This might sound a lil weird but i only like wearing this in the winter time(: I have pale skin and i already look like a porcealin doll but this just made me look like a really pretty porcealin doll. These colors arent the best for blue eyes.. i dont think they did much for my eyes popping wise but they do apply well and they are cute colors. The packaging is a little funky though.. and its hard to get open

Ugh, I don't understand why people are still telling blue-eyed girls to wear blue eyeshadow. Never match your eye color! As someone with bright blue eyes these colors look terrible on me. Even if you don't have blue eyes though I can't imagine these looking good on anyone. The blues are okay but the brown is just yucky. Got this as a gift and would not buy for myself.

So pretty in the pan but there's so little color payoff. Even with my UDPP this underwhelmed me. The Kleancolor shadows I find at the 98 cent store are better than this.

At my local dollar tree they have a ton of Almay trios (all this color). picked one up. & is okay. It's very shimmery. The pigments ok. The lasting power is ok... Nothing exceptional to me. Just average. But worth a try if you love the colors.

i bought one of these trios at my local postie+ store in a rush. obviously i dont have blue eyes (im asian, so yeah..) but i picked up the trio for blue eyes because the colors are pretty neutral/smokey and im never one to wear crazy colors. the item was 14bucks with a free eye liner so its really not bad here in NZ. the shadows are pigmented and soft and easily blendable. i put the charcoal color on the lid and blend the brown in the crease with the silver shade on the inner corners and it works so well! i never thought this combo would work this well! the shadows last all day long (then again its winter here so really not humid or hot or anything). i would repurchase but its unlikely i will run out since i really dont wear make up that much (yet i have a vast collection, oh da shame lol). i agree that this trio is a bit too dramatic for day time (unless you are into dramaticness at all times), but then again i dont mind because i dont usually wear eyeshadow in the day time anyway and bought this trio with party/night time in mind.

I'm on the fence with this trio. On one hand, the quality of the shadows is just fine. They're pigmented, have very little fallout, and they blend easily. What I have some beef with is the actual colors that Almay selected to look good with blue eyes. Yes, browns and blues look good with blue eyes. If you ask me, though, this palette is too intense for eyeryday wear, especially when all three shadows are worn at once. It's really more of a nighttime/formal look. I like to wear shades that bring out my natural eye color, and this palette does do that. I wish they'd made the colors a little more soft and wearable, but that's just me. If you're looking at these colors and saying to yourself, "Gee, those look a little dark for me," then skip. They are.

My husband bought this for me years ago, because he has always loved my blue eyes and these were on a very prominent display at the store. Mine came with a bronzey-brown eyeliner but no instructions whatsoever. Maybe that is why I liked it so much. I wore this everyday to work for the longest time, but since the packaging didn't tell me any crazy suggestions about putting blue under my eyebrow, I put the light blue on the inner third of my lid, the brown on the outer two-thirds, and the navy in the crease. Then I just blended it all with my finger and used the brown liner. Looked good, and I got compliments on it quite a bit. The colors are fairly pigmented and have a very flattering satin finish. Even after I discovered makeup and started collecting shades like crazy, I would still use the bronze in this palette with MAC All That Glitters and Dazzlelight. They're just good shadows. I wouldn't repurchase, because by now I have fifty or more eye shadows and have become way more creative with my application. But if you are fairly new to makeup, or like a quick and easy everyday look, this is a great option.

I've discovered a few tricks with eyeshadow to make you look like Kate Hudson does in the commercials for this trio. First, you can't use a base on the highlight portion or the blue shimmer looks "disco"...Secondly, you can't use the spongy applicator (if there's even still people who use those...), you HAVE to use a brush. Third, after applying all three colors, it is imperative that you use a largish blending brush to harmonize all the colors. Then slap on some of the bronze eyeliner (liquid or pencil, whichever) and the bronzish mascara and BAM! Instant glowing blue peepers. EVERY TIME I WEAR THIS, someone says, "WOW, I never noticed how intense your eyes are!" It's all smoke and mirrors. It's meant to ENHANCE the color, not be spackled on (hence the no primer - it stays well enough without it) and showcased as blue and brown striped eyeshadow. When used correctly on blue eyes, this products is magic.

I bought this hoping I would be able to wear all three together, to create an intense blue eyes look. But I honestly did not like the three colors together at all. The light blue as a highlight looks way too over done and shimmery! I looked like I was going to a club, not good for everyday. The dark blue on the crease definitely did not go with the brown. It all looked too dark and did not bring out my blues. If anything the brown made them looked duller. Seperately, I could use the brown color in my crease with a light shadow, or the blue all over the lid if I'm feeling adventurous. I didn't like the light blue so I probably won't be using this one.Wouldn't buy again.

