The Mally Beauty light wand was a clever idea. I'm a guy and I bought the Mally Beauty holiday collection to give as gifts to family and friends. I kept the light wand and loved the idea of it. I use the pencil end first and the powder on top of that, it gives a soft shimmer.

This is just the most wonderful extra oomph factor! I could go with just this and blush and I'm out the door. It opens and brightens my eyes.

You just have to go easy though, because at first you don't notice that there's product on your eyes, until some light reflects on your face from an angle. So if you put too much it kinda looks like you just have morning stars.

But this is just the perfect shimmery ivory color that I have been looking for. Its not too shimmery..and if you're worried about that I'd recommend the matte version of this.

Might not show up on some skin tones, a friend tried and it did nothing.

This is one of the only cosmetic products that I have run out of and repurchased! Mascara excluded, because that actually does go bad and needs to be thrown out quite frequently. My light wand lasted me about 3 and a half years, granted I did not use it everyday, but I used it just about every time I went out at night or went on a date. The vast majority of time I just use the powder dabber side and not the eyeliner side underneath it and it stays on just fine. The "sixteen different light reflecting pigments" really do make quite the multi-dimensional illuminating look in both the inner eye area and the brow bone. Looks nice on the cupids bow, too. I suppose you could use this on your cheekbones in a pinch if you've forgotten your highlighter!

I do recommend putting this on BEFORE eyeliner, because if you put it on top of your eyeliner it can wash out your liner application.

i actually really like this product, granted you dont get much product for your money, but its still a wonderful brightener. i use the powder in the corners of my eyes and i use the pecil to highlight my brow bone. it has lasted me a while. word of warning, if you are african american or have yellow undertones do not, i repeat DO NOT get the mattewand. the matte version has a pink base and does not flatter our skin tone. the lightwand and its pearl shimmer really compliment the yellow undertones in our skin.

I am disappointed with this because, IMO, it is not worth the high price tag. And I will tell you why. You get very little product, especially in the powder end. I initially bought two of these when I saw it on TV. I thought the first one was perhaps a mistake on the manufacturers end, so I didn't return either of them. But it turns out the 2nd one I am now on is the same way. The packaging is cheap too. The end cap cracks. Don't get me wrong. I like it in general, which commanded 2 lippies. It does brighten up my eyes when used correctly, and I like the "poutiness" when I apply it on the cupids bow of my upper lip. But, for this price, I expect (much) more product. The pencil side is about 3/4 inch in length (I actually measured it). And with both wands I purchased, I was only able to use the powder side one or two times before either the product was gone, or it dried up. Not sure which. And that's a ripoff.

I have this in the matter version and it is wonderful. I do not go without it when I want that wide-eyed look. Works on me even though I have dark skin you just have to use it lighthanded.

I carry this with me everywhere I go. It gives my eyes that "wide-awake" and rested look. At first, I had a problem with the powder coming out when I applied to the second eye, but soon figured out that if you replace the cap and gently tap it, the wand will release more powder. I used to highlight the inner corner of my eyes with a similar colored eyeshadow, but this product is more vibrant and stays on a lot longer. Thanks Mally!

I love this pencil. I use the powder end almost everyday and it never looks overdone just gorgeous. I sometimes use the pencil end first on the inner corners of my eyes and then go over it with the powder end to soften it up. So pretty! I would definitely repurchase it.

Not impressed by this one. In theory, it's a great idea - the highlighting powder and pencil packaged in one product. Unfortunately, I found that the pencil did not have a smooth texture to it, and the powder end of the product had actually very little actually product in it. Very disappointing, and not worth the money

I get these as parts of Mally sets, but I wouldn't go out of my way except if I needed a concealer-colored pencil.

The wand is a 2-part pencil and dauber. The dauber has the powder in the cap and there isn't much of it. Not only that, sometimes the entire unit wants to come out of the pencil and it is a pain to open (by unscrewing.) The powder in my shimmer set ran out pretty quickly. The pencil lasts longer.

The shimmer is rather "piecey" and not as subtle as I'd like. The matte is a good eye highligher and lip line highlighter, but frankly for the price, I don't really think it's all that.

The matte version is excellent. Very easy to use and provides beautiful color. The shimmer color however is terrible. Make sure you buy the matte.

I use the liner side on the inner rim to look more awake. Also, I dab the powder side on the inner corner of my eyes. To me, the shade is appropriate and the result is subtle. This is effective enough at what it's intended to do to be worth the time it takes to apply. This is pricey. There are probably more economical alternatives to purchasing this product that would yield the same results. I have had no irritation from this product and overall enjoy using it.

I really like this product, but it's really designed for those of us who are more makeup savvy. Those who are not very experienced in applying eye makeup, may have trouble getting the hang of this. It's really not difficult, you just have to know how to apply it properly or else it wont have the effect on your eyes that was intended. I love the effects of it on my eyes, I use this if I am going somewhere after work and want to "freshen up" my look. It really does have a "wide awake" effect on your eyes. Or course, the key is to apply it well. I suggest going to qvc.com to see an online demonstration before you buy it. Once you get the hang of properly applying it, it's lots of fun to use!

This is actually a very good product. But, you must practice with it, play with it and most of all use a very light hand, especially with the powder side. I do agree with the fact it is kind of on the expensive side, but I got it in a kit. I would buy this again as long as it was in a kit.

Mally Beauty's eyebright wand is a great product, but only if you are in a certain skintone range. I bought the darkest color, which is why it works well, but dark skin tones, stay away from this! The sponge-tip side is even obvious on me, which is why i just "dab" it into the inner corners of my eyes. But the nude liner is really what I am reviewing. It stays put all day on my inner rims, and makes my eyes look big and bright.

I like this - takes a while to get used to applying it properly, but it does help, particularly under the eyebrow. I am light skinned, so that's probably why the color doesn't bother me.

I wanted to like this product because it is true that we can all use a little light in the inner corner of the eye. This product is relatively expensive at $25.00. The packaging is classic Mally pink though I never know what to do with those little pink suede cases once I have removed the product for use. The color is a rather bright white which is way too light for those of us with darker skin tones. Sort of gave me that reverse raccoon look that I used to get when I used Yardley Highlighter years ago when I started applying make up. Not a good look. It also was a very hard pencil that did not glide on easily resulting in pulling and tugging at that delicate eye area. I really have no idea of what to do with the dabber end and the little spring kept pooping out making it almost impossible to use. That is the same problem I have with all her pencils that have smudger or dabber ends. Bottom line, I think that I will stick with my YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighter which works better because it is creamier and comes in a darker peach shade. Unfortunately, it is even more expensive. Guess I am still looking for my HG product.

Love Love Love this product. Packaging is so cute and you get a great amount of product. It's great on the eyes, but use it on other parts, such as your cupid's bow to make lips pop! Or try it on the cheekbones. Great size to put in your purse for touch-ups
