I got this in a kit with brushes. These colors make you look natural! My favorite part is the contour powder and the double sided brush. My least favorite was the blush brush, it was stiff and had a lot of bristle fall out. :(

-buildable blush, cannot over do!
-comes with brushes (well, my kit did)
-very subtle
-refills available
Cons:
-I am have medium shade skin and found the shaping powder from Life is Lighter to be a little too light. I'll try a darker shade next time

AWFUL! I haven't been so disappointed in a makeup product in a long, long while. Drugstore blushes and highlighters are so so better in quality than this.
The blush is so not pigmented. It is like a relic from the 80's. I have to scrape the pan to get the color out. It is hard like a brick.
The highlight shade would never work as a highlight on me--it is way too dark. (NC15) It is more like a blush on me. The highlight was not as hard as the blush but the quality is still not that great.
The contour is probably my favorite part of the kit because it is not too orange. It is actually a nice contour shade.
I'm only keeping the kit for the contour shade.
The packaging is slim and practical but a bit tacky just like the whole brand.

Full disclosure: I look like crap in the morning. I'm pale and never get enough sleep so I always look puffy, washed out, and tired. That is, until I use this. It really is a night and day difference. This product is 3 powders: a highlighter, contour, and a sheer glowy blush. I use the highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, the contour in the hollows of my cheeks and around my temples, and the blush on the apples of my cheeks (there is a video on the Mally website showing how to use it). It takes about 30 seconds and leaves me looking awake, thinner (unfortunately just my face, not my thighs) and just awesome in general. I'm NC20-ish and have this in In the Pink Lighter.
I love the packaging: super cute pink metal that snaps securely shut with a full size mirror. The powders pop out individually and you can buy individual refills since you are likely to run out of them at different times. It's expensive ($40 for the full compact) but really worth it in my opinion, especially since it lasts a long time.
NOTE: Do not expect a super pigmented blush. It is meant to look like a "glow," not obvious blush.

I got the Shimmer Shape and Glow kit in my Holiday Collection kit. I have to say, I don't care for blushes...but the peachy pink blush in this kit is beautiful. I'm a guy, btw. I use Mally Beauty products to have a natural clear complexion.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this! I got it in a swap some time ago, and it was my first encounter with Mally Beauty. I have it in the Light Pink shade, which is fairly nice for my NC20-25 complexion.
PROS:
- Comes in 4 shade variations (dark pink, light pink, dark peach, light peach) to fit different complexions
- You can pop out the individual colors and replace them in case you run out of one shade quicker than you do another
- Really does imitate nice cheekbones/bone structure
CONS:
- The powders are not that pigmented, so I find I really have to "rough them up" before applying. I learned this trick from an MA -- take a clean mascara wand/spooly brush, and rub it against the surface of each powder before dipping your blush brush in. This helps to pick up more product.
- As with all Mally products, it is not readily available in-store, unless you go to Henri Bendel in NYC.
Aside from that, I do love this product, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart (lol!)

I bought the "discovery kit" in Life is Lighter (the light peach one) and have the dark matte one arriving in the mail any day now (it was on sale on beauty.com - $32 instead of $40).
This concept is genius. I know that other makeup artists have pioneered a system similar (other reviewers mentioned Scott Barnes), but I haven't tried those and am familar only with the Mally Beauty one. The thing I love about the Mally Beauty one is that the palette is refillable.
Mally gives great instructions: a printed version that comes with the kit and online tutorials on her own website. She takes the guess-work out of it and I love her for that!
The highlighter is fantastic. It's not a disco-ball glitter at all. It's a subtle shimmer. I can see myself wearing this during the day without feeling like I'm shimmering all over the place. The "shape" part is good. It is easy to make a subtle contour -- but also easy to over-do it and end up with brown smudges on your face. So, a light hand is necessary and check after every "layer" you do (ie. apply one stroke, check your face; apply another stroke, check again; and so forth...). I bought the dark matte one because I want to use the shape part to build more of a contour on my nose and the shape in Life is Lighter is too light for that.
And the "glow" (ie. "blush") in Life is Lighter is gorgeous. It's a peachy shade that seems like it would be universally flattering. I've worn it on its own, and it's nice.
All in all, yes, I will be re-purchasing when I finish the discovery size.

