The smell is VERY good, but it doesn't do much for me - I have had much cheaper conditioners that have worked much better. My hair looked a little better while drying - it didn't get all fluffed out at the ends, BUT when it dried, it got quite "crunchy", which it never does with cheaper conditioner. What this can be used for is if you like to put your hair up in a bun to get waves - it creates those waves easier, but it doesn't hold them for long.
.
The consistency of ths conditioner is quite thin, not rich, and I don't feel this gives me enough moisture - I think it would be better for people with fine hair.
I don't think this is any good for my hair, so no, won't repurchase.

I have to say that I loved this product HOWEVER for some reason I bought a new bottle and it is doing nothing for me. I am very disappointed. I can't wait to finish this!

I guess I'm the odd man out.. I used it 2 years ago when I had my natural hair color; it was summer, therefore no hair dryer or any other styling products touched my hair. I had heard so many good things about it that I just paid a lot of money because I thought it was worth it. And when I tried it... man, was I disappointed! My fine hair became soooo tangled! I had never had these kind of problems with my hair before using it. I kept using it because of the money... I finished the bottle and my hair was still horrible. It is true that once it was dry it looked shiney; but i always ripped my hair trying to comb it, so it was a very bad experience for me.

I love this, you only need a little bit to make your hair soft and shiny again and it works great with the k-pak reconstruct shampoo. These two in combination give me a great hairday everytime I use them. I do wish that it would smell more like the reconstructer mask (banana pudding) because I don't care so much for the scent it's kinda average. But they work and my hair loves them so I would buy again even though I find the products a little expensive!

I do like the shampoo from this line. But here I also have to pull the high rating down- this conditioner does not work for my hair. My hair It's not very damaged and natural- but this conditioner produces more tangles than before using this stuff. It makes the hair soft but also kind of dry. A strange conditioner to my opinion. I would not repurchase. However- two lippies cause its not the most horrible condi I ever tried and the smell is nice.

Usually I wait a while to review a product so i can really see how it works over time, but I've used this conditioner twice and it has already dramatically improved the feeling of my hair. You see, my hair is fine, dry, and super brittle. I have tried paul mitchell, bumble&bumble, redken, sebastian, morrocanoil and countless masks and have not felt softness in my hair in about a year. Until the other day- when I bought this conditioner. I've used it twice and my hair is shiny, supple, and elastic again and I am so happy I could just cry! I know it is expensive, but i got a gigantic pump bottle for $16 at TJ Maxx and that is a great deal. Smells nice too- like apple. Love this!!!

I’ve been using this conditioner on and off for years but I always go back to it so for now on I’m sticking with it. I’m sick of the conditioners that make my hair greesy or weighed down feeling. This never lets me down. Infact I’m so impressed I’ve got myself the shampoo (the color therapy K pak version). Leaves hair with just the right amount of moisture and shine!

I have used this product for a while and have had great results. My hair is long and fine as well as color-treated and over-styled and this conditioner used regularly seems to erase or prevent all the damage I do to my hair.
What really sold me on the product is when I switched to a different brand (Big Sexy Soymilk- it was on sale) and I noticed my hair just not springing back after the color treatments and styling. This conditioner doesn't work wonders after one use but if used consistently seems to make a big difference for damaged hair.

I have never used conditioners regularly because I can get acne form it easily after rinsing well.
But once my hair was damaged by dying I took a rise and try this conditioner.
This is moisturising and light enough and I can use it everyday to prevent tangled hair and it didn't casue any pimple on my face..
Sadly, it could not mend my hair, I used it as maintainence for everyday then I'd use Joico Deep Penetrating tratment for repair.

I didn't love this product at first. It was definitely a change from my usual drug store brand. However, if you give it time it does wonders for fine/dry hair. I would also like to add that a lot of the people that didn't like it failed to consider it may not have been the right salon product for their hair. It was recommended to me specifically because I have very fine and very dry hair. It's certainly not for everyone.
Simply put:
Do I think this product is good? Yes.
Will it work the same for everyone? No.

I always tend to look for miraculous products when it comes to my hair, and everytime I end up disappointed and I return to this product.
I use it as a daily conditioner, and I find it leaves my hair smooth, shiny, and it looks healthy. It actually does what it says, unlike those other brands that claim miracles and deliver none.
I also used it to wash hair extensions a few times, and it worked just fine.
My hair is actually pretty damaged because of over-styling (is that even a word?) but this conditioner makes it look healthy and my hair is extremely easy to work with afterwards.
Overall, this is an extremely good product for the price, and I would recommend it to all hair types.

This is a brilliant product and I can't wait to buy more! I used this with its matching shampoo in the hope it would help my poor, tortured hair that had gone from bleached blonde to dark brown. I have noticed a huge improvement in my hair. It is much more manageable and split ends are significantly fewer!! One of the best products I have ever used.

