LM blushes have a very finely milled, silky quality to them, there is not a lot of "extra" to tap off the blush brush or to remove from your skin because of fall out. They are nicely pigmented and very buildable but a little goes a long way. I have several shades of LM blush including 2 back ups of discontinued Opera but I adore the Rose Petal. It gives a beautiful healthy but natural glow to my very fair Irish skin. I thought it looked a little warm in the pan but it is not too warm on my skin which needs to stay with the cooler tones. This makes me believe that it would work equally well on cool or warm fair to medium toned skins. This is a matte blush with a soft glow but no glitter. I think the price is reasonable given the quality and the fact i know how long it takes to hit pan on these blushes but my one gripe is that I wish the packaging was a little bit larger just because I prefer to use a large Bobbi Brown blush brush and while the packaging is nice for not taking up a lot of space it would be nice if there was a little more surface area to brush across with a large blush brush. You need this in your blush wardrobe, it's unassuming but invaluable at the same time.

Never would have considered it without the reviews! It's counter-intuitive for me -- I don't gravitate to peachy tints at all, but this looks fantastic on. Makes me wonder why I spent so many years in barely there dusty roses, when this brightens up my face so nicely without looking clownish. It really stays on well, too.

I'm not sure if this is my absolute favorite blush...however I do reach for it quite often. It's high end, & therefore pricey, but worth it when you take into account the great pigmentation/quality. I love that Rose Petal is matte. I have huge pores & nothing is worse than having my imperfections highlighted by shimmer. As for the shade... I'd describe this as a light babypink with a smidge of peach. For reference I am NC10 (albino, yellow undertones) & Rose Petal is perfect. Not too bright or unnatural. I will repurchase.

Why did I not try this sooner?
This is the blush I have been searching for the past two years.
I have tried every brand from BB to YSL.
I was stuck with Dandelion cause it was pretty nice on my pale asian skin. But this LM is just absolutely beautiful. Even Dandelion seemed to turn a bit reddish on me. This one has a hint of peach which seems to
calm the redness and give my face a fresh glow.
I love this!!!!
I am buying one more just in case they discontinue.

I must register a dissenting vote on this. I love blush since I am very pale and look washed out and sickly without it, and I'm constantly on the lookout for new ones. I had high hopes for Rose Petal based on the reviews, and the color indeed appears lovely from a distance, if a bit delicate, but close up I could see it pooling into my pores (which are not that big on my cheeks!). I didn't find it to be buildable; a little bit was not enough color but adding more made it clearly sit atop my skin. As a brunette I've had more success with deep colors, like NARS Outlaw, for a natural, from-within glow. I can see this working well for a pale blonde or redhead with perfectly smooth skin, though. I also object to the tiny compact which I found hard to open. Back to Sephora it goes!

Absolutely LOVE this product! Shade is extremely universal, flattering most skintones, buffs on like a dream and plan on purchasing a backup just in case! Laura has done wonders for the beauty world. Many many star products from this line.

I'm adding to the love for this product. I used NARS Orgasm for ages and I got fed up of the sparkle. This is a lovely matte, fresh pink that is perfect for fair skin. It is highly pigmented and you don't need much, so I hope it will last a long time. V happy with it!

This little blush is AMAZING. Seems like it wouldn't be anything special when you see it in the pan, but adds the most youthful, brightening, attractive flush of color when I apply it. I think it is a true soft pink with a little warmth to it which keeps it from looking too little girlish. I combined it with Chanel Mademoiselle lipstick and the effect was really pretty. I can't imagine that this wouldn't look good on anyone with fair skin (and probably darker complexions too). A nice complement to some of my other warmer neutral Laura Mercier blushes.

In my opinion, a good blush is one that, immediately after applied to this 40-year-old face, makes me look 10 years younger. This blush does just that. Love it.

My HG powder blush (for cream blush I use Revlon in Rosy Glow). Somehow this blush gives skin a luminous glow without any sparkle. I hate sparkles in blush, which is why NARS Orgasm disappointed me. I wear makeup to look attractive to men, and men love pretty, glowing skin that doesn't look like makeup - which this blush accomplishes.
It looks quite pink on the brush but doesn't streak and is buildable with a light hand. I'm very pale, so I don't think this would be too dark on anyone. My only complaint is that the packaging is very small for the price (but at least it's sturdy).

Oh yes, I would buy this again. This may be my forever blush. I bought it because so many of you ladies said I should. :) I have been a fan of LM for a couple years now, after getting a free makeover. I had tried the cream blush, which was not my favorite - too splotchy. But this may be perfect. It goes on so smooth and sheer - it really looks like I've been out for a brisk walk. The color is so pretty and light and very buildable. I think this would flatter a lot of skin tones. It's pretty expensive and I don't care for the small size, although I will say LM compacts don't feel cheap - they're very surdy,

This is my first Laura Mercier product and I really like it. It's a natural pink/peach color. Very natural and flattering on the cheeks. I wish the packaging was better. It's a little small.

Oh, this is perfection! Gorgeous colour, texture and effect. It goes on very sheer and can easily be layered without risking overdoing it. It's practically fool proof.
My only objection is that the packaging is a bit on the small side especially if using a blusher brush, and seems more suited to an eyeshadow brush. The other downer is that being Laura Mercier, the price is rather high.
All in all, though a great product and definitely a keeper.
x

Laura Mercier has always been my "go-to" for exceptional beauty products, at least 90% of the time!
I discovered this little charmer in a palette that was on sale on the web site. Let me just say, that I've been on the hunt for the perfect pale, pale pink powder blush for a long time. I've sampled, swatched all "pale pinks" from YSL to Nars to Bobbi Brown to Lancome.....
I have finally discovered the perfect pale pink! The pigment is buildable, which I like, because sometimes I'm to enthusiastic when it comes to blush, and I definitely don't want to resemble a clown. So that's a plus. The blush blends beautifully with your foundation, so it doesn't take the credentials of a SA to be able to pull of a NATURAL look, without stating "Yep, that's her blush alright!" The staying power is a good 7 hours on me, and I have T-zone oilies on my mature skin.
I will definitely buy the blush when I'm done with the palette's blush. I just can't sing the praises enough!

I am in love with blush so I was so excited to try this one and it definitely did not disappoint. I had been relying on Nars in Orgasm for a while because of the great reviews, and I really did love that one, but I didn't like how the glitter got everywhere. Second Skin is fantastic because it doesn't dry out my cheeks and it has the right amount of pigment for a subtle look. Which also means that I can build it up for a more dramatic look. This color is great for me because I'm extremely pale so this gives me some color in the morning but looks like it is just a natural flush. I think this blush will be with me for a while.

This is a beautiful MATTE warm baby pink. Beautiful soft natural color. There is no shimmer whatsoever in this blush, so if you are looking for a glow/shimmer this is not the blush for you. I do love it but wish it had just a slight touch of glow. Color is soft and natural and will continue to use it this winter. For tanned skin this would be much too light/chalky. I will try the lotus pink in the summer ( that one is a bright coral pink with slight shimmer).

Would I buy this again? Well, I did without remembering I had bought "Rose Petal" about a year ago and would still use! So now I have two :) Fantastic smooth texture, matte without looking dull and the colour is perfection, a beautiful flattering blushed pink (without looking like a clown) with a tiny hint of peach? Love it.
