Really love Faces eye shadows! A lot cheaper than MAC and you're able to purchase refills of the colour which is even cheaper. The colours are well pigmented and can easily be blended! Will definitely continue to purchase!!!

I love Faces cosmetics, because the quality is almost identical to M.A.C and a bit cheaper. I pass threw a Faces counter from time to time and I always have to grab something. For me I am a big fan of their shadows very pigmented easy to blend and look gorgeous when applied wet. GO FACES!! ALSO they have amazing falsies almost a dupe for !

I own three of their eyeshadow colours. I have a duo set that is a dusky, shimmery purple and black. Unfortunately, the purple got loose a while ago, so I have none left. And the black pan is falling out as well. The compact is also broken though that may be my own fault. I also one a single eyeshadow in a bright midnight blue. I haven't had any problems with that one so far.

The eyeshadows themselves are of very good quality, but it's kind of a hit or miss. I didnt' find the black eyeshadow to be that pigmented, but the blue and purple go on very bright and beautiful.

I would buy again, as long as I can test them before hand.

I worked as an assistant manager at a Faces store for a year and a half about a year ago. I bought many eye shadows and got many for free because I worked there. I have many MAC eye shadows and obviously plenty of Faces ones too, and honestly, there isn't much comparison. I am a huge MAC fan and am not really a big fan of Faces Cosmetics, but their eye shadows are phenomenal. I saw another reviewer mention metaliglow, it is an amazing product. It's great for all over your body as well as a base for under eye shadows. I stood by these 2 Faces products as an employee and now as a customer. Great colours, just not a huge variety and they don't often get new ones.

well, i love all their eyeshadows as well. they are cheap but they have beautiful pigment AND do not leave colour marks on my eyelids like the ones at Sephora. And i just got this new product from them called METALIGLOW.. omggg it's the best. I know you can use it for under eyeshadow but the lady told me to use it bleneded with cream on my neck when i wear foundation b/c it's not the same and the metaliglow tans my neck a bit. it's amazing!

My mother got me an 8 eyeshadow tower. Unfortunately most of them are cooler colours, but they can still work on me. Especially the blue shimmer for last years halloween when I was a Barbie! The shadows are great, shimmery, look awesome, however, I'm not in love with the tower thing. if you lay it on its side if you're travelling, you can bet there will be eyeshadow everywhere. I wish they thought of that a little better.. but I will buy again, if I ever actually run out...

I've been saying this for years....

Faces is Mac for the price conscious...


The range of colours is unbelievable, the fact that you can custom make lots is very practical, and they often have specials on those custom lots - ie: $12/eyeshadow, or $65 for a palette of 8 eyeshadows and a blush in a large mirrored case.

At this point i have about 30 of their eyeshadows, and although i hate about 10% of them (they're the ones that are more neutral, not so highly pigmented), the other 90% are amazing. If i want neutral colours, i go to clinique or l'oreal or lancome, but if i was a shock of colour without the MAC prices and the MAC hype, i go straight to faces. Also, they wear very well, staying on the lid for quite a while.

Tip: enhance the staying power of your eyeshadow by either applying faces metaliglow face shimmer #2 (can also go into foundation - excellent highlighter) under your eyeshadow, or putting a little concealer on your eyelids prior to putting on eyeshadow.

Ps. the golds/bronzes/coppers are to DIE FOR. Gorgeous.

I am sooo disapointed with the quality of their eye shadows. I have oily skin and the powder eyeshadow does not stay on my lids for long at all! When I apply it to my lids it's so light that it flies everywhere on my face and then after like fifteen minutes it's non existent. Terrible quality. I definitely would not buy their powder eyeshadow again. MAC's powder eyshadow is sooo much better quality. I decided to try faces because it was cheaper but I guess you really do get what you pay for.

At first I didn't like this eyeshadow because it hardly showed up. But then I tried it over the Metaliglow and it was amazing. It doesn't crease and it stays vibrant all day.

