This product is great however I don't think it is worth its price. It's a gel like texture that feels lovely on the skin and full of fragrance.

This is discontinued now (at least in Canada). You need to have really oily skin to use it. I thought I was oily, but this dried out my skin way too much and was irritating.

My skin is very oil. This product controlled my skin all day long. But in my country this is a very expensive product.

This one didn't work for me at all. I really didn't get much in terms of moisture and it turned flaky on me! Returned.

Of all the moisturizers I've tried for oily skin (Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Murad, as well as drug store brands), this has worked the best.
PROS: Very light, lots of "mattifiers" (silica), and not greasy at all. Among all other "oil-free," "mattifying" and "for very oily skin" moisturizers, this holds the oil back the longest.
CONS: Not an effective moisturizer in the least. Eyelids, etc, might suffer from dryness eventually. So don't use it for that purpose. Moisturize well at night. Acne/skin tone etc: no improvement. It really is just for looking less oily when you head out.
I get oily soon after using it, yes, but Pure Focus is no miracle. It just works best among the others.

I have extremely oily skin, and this moisturizer helped mattify it for more hours than any other moisturizers i have used. The product itself comes in a really small container though, and it's really expensive. (I bought mine for around $24.00) I use this moisturizer in the morning. At night I use Clinique's moisturizing gel because the formula is a little thicker, so it can help the dry spots on my face. Yes, I would buy this product again, but I wouldn't recommend it for normal to dry skin.

This is probably the best oil-free moisturizer that I have used. Simply didn't leave my skin shiny but to the point where sometimes I feel it left my skin without enough hydration. Smells nice. I didn't like that it has dye in it to make the lotion green. Quickly used up.

Pshh. What a joke. First ingrediant is a silicone. I should've known better. It does nothing for oil control. Smells nice, and leaves your skin matte and drab. No glow at all, it actually accentuates my imperfections. And there is no way that the "salycylic acid" in this product will help prevent breakouts, because it is low on the ingrediant list. Not moisturizing enough for my dehydrated oily skin. Oil was back in about 30 minutes. This may be a nice lihgt hydrator for some people, but it broke m eout in little red bumps, and I am still trying to get rid of them and it's been over a month. Not horribly expensive $38.

I love this product. It moisturizes, yet keeps my face matte. I love the texture. The scent is not overpowering. Helps reduce the shine. I will definitely repurchase again.

I am in love with this stuff! Moisturises just enough, isn't greasy or oily. Doesn't irritate my skin in any way. My only misgiving is it's lack of SPF, if they added that without changing the way it feels/performs it would be HG material for me!

Absorbs fast, mattifies well, provides good moisture. All-around it's a great product. The fragrance is refreshing, and I can use it twice a day with no product buildup.

I have a really oily t-zone, so I save this for that area and use a cheaper and more general moisturizer for the rest of my face. I'm pretty stingy with this because it costs a lot for such a tiny amount.
Anyway, it works wonders! It really mattifies, and my face remains matte after a few hours (which doesn't sound very long, but this constitutes a miracle), even if I walk around on a hot day. I put on a very thin layer and wear it alone. My skin is normally sensitive, but I've had no problem with any burning, itchiness, dryness, or anything. It seems to moisturize; before, my nose was peeling a bit, and that stopped after a week of using this. I just wish this had some SPF to it.

Today is my first day of using this (thank God I only got a trial size!) and already, 2 hours later, I'm EXTREMELY itchy! Feels like my face is on fire. It could be the new mineral powder I'm using so tomorrow I'm going to eliminate the moisterizer and if it's still itchy I'll know its not that.
UPDATE: It was the mineral powder that I was allergic too! Just applied the moisterizer on its own and it was fine. Will have to give it a few weeks and then consider buying it if all is well. I don't mind that it "disappears" like other reviews have said, because it's supposed to sink in anyways?

I'm on my 4th bottle I believe. best mattifying lotion I've tried. I generally love lancome products, but this is the one product I have not changed my faith from. It absorbs fast and leaves my skin nice and soft. however it does not last all day, maybe 5 hours max. will buy again.

I've tried a lot of products out there for oily skin and this one is probably the best, especially considering it's not as expensive as others they sell at places like Sephora (ex: Medi-Matte, which is over 40 bux, is absolutely terrible and thick and made my skin oily within 1 hr). This lotion on the contrary is light, it is quickly absorbed and I can immediately notice that my skin is matte. Does it last all day? No, but realistically, no product does. However, if you use the line (the face cleanser, the toner, and this), over time you'll notice that your skin DOES become less oily/produce less oil. This product was recommended by a friend of mine whom I thought had perfect skin until she claimed she had very oily skin, and I would have never known by looking at her face because it's never oily. One thing to note about this line is, the mask isn't so great (I wouldn't buy it again). But the cleanser, the toner, and especially this lotion is great. I am not a big Lancome fan (I think Estee Lauder has better stuff overall), but this is an exceptional line that should definitely be tried out for yourself.

I have very oily skin and after seaching though the internet decided to try Lancome Pure Focus for oily skin, worked well for the 1st week, after that my face was more oily than it was before.
After the first 30 mins of apply this moisturiser, it felt dry at first and just didn't feel like it was moisturising my face, however after 30 mins my skin starts feeling oily and as put this moisturiser on at 8am in the morning by 10am I definitely feel my face is oily again.

I like this lotion, it leaves my skin look matte. It does not last all days, but which matifying lotion does? It is really easy to apply to skin and my skin feels really nice and soft.

so i bought this moisturiser as i thought it would be really good for my oily skin as ive just come off a prescribed medication to keep my oil at bay! lol!
so anyways had it 2 weeks so far and here are my thoughts:
good points:
* Packaging looks lovely on my dressing table
* Lovely smell to it
* Doesnt dry my skin out as ive heard it has done to many people
* It makes my skin feel nice and smooth to touch
Bad points:
* Doesnt last long AT ALL! my oil is appearing after afew hours after application! i put it on around 8am and by 11.30ish my skin looks like i have just splashed grease all over it again! (nothing that my powder wont fix though)
* Its pricey
* ive only had it 2 weeks and alot of the product has gone really quickly, my dermalogica moisturiser lasted me 10months!
OVER ALL
I just dont think its got me yet, i dont know whether its because my skins been so perfect for a year and now come off medication im not used to applying my makeup again after afew hours and having oily skin again really? im not sure.
i am going to try a different moisturiser after ive used this, test afew more out!
but if anyone has combo skin, with just a litle excess oil, OMG dermalogica active moist is amazing!! id 100% recommend that for that skin type! xx
