I don't know why I'm just now getting around to reviewing this lovely blush. I know it's been discontinued, but this can still be purchased quite cheaply from a few online retailers.
In the pan it looks very dark and somewhat clownish and you may think it would resemble horrible bruises or something. Once applied, however, you get a gorgeous, slightly plummy, healthy glow on your cheeks. If I had judged this solely on the color in the pan I never would have chosen this particular color. I decided to try it a couple of years ago based on previous MUA reviews comparing it to Nars Sin. It's very highly pigmented so you need to use a light hand when applying it, but the shade is beautiful.

LOve this color, I have the old packaging, I wanted it so bad that i swapped for it, and I do not regrett it at all! Really pretty plummy color makes me look rosey and soft. I like it for the winter.

Goes on sheer which is nice cause it's rather dark in the pan. Highly pigmented. Deep plummy/brown-ish shade that really reminds me of a staple of mine from years ago, a clinique blush called "Plum".
Cute pot it comes in not overly packaged -- no frills. Not a ton of product, but for the price, it's really a mute point! Definitely not my favorite blush (color mostly) but certainly a decent blush for the price.

This is another winner from Milani. I've heard it compared to NARS Sin which I've only swatched in stores and did not care for. This is a gorgeous plum brown berry with slight gold shimmers that hardly show up on the cheek. Very sophisticated. Not too dark, but very pigmented. LOVE.

I'm really in love with this! It's one of my favorite blushes and I use it more than any of the others.
At first glance I thought it would be way too dark, but it blends nicely and it isn't extremely pigmented.
I am neutral/cool, NC15, and this really works as a contour or blush for me. It defines my face nicely, and compliments my skin tone perfectly. LOVE! If you can find it, get it!

I grabbed 2 of these when I heard they were being discontinued. Temptation is a dusty purple with gold shimmer in the pan, not a color I would be drawn to normally. However, despite my reservations, I bought them because of the raves. On my face, even with a very light hand, Temptation makes me look sick or bruised. Applied lightly, it looks like dark shadows on my face, making me look gaunt and tired. Applied more heavily, I look like I had an accident with someone's fists. Neither are looks I care for.

I currently own 2 Temptations because I am frightened I'll run out and not have a backup!! This is a great plummy blush with fine shimmer (not OTT at all) that flatters my pale skin/blue eyes/brunette hair. This is one of those blushes that give me a healthy glow that isn't too pink, and is a great face-finisher, even when I'm not wearing any eye makeup. Just a dusting of Temptation and some lipgloss and I'm good to go. (I'm not so pale that it looks purply or too dark). This is very nearly identical to NARS Sin, as another reviewer stated below....in fact, holding the 2 of them together the shades in-pan are an almost perfect match. I find Sin slightly more pigmented and the glitter a little more pronounced when applied though. So...to each her own. If you can track down Temptation I'd say get it, I'll definitely buy another if I run out!

I'm not a face product fan as of yet and am still shy to use a lot of color on my cheeks. Temptation looks very muddy, almost a mauvy brown in the pot but applies in such a warm rosey color with microfine gold glitter that provides a nice healthy glow. Such a surprise! I bought this blindly without even reading reviews here... I'm very pale so this is more of a winter color for me that I'll use just to give myself a healthy glow instead of looking washed out.

My justification typically to buy any Milani blush blindly is 1) they're discontinued sadly 2) super cheap $3-$4 3) Great way for a blush noob to try new colors and see what suits her without spending a lot of money. I'm never disappointed with these blushes, even with my starving artist budget lol, never disappointed.

Don't let the color of temptation in the pot decieve you, it's quite a beautiful shade that would suit a lot of people once on the skin.

I agree the packaging for these isn't the best but neither is a lot of products from this line. However ignoring the packaging, the product itself exceeds beyond the quality of what you're paying for... It's best to open these with a flat object to lift it to prevent nail chipping/blush chipping) or you can depot it into a blush palette instead =)

Temptation was one alternative i was looking for in replacement of dallas. that kind of plummish rose colour which i liked during days of no-pink blushes. i managed to find this DCed product on bestbeauty online. and i loved the cheap price of it. im still not sure about the staying power but i like this blush! :) only complain would be the casing.. hmmms.. not very easy to open. yes i'd buy if i run out of it and of better alternatives. :)

A clever plummy dupe of NARS Sin (get it? "Temptation" ;). This is not a head cheerleader style peachy pink afterglow or rosy flush, it's more subtle and sophisticated. I prefer cheerleader cheeks, but this is a good work blush to show the corner office people, who don't trust Punky Brewster to deliver their pivot charts. I hate work.

Not jazzed about the staying power, and like all Milani products the packaging is a bigtime nail-chipper. I'm inventing a new abbreviation. DBM = Designed By Men.

Save yourself $21 while you can, sadly discontinued.