This doesn't agree with my hair type at all. It makes my hair so tangly and dull, almost mushy in a way. My hair isn't in terrible shape, I am sure it could be better, but it isn't awful by any means. I have fine, long, color treated hair and I thought this would be good to use once a week so I bought the huge bottle on sale. It does condition....but the sorry state it leaves my hair in is pathetic. Also the scent really puts me off. I used it the day after a night of indulging in about two too many cocktails and it made me sick. It's almost like a synthetic banana scent to me. Not great, hungover or not. I may use this every now and again on my ends but other than that I won't rebuy,

I love this conditioner. I had dyed my hair with OTC hair dye. It was horrible left my hair super dry. I have been having problems with my hair for the last couple of months, nothing I did would help it regain shiny, softness, and well make it look healthy. After, a week of using the conditioner along with the shampoo, I am hooked!! I love my hair. this product has made it manageable and most of all healthy!! I actually found joico at TJ Maxx for a much lower cost. The container is great, it has a pump so just the right amount is dispense. I strongly recommend this to any one struggling to have healthy, shiny, strong hair once again! :)

I absoloutley agree with the previous reviewer. The hair products at walmart work better than this stuff. I always get tons of compliments on my hair, & I've used walmart products all my life on my hair & never had a problem. Ever since I've tried using all these "high end" salon shampoos/conditioners it has made my hair worse, more damaged & dry. Never doing the "high end" shampoo/conditioner thing again, I've learned my lesson. Ironically, I work in a salon so i've tried many "high end" products & I'm telling you....they aren't all they're cranked up to be. One thing I do know, is that if your hair isn't pretty damaged for the most part, products with protein in them will further damage & dry out your hair. That being said, that's probably why this didn't work for me. My hair is healthy for the most part, so all this protein dried out my hair. I would only reccommend this for people with severely damaged hair, not for people with somewhat healthy hair. & that goes for any products containing protein in them, especially in high amounts like this one.

I got a liter bottle of this at Ulta for 14.99...I originally went in just to try the K-Pak reconstructor but my beloved Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco conditioner bottle had busted all over while I was on vacation, so when I saw how good of a deal it was I figured why not try it?
This morning after the gym I shampooed with Bumble and Bumble Gentle shampoo, put in the reconstructor, and then put in the conditioner (I used a showercap on my hair to let the ingredients penetrate better for both). My hair felt silky in the shower when I was rinsing out the conditioner. I did a wash-and-go, smoothing just a dab of gel through my bottom layers.
After my hair dried, I saw it in a mirror at school and WOW! It was so shiny, and my hair fell in that perfect messy-yet-sexy way with nice defined waves and no frizz. My boyfriend literally would not stop touching it all day, and asked what I did differently because it was so soft. It has just gotten better as the day goes on, getting even silkier. I'm pretty sure this was the conditioner, because all the reconstructor is supposed to do is make my hair stronger. :P
For reference, I have very thick 2B/C hair cut into a shaggy lob. It is virgin as far as coloring goes, and is easily damaged from heat and has a tendency to dry out. I wash my hair whenever it gets dirty...sometimes its 2 days, sometimes its 5.

This was recommended to me by the girl who used to color my hair, since my usual color job involved bleaching and (usually) all over highlighting plus color deposit (always).
So basically my hair required extra special care, and this product provided it. Although my hair was overly processed, it did not look in, by way of being damaged, dried out, frazzled etc. I always blow dried then used the straightener on my hair every single time I washed it and it still looked and felt very healthy despite how I tortured it.
This conditioner always left my hair with just the right amount of moisture, which is surprising since my hair required a LOT of moisture. I should mention that I used this as a usual conditioner, while adding a deep moisturizing treatment a few times a month.
Now that I am not putting my hair through all that, I have been using regular DS shampoo/conditioner and my hair is NOT in good condition. It has been breaking, splitting and not feeling nice. I thought my hair would be in better condition now. So I thought what is so different about what I'm doing now and then besides the coloring (which would've made it worse, NOT better)? And I honestly think this is the answer. I got so sick of it and was so glad I didn't *have* to use it anymore, but I think I will go back and use whatever I have left.
Anyways, it's pricey, but you can get it at discount in stores like Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or if in Canada, Winners. I would however suggest caution when purchasing those varieties, as I used this product constatly for over 2 years, and therefore was very familiar with it, and I know for a fact that the conditioner I purchased from one of those stores in an original Joico K-Pak bottle was definitely NOT the usual product.

I liked the conditioner, it helped untangle a bit - which is the first and pretty much only thing I look for in a conditioner. Not the best smell, but I always use Biosilk after I shower so it covers easily. I prefer Nexxus or Enjoy for the tangles.
