & hard after rinsing, I've got to quicly apply e conditioner which is very mild, not moisurising enough. Its suitable for really normal hair, not thick, wavy & dry like mine!

I bought this for my childrens' hair, as they need a really gentle product, esp. my daughter. She has baby fine hair that snags and tangles easily. I wash their hair at night in the tub. I had bought some L'Oreal kids' shampoo on sale--by the end of that bottle her hair was driving me nuts. Even if I applied Nexxus conditioner afterwards, her hair would be staticky and a mess in the morning. I bought the Jojoba shampoo and conditioner and her hair improved dramatically. It is silky and shiny, doesn't tangle, and smells wonderful. It also works well on my son's hair. He doesn't have bedhead in the morning anymore. Think I might steal the bottle in the morning and try it on myself! I also like the fact that it has less crap in it than the mainstream brands. Loving this.

Wonderful stuff. Cleans hair thoroughly without stripping it of all moisture. No strong fragrance either, which is a bonus.

I have tried all of their shampoos and I finally, give up. This isn't horrible and is probably the best of the bunch, but that's not saying much. It's okay - their other shampoos really irritate me in some way or another, and this one isn't bad. It didn't buildup or dry out, but I had some static and at the same time, my hair seemed somewhat limp (and with the amount of hair I have, that's tough to achieve). It's very gel-like and it lathered okay, but it was the suds sort of disappeared before I was done working it in, it was strange. I react to most shampoos and am using the Whole Foods 365, which I don't love, because it's a little dry, but I still like it better than this. If I didn't have the 365, I'd probably be using this - but my search continues.

This stuff smells sooooo good! Too bad I didn't feel like it did anything to clean or soften my hair. I was left with a frizzy mess.

This shampoo is great! It doesn't weigh down my hair but also cleans it sufficiently without drying it out. It pairs perfectly with the Jojoba conditioner for my thick hair w/ oily roots and dry ends. The smell is OK, nothing too great. The results, though, are fantastic, and the price is fab! I highly recommend.

I have been buying haircare from salons and drugstores, spending sometimes up to $35 on shampoo. I have highlighted hair and the ends are dry. With previous shampoos my hair had to be washed ever day as on the 2nd day it looks greasy.
I really like this shampoo (although don't like the SLS) It cleaned my hair and my hair looked great. And I can wash my hair every 2 days and it looks good. I bought it at a natural grocery store.

I bought the Jojoba shampoo and conditioner based on the reviews here. I'm really glad I did. This is a really nice shampoo for a great price. I bought it at Vitamin Shoppe for $5.95. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it. It's been colored and highlighted a lot and was in major need for moisture and healing. The only thing I don't like about this is that it contains SLS as it's main cleansing ingredient. I wish they would use something a little more gentle. It does clean very well, though, and I'm able to comb the shampoo through my hair. It's very nice. Right now I'm using it in conjunction with the jojoba conditioner and my hair is very healthy feeling and shiny. Don't know which product is working well or if it's both, but I'm very happy with them at this point. The smell is fantastic. I love that they don't contain silicones which tend to build up on my hair. EDIT: After a while this became a little too drying for my hair. Could be the jojoba conditioner isn't quite moisturizing enough. Either way, I use both the poo and CO in conjuction with more moisturizing products and they work just fine. The poo is nice to alternate with cone-containing shampoos to resist build-up.

i'm alot like the previous review, i never used to have scalp problems until maybe the last 3-4 years---my scalp was constantly itchy, flaky, and sooo unbearable...i tried every salon, drugstore dandruff shampoo out there, all they did was dry out my already damaged hair and tea tree oil shampoos like crazy but my scalp never got better---then i tried this shampoo and it's amazing, not only does my hair feel SOOO silky but my scalp is so improved...it feels so clean and free from blockage yet my hair doesn't feel stripped

will def continue to invest in jojoba rich products

Words cannot explain the wonders this has done for both my scalp and hair. I am one who had always suffered from scalp problems that would always lead to flaking, itching, peeling and even bleeding! I read somewhere that jojoba oil is very good for people with scalp conditions and so enter Nature's Gate. I originally went looking for JASON jojoba shampoo but could not find it at my Whole Foods store so I got this one and my hair and scalp thank me so much. Ever since I started using this, my flakiness and itchiness has been zilch and people are always telling me how shiny and silky my hair looks. I also love the fact that this is cruelty free, doesn't test on animals and doesn't contain any harsh sulfates or other detergents/chemicals. If you are one who suffers from flakes or scalp problems, please try this, you won't be disappointed

Well, this one had me fooled. I must be one of the 10 people on the planet whose hair hates jojoba- it just takes my thick normal undamaged hair and makes it coarser and drier then the Sahara... This shampoo seemed to work beautifully for about two weeks, but after that I began noticing that I had tiny flakes coming off my scalp. My hair also seemed to feel very dry at the roots only, and my scalp began to break out! The worst part came when I would part my hair differently or move my hair in the opposite direction from where it was combed to and my hair would hurt. Hurt! This shampoo made my hair hurt! If I could underline this I would! My hair hurt- not my scalp! My hair! I wonder if the jojoba oil was doing to my scalp what it did to my face- drawing out impurities, causing small breakouts as it purged them.. Anyway the breakouts got worse the more I used this.

I know it was this shampoo alone that caused this, because I alternated with a few different shampoos for a week and had no problems, but then as soon as I tried this one again and my hair HURT. I followed directions and rinsed and repeated, but maybe my freakish hair needs lots of SLS. I'd rather use detergent on my hair to make it soft then use herbal stuff on my hair and make it hurt!

I had dry, dull long hair from chemical abuse. This shampoo is the best of everything I have tried, leaves my hair feeling shiny, strong and managable. It is also cheaper than most I have tried.

I am considering purchasing Nature's Gate facial cleansers.

I started using it right after i got my haircut. and i had to go a month later because it was getting tooo long. My stylist was like woow! what happened to your hair. you were just here and now its grown a lot!at the time i was not trying to grow out my hair so i cut it off. But now that i am planning on growing it out i am so using this. Smells great too, smell might be a little appauling if smelling fromt he bottle, but it smells great on hair, smells like a good smelling baby would smell... if that makes any sense