Milani blushes have been my first venture since outside of mineral makeup but only because you lovely MUAers kept raving about this shade & Luminous! Also, if it weren't for the fact that they were discontinuing their blushes, I would not have had such an urgency to try this...so I did and am thankful!
For someone who prefers mineral makeup, I reach for this pretty often! I have a medium golden olive skin tone (my guess is an NC35-40 if I wore MAC) and it gives it a nice, warm plummy brown color. However, since I only bought one of these when they were discounted to $1.99, I can't grow too dependent on it! I'm not too worried however, because after wearing it a while, I realized it was very similar to some of my mineral blush faves and have made an almost identical duplicate of it with with Everyday Minerals' Plum Dust, Deep Wine, & Once & Again with a smidge of Natural for sparkle.
Now if they were to reissue this blush, I probably would buy again, as the pressed form is much easier for travel. I also like the staying power & the fact that it is well pigmented like my mineral blushes.

I got Milani Temptation in a swap from a generous MUAer. I don't know if this is one I would have bought on my own. It is a bit browner than my HG blush (Portfino Plum, a Sinesta/Cosmetique brand) but can be applied sheerly enough to be very flattering on my NW20 skin. I read about it before using so I knew to use a bigger brush and tap the surface. The shimmer is very subtle--I am an older woman with oily skin, so anything too glimmery looks really bad. This is just enough to lift it out of being totally matte into a healthy glow.

The texture was very smooth and made it easy to lay a sheer layer without my skin "grabbing" more color than I wanted.

The compact is smaller than my usual one and will be great for travel.

Of course, it's d/c...but since it seems like I only need a few grains per application, it should last a long time.

It is a pretty plummy color, that I barely reach for, because it's very hard to pair it with other makeup, IMO. I use it when I only wear eyeliner, mascara, and a nude lipgloss. I like it but I don't love it, wouldn't swap mine, but wouldn't buy another.

This blush in the pan really dont appeal to me at first until recently Milani decided to discontinue this item.So i decide i should get it before it gone forever. Now i regret for not getting it sooner. The color in the pan looks dirty and blah..but upon application on my cheeks, it is just so natural looking that i dont look wearing blush too much...no shimmer and no glitter...i realise this is the best blush for daily wear..and the blush is super cheap too..thanks

woah! i was so surprised at this blush! i've seen it in the drugstore many times and grimaced at the color. but i had an opportunity to pick it up in a swap, and since they were being d/c'd, i just wanted to try it out. i'm so glad i did! it doesn't look muddy, like in the pan. it's gorgous. it brightens my face. i'm nc20-ish for reference.

anyway... great pigment, great staying power, blah blah blah. i actually need to put a cream product under it for strong all-day staying power, but i didn't take points off for that. because noooothing lasts on me all day, not even nars. these blushes are definately comparable to high-end.

When I found out that Milani was d/c these, I snapped up a few colors in addition to my favorite (Mango Tango). This isn't a bad color necessarily, but it just doesn't work for me. It's too cool and plummy. But like all Milani blushes I've tried, it has tons of pigment and goes on smoothly. If you're cool-toned, snap this one up while you can!

This was almost exactly the color that I was envisioning in my mind and on the hunt for, and thanks to all of you guys my search has come to an end!! I'm definitely buying out all the ones in nearby drugstores. I can't believe they are discontinuing this, they don't know what they're doing!!! Applied even with my ring finger it looked fresh and natural, not pinky, peach or orangey (euck) but deliciously plummy rich and luxe while remaining subtle. Beautiful. Thanks again, especially to twilightsky!

Shame on Milani for discontinuing their fabulous line of blushes! Temptation is almost a dead-on dupe for NARS Sin, but for a fraction of the price, obviously. There are minute differences as discussed below so I won’t bore you. Basically Milani makes some of the most awesome dtugstore blushes, or should I said “made.” Temptation is the perfect natural, glowy, lightly-tanned cheek color for a very wary C40 such as myself. Plum shades in general just agree with my yellowness! This blush is medium pigmented, very smooth, and applies evenly. I think the staying power might be not as impressive as NARS, but it sure beats some other high end brand blushes I’ve tried. The minimal shimmer is a nice touch and doesn’t accent any large pores on the face. I’m severely disappointed in Milani for discontinuing their line of blushes, but I guess the secret of Milani blushes just never reached the mainstream. Tsk tsk!

Oh my, this is half off everywhere, along with Milani's other blushes. I hope they're just repackaging this! This color looks like a dusty plum in the package, and that is what I thought this would actually look like on the skin. It applies more like a medium mauve, when applied with a light hand. It gives a nice healthy flush, like the other reviews said, without being too pink. This kind of reminds me of a blush version of MAC's Lip Laquer Pop Mode. The only thing I hate is the crappy packaging, I almost break a nail trying to open the flip top. I will buy this again, pending it's not DC'd.
