I did read reviews before placing my order for this hmmmm... stuff but thought that probably it was a good point that foundation didn't show up on other reviewers' skin. I thought it might be something natural looking. Thankfully I ordered a sample!
Well, the name make-up is verrrrrry wrong. When they say that it doesn't show up on your skin that's exactly what they mean. You can just as well skip the foundation application step to see what kind of results you are going to get with this Natural finish oil-absorbing pasty foundation. Because you'll get none!
The lightest shade somehow made me look seriously sick, thought. Yellow!
Oil-control is okay but I never rely on promisses that foundation will control oil. There is nothing out there that can control my seriously oily t-zone besides regular blotting and powder touch-ups.
Conclusion: if your skin is oily and picture perfect without any imperfections whatsoever and you happen to look for a yellow-based tinted moisturizer with SPF without any moisture that's the one to try out!
Needless to say I have no plans to purchase this product!

I got samples of this foundation and was SO GLAD I did before deciding to get the full size product. NO COVERAGE!!!.....I think I applied it twice and still looked as if I wasn't wearing any foundation at all.

Thankfully I only ordered a sample, as I woke up to a HUGE zit on my chin the day after using this, and more pimples followed throughout the day. The coverage was so-so, but the texture was way too thick - which is probably why I broke out so badly. It was like my skin couldn't breathe. Too bad. My search for my HG foundation continues...

Is this a joke????? Paula claims to be the "cosmetic cop". She warns you not to wear foundation that is too yellow or pink. Then she makes a foundation ( Natural Honey) that makes you look like a gold disco ball face....I'm glad I only got a sample. This is crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh and it has the consistency of margarine. Gross, gross, gross.

This is similar to PC Barely There Sheer Matte Tint SPF 20. It offers a little bit more coverage than the BTSMT, but it may not be enough for women with redness or "serious" blemishes.

It applies a bit more evenly if you use a sponge or foundation brush, unlike the BTSMT which can be applied with your hands.

I have oily skin and this foundation stays matte for a a while, but eventually - like most oil-free foundations - will begin to mix with my natural oils and look shiny. (A plotting paper or tissue and maybe a light dusting of powder takes care of that.)

I still like the fact that it has a good SPF I therefore don't have to layer another product. I also like the sheer to light coverage, for casual days. (On days were I need more coverage, I go for Stila's Oil Free Liquid, with an SPF product applied underneath during daytime - or without and SPF at night.) Only con: It's not available offline, so I end up paying shipping fees and have to wait 7-14 days for it to arrive.

This made my face turn red and itch horribly. By mid-morning I was in the restroom, splashing cool water on my face. Like many others, her skincare is great, but having tried several of her makeup products, I'm done. Thank goodness I only bought samples!

Terrible!! Barely provides any coverage at all. Texture is very creamy and sticky and it doesn't blend well into the skin at all. This product is going in the bin.

Oh no... this is terrible. I ordered samples of this, Sheer Matte Tint and All Bases Covered. While I love SMT and find ABC okay, this was just awful. It is a thick paste but when I tried to apply it onto my skin, it just WOULDN'T blend. It either disappeared or streaked, and stuck to eyebrows etc. The colours aren't bad as I need yellow-toned foundation, but the texture is totally unworkable. I did have mooisturiser on underneath but not recently applied. I managed to cover half the face before giving up. Cannot believe anyone likes this stuff! Very strange. I love Paula's products but this one is unbelievably bad.

I'm a huge fan of Paula's Choice skin care products, but found most of her makeup to be so-so. Her foundations are just terrible for anyone looking for something other than sheer coverage! When this came out, I eagerly bought samples thinking maybe this one will be good especially because I have oily skin. Sadly the coverage was way too sheer and it didn't blend well on my skin. After applying, I was surprised to see streaks of it here and there on my face! I hope someday she comes out with a good coverage foundation that I like, but in the meantime I'll stick to her skin care products and buy my makeup elsewhere.

Bought this because I thought that this would be similar to Barely There Sheer Matte Tint, which my oily, acne-prone skin loves. But Natural Finish turned my face into a greaseball waiting to happen--even with powder. I was puzzled until I checked PC's website. It says that Natural Finish contains "lightweight thickening agents." Paula, thickeners [like moisturizers] may be ok for normal skins, but oily skins don't need them. I think Natural Finish is for normal to slightly dry skin--which I don't have, so I won't repurchase this.