This was my first Mally Beauty kit and this made me a makeup convert! Seriously, before this, I always thought of makeup as unnecessary and frivolous..maybe because I was such a dummy with makeup. But because this made it so easy, simple and quick to be glam, I invested in so many other Mally Beauty products, and I am not disappointed! Many comment how neat and fresh I look now as compared to the absolutely bare face.
The blush this kit comes with is a peach that matches most skin tones, the brown, which is for contouring is "invisible", you don't get a brown streak. The highlighter is buildable and I just put more if I'll be going out at night.

I ordered the discovery kit from Mally's website. I got both the light peach (Life is Lighter) and the light pink (In the Pink Lighter). Each kit includes Shimmer, Shape, and Glow, two brushes to apply the SSG, a pink lipgloss for the pink kit and a nude/beige lipgloss for the peach kit, and a silver eyeshadow for the pink kit and a brown one for the peach kit. The SSG is very natural, the shape powder gives my face a nice definiton without being obvious. The shimmer is not glittery, which is good. It just brightens the eye / cheek bone area. The glow is a soft, subtle blush. It looks very natural on your skin. All the powders in the SSG are awesome. I was worried that I'd look like I have stripes on my face because all of the different colors. But they are super natural. I'm not sure if I look like I lost 5 pounds like Mally said, but my face is definitely more defined and glowing (not shiny or glittery). Two thumbs up!!

I've never truly been in love with a blush before but Mally Beauty Shimmer Shape and Glow is simply genius.
Three of the easiest steps to light up, define and add a soft hint of color to your face. A wonderful sheer formula that blends perfectly together to form one terrific look. I am in LOVE and will purchase this fabulous product again.
Colors I use are Life is Lighter and Love is Deeper, both from the peach collections. I will be purchasing In the Pink (Lighter) eventually.
The brushes are perfect for each step, applying it all in the right place.
May I also comment on the packaging, very chic, trendy yet ultimately feminine. I rate this product 5 big beautiful sparkly stars !!

This is truely my favorite, can't live without product!!! Originally, I couldn't decide on a color to get and so I ordered 3 different "Discovery Kits"... "In The Pink Lighter"
"In The Pink Deeper"
"Life is Lighter"
The five-piece Discovery Kits are an excellent way to try these products and they are an amazing value! You get a tad bit less Shimmer Shape Glow product but, it is so lightweight and perfect for keeping in your purse or travel with two travel brushes, lipgloss and eyeshadow for just $26 !!! So, you can afford to try all the colors and just play! The main difference in the Discovery Kits and the regular Shimmer Shape Glow "SSG" is the packaging. The "SSG" in the Discovery Kits are packaged in a very sturdy lacquered cardboard with a magnetic closure is .3 oz. and cannot be refilled but, I love how lightweight it is, I carry it everywhere. The regular "SSG" has a metallic compact with a mirror, is .4 oz. and can be refilled individually. Both are a beautiful pink outside with a grey snakeskin pattern inside. The brushes in the Discovery Kits are not as lux as the full size but, they are great for travelling.
My favorite is definately "In The Pink Lighter" and for any of you out there that have tried this and weren't impressed, you tried the wrong color! Once you find the color that works for you, you will be completely hooked and in love! People will start commenting on how amazing you look, it is so awesome!
I keep the full size "SSG- In The Pink Lighter" at home for everyday use and have 2 of the Discovery size "SSGs" in both the lighter Pink and Peach that I keep in my purse for on the go. I just noticed that on www.mallybeauty.com you can order refils and also a compact of just the SHAPE and LIGHT for contouring with an amazing brush that I am going to buy after writing this!