I thought these eyeshadows were ok but I dont think the color selection is for me.The shadows go on nice and smoothly and contain a good amount of pigment. This trio for blues really brought out my blue eyes but at the same time the dark brown and blue looked horrible on my fair skin.I usually stay away from dark shadows because they seem to make me look washed out,but I would reconmend this to someone with a little darker complection who can pull off the colors.

I actually have hazel eyes but have been selling off all my MAC makeup as I have been finding alot of drugstore/pharmacy brands work just as well on me and are not as obvious that I am wearing makeup. The coffee brown shade in this quad is an exact dupe of MAC SATIN TAUPE. I would say get this if you love satin taupe and the deepest blue is actually a very wearable shade of grey/teal blue (what MACs BLUE EDGE should have been). Nice quality shadows just a shame about the packaging - I have the green trio also and both of these the shadow pans aren't very well glued in and are loose when you first open - cant complain decent amount of product for the price. Also the green trio is a good dupe for MAC HUMID.

I really dislike this trio. I find that if anything, it does the opposite of what it's supposed to. It does not intensify blue eyes at all! It does not go on well at all, it will require a lot of packing on.

The brown goes on really well but the two blues require some packing with a 217. I use the brown more than anything else and don't find the colours to really make my eyes pop that much.

I decided to try this stuff out since Ulta was having a sale on Almay cosmetics. I have a grey-blue-green eye color, hazel if it's bright outside (haha). So I can usually wear any colors meant for blue, green, or, on ocassion, hazel eyes. I wanted to bring out the blue in my eyes, which is probably a medium to clear blue. I was happily surprised with this product. The colors are well pigmented and they go on smooth and blend fairly well. I don't use the applicator enclosed; I use my own tools. I don't use the lightest blue unless I want a sheer cover over my lids for quick trips out of the house. I love the brown shade, which I use for the lid and crease. I put the navy in the crease as well, but not too much, just lightly. I find that this color combo is age appropriate and easy to use. I may just buy again ;)
My only peeve is that the colors don't go well all together. They look to disco and cheap.

Pretty good eyeshadow, good for blue eyes. It's just "eh" though, nothing too special about it! The eyeshadows are smooth though, and go on well. But I won't be buying it again, only because I don't really wear eyeshadows anymore/prefer more natural looking eyeshadow now.

So I got this because I have blue eyes and that girl on the commercial did too and her eyes were like BAM! So I used it and its eh just okay. The dark blue and the light blue kind of washed the color out of my face. The brownish bronze looks pretty blended with other colors and its okay by itself. The color is semi vibrant. But it didn't bring out my eye color hardly. I won't buy this again.

Almay has re-vamped this product to be more complimentary now that the blue eyeshadow is gone! I love the new colors, I ended up throwing out my old blue one b/c it looked 80's. But these newer colors are peachy, silvery-beige highlighter and a nice dark-neutral brown for the crease/liner - this combo really made my eyes stand out. I love how the colors all work together, something I couldn't achieve with other color combo's I've tried on my own.
You can achieve a day or evening look with these colors depending on how much you apply & blend. This made my eyes pop and look more defined, & therefore more blue. I love the darker brown as an eyeliner - just use a wet straight brush to define upper & lower lash line.
This is nice quality shadow for a drug store price.

I was hoping that this product would make my eyes stand out like crazy. The blues both made me look like I was stuck in the 80's, but the brown is nice...it's the only color I still use. The blues just sit there because blue eyeshadow on my shade of blue eyes just doesn't work.

I got this product for like $3, and I am soooo happy I didn't pay full price for it! It is terrible! I felt like a clown after putting it on. I have fair skin and dark blue eyes and I looked awful on me. I don't think the colors work very well together, and that light blue color doesn't work as a highlighter. I only tried it once, and I'm too scared to play around with it to see if I can make it work, it's not even worth it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

I was interested to see how people felt about this product because I really like it, but the colors are intimidating at first. It seems like if you are truly truly fair skinned, this is to much color for you. But I have a average skin tone, not tan at all, not pasty either, and I actually have luck using this every day. I never use all three together - I think that is the key. The texture of these shadows is very smooth and silky and it has good pigmentation. I love the brown, it is a great everyday color to add some depth to your eyes, and I use all over the lid into the crease. I use the light blue in the corners of my lids to make things pop and add a little right above my lashes too. I make sure to blend this into the brown so it isn't too "disco". The navy is used in place of the brown when I feel it goes better with my overall look, but I never use all three together. I also used this for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid in a navy dress. I used the light blue all over the lids and black eyeliner... it was kind of risky but pastels are in for evening and everyone looooved my eyes, I got tons of compliments. I think the bottom line on this product is that it is a good product for a good price, great for everyday, but NOT for novices... you need to have some self-direction and know what you are doing when you use these colors, and not use them "as directed" with the light blue all the way up by your brows, or all three at once, because then you will get that scary disco look.