This should be called Natural Finish Oil-Absorbing "Tint" instead of "Makeup",because that's really what it is. I believe that if you have relatively clear, problem-free skin, then this is the one for you. I am probably one of the very few on the board, however that likes all the shades. There are no pinkish or peach shades at all in the group, just all very neutral/yellow-based,(there are 4 colors to choose from).I just think you have to have nearly perfect skin for it to look good, because it is indeed so sheer.

The product description sounded exactly what I was looking for to use on “good skin” days during the summer. – a light foundation w/ abovenzone that would keep oil and shine in check. Unfortunately, after trying a couple of samples I was not at all impressed. Since the coverage was exceptionally sheer, I didn't expect to look as jaundiced as I did. The finish just did nothing for my skin and I definitely looked better bare faced. I couldn’t tell that there was any oil control either. Oh well, it’s working for someone since it’s flagged as a best seller at the moment.

Being a huge fan of Paula's skin care, I decided to give her cosmetics a try. I have to say that I'm very disappointed. I have the same problems with this foundation that others have commented on. The color looks orange-ish on my skin (even though I chose the shade according to Paula's color-selecting chart), and it doesn't cover well, either. It looked so bad after I applied it that I had to wash it off and do my whole face over with my usual Neutrogena. I'll definitely be sending this back.

As much as I love Paula's other stuff - I can handle her foundations. Now, most of them are ok (except for the Best Face Forward which is ridiculous), but this one, the Natural Finish, is just plain DANGEROUS. I received a sample of this foundation in the lightest colour with my last shipment, and I thought I'd give it a try, since I am always looking for a good foundation with SPF that doesn't contain any talc. This one seemed to fit the bill. I have to say that when I applied the sample, my face was perfect. No breakouts, no flakes, I've had a few really good days with my skin. Well, the good-skin-days came to a crashing halt as soon as I applied the Natural Finish. My skin started to burn instantly, and it kept burning for a bit. I think the colour was way to dark for me, like self-tanner, but I can't really tell because my face turned red and there was no way I could have determined if the foundation was a match with my "normal" skintone. I decided I wanted to give this a fair try, so against better judgement, I left it on for the day. Bad idea. The redness didn't disappear, and instead I came up with a few breakouts by the end of the day. I can't believe how my skin turned almost instantaneous into a disaster zone. Today my skin is already better, the breakouts are healing and the first layer of my skin is peeling off. And all this wasn't really worth it, because this foundation has almost no coverage at all. If you want my opinion: don't even try a sample.

My skin tone/type: normal/oily; light/medium with pink undertones; slightly blemish prone.

This is quite sheer, so is not recommended for pock-marked, or scarred skin. Rather, a good choice for people whose naked skin is in good condition. This product allows your own skin to show through. It enhances my skin's color and condition at the same time because it doesn't clog pores. But Paula has yet to offer any good color options for me. Her foundation colors tend to have a neutral and/or yellow cast to them. I need something pinker.

I'm not sure if I got the wrong color or what. I like the texture, and application. The color is way off yellow/orange as others have reported. If I want more coverage and put a lot on, it comes out looking streaky. I have tried to work with this color, blending and so on, but it never seems to work well. I wind up looking kind of like her make-over women on her website - over bronzed, unnaturally so. I'm fair to light, and maybe i just like fair skin, but i don't like bronzing on myself. I like her other products, and I plan on returning this and trying to get a better color. *Edit* I don't know what's up but it seems to look better after wearing it for an hour or so. Not sure if it sets well, or melts nicely into my skin or what. I still look bronzer than i'd like to, but if you're into that sort of thing, it seems nice. Also, it does help keep oil at bay. EDIT AGAIN: finally got the right color by accident as an extra in a swap! thanks! Natural Ivory is perfect, applies well, wears well. I alternate this with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer in Fair to Light

I was very dissappointed with this. I tried a sample and remember liking it. This product can only loosely be deined as 'foundation'. It is more like a tinted moisturizer and it does have an odd feel to it, too many silicones no doubt. It disappears completely on my skin and does not really even it out. I feel like I do not have any makeup on at all.

I really like Paula's skin care especially the exfoliators but I would not waste money on this product.

To add my opinion to the majority, I also disliked this foundation. It was way too dark and yellow toned for my fair skin (the lightest shade), I was an oil slick by noon (even on my normally dry combo areas), and it was somewhat hard to work with. In conjunction with the cream concealer, and the skin balancing cleanser with a good amount of Sunflower oil in it, my skin has never looked worse. I am seriously reconsidering everything in this line, as all of the new PC and PS products I've tried are nothing but irritating and cause my poor face to break out like nothing else. What has happened, Paula?
