My hairdresser used this, and while I loved my hair as I stood at the cash register, I wasn't in a mood to buy product. The next morning, I tried to do my own hair...and stopped at the salon over lunch to buy a pot of "whatever you used on me yesterday."
I bought it from the salon. At salon retail. Because I could not go another day without it. Rusk being undressed is THAT good.

My hair is cut in long layers right now, and I use this product to create texture and movement in my style. I really like the performance and smell of "Being Undressed", but have to admit it is quite sticky when first applied, which is not so awesome.Even with this minor fault, I will most definitely continue to purchase as I have not found another pomade type product which gives me texture without stiffness or a wax like look.

I got a pack of two of this product for $3 at Marshall's & I've been looking for a balm/pomade/etc for my hair after I straightened, so I said, why not give it a try. It was super cheap, although when I see the regular price, its kinda pricey for such little product.
I've only tried this on my straightened hair.. granted my hair was braided today, but I took the braid out & my hair was soft & shiny. Call me a loser, but it also felt like something else I didn't know what it was.. so I asked my dad to feel my hair & he said silky! I'm shocked and amazed, 'cause without mousse, my hair is never silky (curly or straight). When my hair is straightened, its pretty soft & doesn't look the unhealthiest, but it could use more moisture & it breaks off a lot :( So yeah, ahhmazing stuff, haha.
I guess 'cause its a balm/etc its thicker, so its slightly hard to work through my hair.. I'm excited to try this when my hair is curly (I have biracial (3b), thick, frizzy, curly hair) 'cause its damp, so maybe it'll be easier to work in & it'll work as well with curls! :D
[edit]
Tried it with my curls today. It controls frizz & leaves my hair soft, but doesn't do anything else. D: And as I suspected, it works through my hair better with damp hair. Because its not for curls & more for like.. that peice-y look or whatever, I won't take off a lippie. Also, I'm leaving the price at two, but its obvious the little tube will last a while.

I went to Ulta to actually buy Redken's water wax but decided to browse the shelves and came upon Rusk Being Undressed Gloss. The price was slightly less expensive than Redken's so I decided to give it a try. I have to say I am very pleasantly pleased with this product. It leaves my hair glossy, shiny and lots of texture w/o stickiness and it holds well. I actually went out to lunch with a friend and he drove with the top down on his car and all I had to do was finger style my hair back into place and it looked fabulous! This stuff ROCKS!!!
Update: A year later this product is still my favorite! I tried other less expensive pomades but I always come back to my little pink jar of Rusk Being Undressed! I hope they never discontinue this little gem!

I got a small sample jar as part of a gift bag w/ other Rusk products. This is my least favorite product of all those in the bag. It really does nothing for my hair. It is sticky, greasy, and hard to apply and I've tried it on my hair straight and wavy, dry and straight. Also, it somehow keeps getting all over the place...the packaging isn't working for me. I don't know how full size product comes, but the trial size is in a little jar.

The thing I like most about this product is the smell! That's it! It promises to add texture and shine to your hair. It does add some texture and shine, but the effect doesn't last long. The worst part is that it flakes a lot. I applied and rubbed it between the palms, so I didn't apply lots of product on hair - but after an hour or so I could see small chunks of it in my hair, ( imagine blue-green gel-like chunks with extra fine glitter in it!). I tried this product a number of times, still the same. I'm happy I didn't buy a full size container. If they could change the formula but keep the fragrance, I'd be happy to try it then!

I LOVE this product. I first learned of it when a stylist in Canada put it in my hair - loved it so much I tracked it down online when I got back home to the U.S. I ordered 5 tubs of the stuff for myself and to share with my BF and sister. "Being Undressed" makes your hair feel as sensual as the name suggests: silky, sexy, supple and the smell is a-mazing. I have thin, unprocessed hair and this eliminates the fly-aways, gives my hair the perfect amt of texture, and the smell is delicious!! Just be careful to add it a little bit at a time. What works for me is to dab my fingertips into the pommade, rub it evenly onto my palms, and then apply it from root to ends. I like to add it after drying and styling my hair, but it works if you rub it into your hair while it is damp - it's just harder to gauge the amount that way. Oh, and be sure you seal the tub with the plastic cover before screwing the top on so that it doesn't dry out. The smell alone would make this product fantastic, but it does deliver the kind of healthy shine and manageability promised on the tub. This is my HG. Now if I could just find a good volumizer...

This stuff just works wonders. I have dry, over processed and porous dyed hair, and when I use it (on wet or dry hair) it doesn't build up, get greasy or limp, it just gives it body, definition, and more style. I also love that it is so versatile. Well worth the cost.

I looove how this stuff smells, first of all. I also love how it looks when it is first applied. But, at least for me, the look does not last long. Maybe ten minutes or so. This might be because I touch my hair with my hands alot or because of the texture of my hair (I have dry, thick hair.) But if you don't have these problems I would definetly recommend it!

I know i've attacked the Rusk line but I have to say I love this product. Its not heavy at all, and you really have to warm it up in your palms first. A little goes along way. I am a stylist, and I dont use many RUSK products on peoples hair, but this one I never go without. I even carry a small sample size jar with me at all times, for a quick touch up!
Will purchase again and again and again.

Another vote for this product! The texture is interesting, a weird combination of creamy balm with almost a hint of foam. A little bit of this warmed up in my hands and spread through my short, layered hair gives great definition without spikiness or crunchyness. You can add more the next day without weighing your hair down...and it doesn't make my scalp flake, either. The smell is subtle. Love this product!

This is a balm-type gloss in a pink plastic jar. The package says it's to shine, texturize and condition. I use it on my thick, dry, processed, layered lengths to give it a bit of texture and shine. Makes my hair look softer and healthier. Smells like a tropical bouquet -- luscious!