I bought this in #163 which i believe is a NEW released colour. It's a lilac/pink colour; a very natural colour...exactly the colour i was looking for. It's a great colour to use as an all over wash or just on the lid. Perfect for the summer when anything u wear seems to SLIDE off your face! haha This does last quite a long time on the lids and did not crease or fade. Even in 30+degree weather! MY only complaint (if it even is one) is that i NEED to apply this with my fingers!! i tried using a brush and the powder is soo crumbly that i get an eruption of powder all over my face as soon as i begin to swipe!! i dont' mind using my fingers, but i find this odd. Good Quality e/s, very smooth and easy to blend.

I have been repurchasing Faces Eyeshadows for years and will most certainly continue to do so... Love the range in colors and over the years have tried most of them... This is by far one of my favorite companies for eyeshadows... It stays on all day and does not budge, never creases, never gets oily, and always looks fresh and transparent even when you use dark colors for the smoky effect... I really like smoky eyes and with Faces Eyeshadows I always achieve the ultimate desired effect... this and my Taint Idole liquid foundation by Lancome are my ultimate 'MUST HAVES!!!!'. I have a pretty high-stress-always-on-the-go job and have to look my best at all times... but no matter who I'm meeting I always feel so well put together and know that my make-up is one thing I do not need to think about...

i bought this with in a box for 4. i will add as time goes on. i currently have a turquoise and a sea foam white-green. very nice. doesnt fade. doesnt crease. the box is great. either a duo, a quad or a thing of 12 i think. and u can also take then out of the box holder thing and put in new ones. conveniante and useful. packagaing is great. buildable and comes in a great range of colors for everyone. it also comes with a neat little brush. the price was good for the quality but i still dont like spending money lol. overall it will continue to be an item in my makeup bag.

I am very impressed with the eyeshadows. They are well pigmented, go on softly and stay on relatively well. The only reason I gave the product a 4 instead of 5, is that some shades have to be layered on a couple of times to show up on me. Otherwise, this is an excellent eyeshadow (especially for the price), with a wide selection of colors, the sales people are very helpful. I have tried clinique and lancome, and this one is much softer and lasts longer.

Like one of the reviewers said, the colours went on a little dull for me. It didn't crease, which I liked...but you need to layer on 2-3 times to get some pigment. I find MAC eyeshadows much smoother to apply without having to cake it on, unlike Faces. The colour selection and price for Faces eyeshadows are awesome when you compare it to MAC, but the pigmentation is just like any drugstore brand--layers required. The only upside to these eyeshadows is that they fit MAC e/s palettes perfectly, and they don't crease. The refill pans for Faces DO NOT have a magnet on the bottom, making it spin around when you dip an applicator on it :(

Individual pans are very cheap ($7CDN and you can get a 10% discount if you have a student price card too) and they colour selection is great. Most of the colours are well pigmented, but I had to take 1 lippie off because some of the brighter colours apply *very* lightly which was really disappointing. However, the eyeshadows blend easily and stay put all day.
Also, it seems like they never get anything new, so after a few purchases, it gets a bit boring.

I have TONS of Faces eyeshadows, blushes and brushes. When I first got into make-up, it's all I did buy. Even though I love MAC, I still love Faces as much.




Long lasting colors if you apply a base before. The creamy bases they sell do some creasing though, so I just use a MAC paint. I use them all as eyeliners with a mixing medium, and they blend like a charm! It's an extremely good quality/price purchase. Just cheat on your favorite make-up brand once and try this!

I really love this eyeshadow. It leaves a smooth finish and the color is great ! I use # 321 wich is a real solid pink. The staying power is also very good. I wear it with a sheer pink lipstick and it makes me look like a doll...almost :)

The eye shadow colors look really nice on display and on the salerep but they seem to disappeared on me. The colors went on very dull. So I advise that you should try it on before you purchase it just incase your eyes are like mine.

I avoided this line for a very long time... I'm not sure why, though... But I finally gave in when I couldn't find the shade I wanted at MAC (I was looking for a matte, dark, earth-y green shade). I found it here as bought the refill to pop into my MAC palette.



I have to say that I am byond impressed. The texture of these shadows is silky smooth, they're highly pigmented, and wear all day with minimum fading or creasing. I recently got rid of many of my MAC shadows as they tended to fade on me, but FACES shadows stay put! IMO the quality of these shadows far exceeds MAC and I will denfinately be looking into getting more of them. And at $7 for a pan, it's cheaper than MAC, too!
