I have those annoying hairs that stick up on top of your head, and for the most part this keeps them at bay. I have to be careful not too put too much though or my hair becomes stiff. It's very watery and lightweight, which I like. I stored it in a shelf that's too small so there's a hole near the tip, but it's all right.

What initially attracted me to this product, besides the Dove name, is the fact that it is touted as "weightless". I have naturally curly hair and wear it that way 80% of the time. This gel does not give my curls any kind of definition. As a matter of fact, my hair is prone to frizziness and this gel seemed to intensify that. I like the fact that it doesn't dry hard, but I need a stronger gel and will continue to search.

I bought this because It was on sale and I needed another gel to wear for when I want my hair curly. It wasn't the best I have used but did make my hair feel soft still. It was a little too light and didnt feel like it kept my hair curly for as long as I wish it would. I didn't hate this, but I didn't love it. I don't think i'd buy it again though.

The good part is that it didn't way down my hair or make it feel sticky and the smell is noce. Price isn't bad either. But really thre wasn't anything special about this gel. I use Herbal essences Body Envy gel on my hair and I think this is a step down from that. Not bad, not great either. Will not repurchase.<3

Very watery. That's the "weightless" moisture part of it. I mean seriously, maybe half a dime sized amount is all I need because this is so watery and spreads so easily. I really don't use it for it's intended purpose, which I guess is to hold a look in place. But I rub half a dime sized amt. in my palms so my palms are coated w/ the stuff, and then lightly smooth it on the top of my hair to keep flyaways down. Won't repurchase because I don't really style my hair & because it's so watery.

I thought that this worked well for my long wavy hair! I had been using Finesse mousse(I think its now discontinued, as I can't find it anywhere), but decided to go back to a gel. I took my shower at night as usual and put the gel in my hair after I got out. Slept on it and when I woke up in the morning my hair looked amazing. Shiny frizz free waves that looked like I had used a curling iron on them. I haven't decided if its leaving buildup though, I will have to update. I will definitely continue to use this gel.

Works well for me. It is on the watery side so I had to practice getting the right amount needed for my hair. Holds curls for bounce and feels soft.

Ick, ick, ick. I have never tried a gel I disliked as much as this one. I have very long, fairly healthy, fine but thick blonde hair, and I wanted something to add a bit of control. I have no idea if this did control it, I was too disgusted and freaked out by how STICKY it made my hair to even notice. Even hours later, I would run my fingers through my hair and pull a face at how gross my hair felt. And aside from making my hair look dirty, it also attracted dirt to it. I gave it to my sister, who can use anything on her hair and have it come away looking good, but even she doesn't use it very often.

Another winner from Dove. A co-worker actually commented on how great my hair looked the very first day I'd used this product. It gives my natually wavy/curly hair all-day hold and keeps frizzies at bay. It doesn't leave my hair feeling tacky, gunky or weighted down, which is a rare experience with gels. The scent is nice, too - clean and light.

This is a nice lightweight gel. I have baby fine hair and can totally use this. I really only put it on when I am spending a lot of time on my curls and want my hair to look perfect. Really does help my hair hold a curl very well for a long time. I dislike most hair gels but this is one I can really use. Smell is nice and it does not feel sticky at all. Overall a great hair product.

this didnt define or shine anything. i used it on my thick, long artificially wavy hair and it just made it frizzy. garniers wet shine gel did a better job than this. i love dove's antifrizz stuff though

I have fine, wavy hair that gets ridiculously flyaway in the generally humid weather in my city. No matter what shampoo/conditioner/treatment/product/technique I use, my hair usually has a fine, brillo-y coating of frizz on the surface layer. This product eliminates about 90% of the problem, which is the best result of anything I've ever used. Plus, every other gel I've ever used has left my hair crunchy, and if I run my hands through it, I get a nasty, sticky coating on my palms. This gel leaves both hair and hands feeling clean, and it does what it says (adds definition and shine) without adding buildup to my hair. My hair doesn't react well to product and often can look limp and greasy at the end of the day, but I don't have that problem with this, no matter how much I use. My only complaint is that it's hard to control how much comes out of the bottle when I squeeze it... even if I try to get a weensy bit with a gentle squeeze, gobs of it come spilling onto my hands. But I'll deal with that for a product that actually works for me. A plus plus, would buy again.

Not 100% sure on this one. I've only used it once or twice, because the smell is a bit much for me. This gel promises flexible hold, and I find it delivers on that much better than other gels I've tried. So far, it seems to work pretty well on frizz and isn't flaky. The bottle is very pretty and well designed.

Bought this gel after seeing it on a hair spread in Lucky. Said it works great to put in damp hair and scrunch into buns. I tried this and it did make my board straight hair beautifully wavy. That being said, I hesitate to give this product all the credit. I think there are many other products that would do the same as this maybe even better. But I am thankful to it for helping me style my hair in a new, easy, no hassle, yet sexy wavy way.

The only good thing about this product is the scent. It has absolutely no hold. My hair would have looked just as frizzy if I didn't use this "gel" on it.

I am so in love. I have long, thick, coarse curly hair and have found this gel to be the perfect match. It really defines each curl and leaves my hair soft and glossy. I always used to have to combine 2 or 3 products to get my hair to behave, and now I find that this gel alone does it better than any of my previous concoctions. The tube is see-through (major plus) and it dispenses out the bottom, so there's no wasted product. It's a cinch to rinse off hands, and smells great too.
