This product is rather a harsh scrub - i found it made my skin sore. It also leaves a nasty greasy film on your skin after you rinse it off.

I have used this on and off for about a year now. It does make my face very soft, very clean but never dry and gives me a fresh radiant look. One thing I dislike about it is it feels greasy when I am rinsing it off. Actually, slimy is a better term. Also, sometimes the granules starting sloughing off within a few moments of scrubbing (it should last longer because when it does that you are supposed to add water and rinse) - making me wonder why I am using it at all. On the upside it never made me break out or irritate my skin.

To me there are better products out there for less money so I probably won't repurchase.

This is an awkward product to use, and I have the feeling that it would not be entirely beneficial to those with sensitive skin. I like rubbing the granules into my skin, however they then crust off your face onto your clothes or carpet, so you should keep yourself positioned over your sink while you are scrubbing. The crystals are the perfect size, and maybe just a tad too rough. I find my face slighty irritated after each use. I was generally satisfied with this product, however for the $$, I'll be trying other products instead of repurchasing this next time.

I absolutely LOVE this product. Philosophy's The Greatest Love, is the BEST exfoliator I have ever used. I love how you can feel it exfoliating your skin, and then once you rinse it off, your face is left smooth, and well hydrated. I use this scrub 2 times per week.

I could have sworn I reviewed this yrs ago....Anyway, this product exfoliates well; I don't find it to be harsh, and it leaves my skin SO soft!! Unlike anything I've ever tried. My skin is very dry but break out prone and this is a staple for me :)

I want to get rid of my acne scarring so I've gone through a tube of this, using it twice a week. It hasn't made a massive difference w/ scarring however it has improved texture.
Very good exfoliation, but I cleanse my face after use since it does leave an oily sheen (it contains jojoba, I suspect) on my skin and I'm scared of breaking out. I'd recommend it. Nice stuff.

I LOVE this product! I need really good exfoliation and this really does the job. It's not harsh at all, and leaves your skin very smooth and soft, but it has tons of granules that really polish the skin well.

28 yr. old, Combo skin with cystic acne prone.
Used this product for over a year and I use it once a week.

This product does not make me breakout, but I have to wash my face again with my Philosophy On a Clear Day Wash after I use it. I usually use this in the shower, which can be a little complicated because your face and hands must be COMPLETELY dry to use this or it melts and doesn't work. After I use this my skin is so soft and it keeps me from breaking out because it exfoliates really well and the jojoba oil helps clear up my acne. This product also really gives my skin some good moisture winter and summer.

I have sensitive skin, but a clogged T-zone, so I thought I would give the scrub a try. I like the scent, but that's about it. It leaves a film and made me break out horribly on my jawline. I recommend Bliss pore-perfecting facial polish - gentle, clean-rinsing, and yummy smelling.

This product works well on me except the fact that it really leaves behind sth oily on my face. So after I use this scrub, I first rinse and clean with my puff and do a follow up with my cleanser during summer.
Anyways, after the exfoliation and my follow up cleaning, my face shows a clear glow but those horrible oily ones. This scrub is definitely mild but effective and moisturizing. However, I won't recommend this to those with oily skin but to dry flaky skin. Love this and I hope it won't be discontinued!

This products works nicely on my skin as a basic exfoliator. Don't buy into this being an "at-home micro-dermabrasion" product. The sticky, surgary texture is a little strange at first, but if you keep rubbing it in upward, circular motions as recommended, it really does tend to evaporate for the most part after a few minutes. After the directed three minutes, I rinse off the rest of the product with plain luke warm water and after that, my skin is smooth, glowing and clean. My skin is lightly freckled and fair, and I have combination skin in the summer and dry skin in the winter. I'm in my late '20s also. I hope this review helps!

I LOVE sugar and salt scrubs, but I HATE this product! As with all the other complaints, this product leaves behind the most nasty grime! I wouldn't even call the leftover grime 'oily' because oil can be dissolve off with cleanser or soap. But no matter what cleanser or soap I used to wash this stuff off, it wouldn't come off!!! I had to literally scrap this layer of grime off my face with my finger nails.
Sure, the actual scrub was not bad, but because of this disgusting layer of grimy leftover residue on my face, I would NEVER use this again, even if it were the last scrub on earth. I have normal-combo skin, drier in winter. I have tried quite a few scrubs and not only is this the worst scrub I have ever used, this is THE worst cosmetics product EVER!

I quite like this. I have quite sensitive combination skin and this works well on it. I use it as I'm getting in the shower and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. I'm not so keen on the oilyness of it though so I don't think i will re purchase as there are so many other products to try.

This is an interesting product... it's suppse to be a microembrasion product, to scrub off dead skin cells. It does do the trick, but it's too much for my combination skin. It's oily and leaves the skin with a film afterwards. This product would be nice for normal skin but not for me

I wanted to like this product, but I can not stand that awful greasy crisco like mess that is leaves on my face. I of course had to wash my face afterwards, but it is a shame that it has this greasy residue because I like the sugar granuals in it. It is also very high price for the small tube that you get. Needless to say I returned this to Sephora.

I asked the SEPHORA lady for a microdermabrasion sample. I ended up with this product, which is clearly not medical grade microdermabrasion, but, if you use this scrub on your dry face, it will scrub off all the dead skin and make your face feel like a baby's bottom. The product doesn't work with water. Water melts this scrub (WHICH IS GREAT) so don't wet your face first.

If your skin is unusually sensitive, use a little water, but remember the more water you use the less scrubbing the product will do. The saleslady told me that this was heavy duty and not to use it every; she lied. This can be used often if you use water to melt the crystals.

It does create an oil slick, but you should wash your face after a scrub anyway.

i like this scrub because it is fast and easy.you use it on a clean dry face.it gets all the dead skin off youre face and makes youre shin feel baby smooth .youre treatments will work better if you have a exfoliated face.i use it once a week.a tube lasts a long time because you just need a drop. for you girls with oily skin, it does leave a slight film on youre face, if you dont like it wash it off for a minute with purity cleanser qvc sells the 32 ounce size.. another winner from philosophy!!

If it weren't for the price (the ONLY negative), I might buy a gajillion tubes of The Greatest Love. It's the best scrub I've ever used. No other scrub has gotten my face this smooth, and there's no irritation whatsoever. In fact, it's so gentle that I can go pretty close to my eyes with it, giving that area a light exfoliation with my ring fingers. It leaves a slick film that doesn't just rinse away; I need to use a warm, wet washcloth to get it all off. A bonus: if you use it around your mouth (it's great on lips!) and happen to get a little in your mouth, it tastes sweet, not medicinal and icky (I'm not suggesting you eat it, of course!).

I use this once per week. I like how my skin looks after... fresh and soft. The first couple times I used too much and it made my face feel a bit oily.