Love this! Fool proof and takes all of 2 minutes to apply. I ran out of the "shape" and need to order a refill. I love that you can order the refills for this.

I have purchased this twice, mainly for the "shape" part of it..the brown, contouring powder. It works nicely and is a great idea. The container also has a light gold highlighgter and peach blush. I am aNC30-35 and the blush is faily light, but can be built up or down. The powder formulation is very nice...no fallout, no gliter, easy to blend. The goldish highlighter looks lovely as an eyeshadow or a base. Good job Mally, although I would like to be able to purchase only the contour powder. Mally is exciting and an excellent makeup artist. She's fun to watch.

I got this product in in Life is Lighter (light peach tones). I really wanted to love this product because it seemed to simplify the whole question about mixing and matching the right shades. But it was not to be for me, at least.
The glow colour is a pinky peach but is very sheer. The shimmer colour is a light beige and the shape is a dark taupe. I like the glow and shimmer colours but I find the shape colour is way too dark for me. I have light/medium asian skin and I found the whole combination looks very orangy and muddy on my skin tone. Maybe I just picked the wrong pallette but I won't be re-ordering to experiment further.

I'm very impressed with this product.
My face is fairly round, and not exactly slim, and I always have a slight feeling of insecurity where blusher is concerned. Some days I get it right, some days not. Sometimes one side is marginally better than the other... anyone out there know what I mean?
Anyway, this stuff means it is a good blusher day, EVERY day. Like having a good hair day. But better, because I can always put my hair up. and I can't remove my cheekbones on a bad day, can I?
So, I agree with everyone who says this ISN'T a blusher. It is a healthy glow, a contour and a magic wand that gives me cheekbones and a jawline.
I have the lighter peach, but am seriously considering getting the darker peach and the light pink, to cover all my bases, as it were.
One teensy word of warning though - my eyes are a wee bit sensitive, and I got carried away one day and used the contour shade as a quick eyeshadow option. It looked great, but it made my eyes sore, so I won't be trying that again. Back to mineral only colours round my eyes...

A great blush - such a great shade and it's got a sheer quality that really seems to work well with most skin tones. I've had trouble in the past with clown cheeks - but this just gives me a soft glow. The contouring is amazing too - very sheer and subtle. Also I don't find this shimery at all, just more of a glow... By far the best blush I've used and the most idiot proof

I bought this SSG in Life is Lighter. I don't know why some reviewers say it's not dark enough. First, it's to highlight the cheekbones for that glowing effect. It's not meant to be used as a blush. However, on my NC 30 skin, it looked like I have a peachy blush on. So yes, it does add color. The shimmer is not a finely milled powder. It settled in my lines and looked dry. The "shape" is great though. Overall, I'd much rather just use my other liquid highlighters around my eyes and a soft shimmer bronzer (which I already have) on my cheeks and save my money on this one. I so much want to love this, but unfortunately it's going back to QVC.

This is my HG and I will buy again when I run out. The pink blush is my favorite blush but the Mac Fafi Fashion Frenzy is a close 2nd at this point. The contour color can never be applied too heavily which is part of its magic and beauty. The shimmer is subtle so it's wearable during the daytime. I used the pink blush foir my wedding make-up which shows how much I love the color. LOVING this!

I bought this on the shopping channel after Malley was on demo'ing it on her models. She is the funniest girl! Anyway, I had to try this out, so I got the Pink is Lighter version but I`m thinking I should`ve got the darker pink one. It didn`t come with brushes but that`s okay because I have a few already. This gives me a natural pretty effect when I use all three, definitely doesn`t look like I`ve caked on makeup or blush. That`s all I can say basically is that it`s pretty once on, and worth a shot if you`re thinking about it. If you like really pigmented blush and bronzer that stands out don`t choose this because that`s not what it`s for. It`s suppose to define your face and give you a glow which I think it does. love that she has 4 different palette`s to choose from, I just may try another if I ever finish this one :)
