The lifting serum makes my face look taut and fresh immediately after application. It does leave a chalky feel on the skin after drying, though, and as a serum, offers no moisturizing. I think less is more here with the application- use just a little bit! I won't rebuy due to the cost and the fact that I'm switching to all natural face care lines now.

This serum (I don't use the intensifier) is only OK. I use it to spot-treat my naso-labial lines (my "howdy-doodys"), and I have not seen much of a difference in that area since I started using this product a few weeks ago. Actually, I don't know if I see any difference, or if I just desperately want to believe that I can, indeed, slow the inexorable pull of gravity. It's not bad--it doesn't break me out, give me redness, or feel heavy on my face--but I don't think it's worth the dough. It's more of a feel-good product, really: light texture, pleasant scent, the intoxicating if vague promise of "Miracle Broth™". I'll use up my little bottle because I'm frugal like that, and then move on to greener pastures.

In one word EXCELLENT, I received a hefty 15ml sample of the Lifting Serum and I tried my best to make it last just over a month. It made my skin brighter and I was starting to see a tiny laugh line on the left side of my mouth which has now completely disapeared! Love this product, I used it once a daily at bed time. If I could afford £190 per month on just one 30ml serum I would definately buy it.

Plain and simple, this works. Why? I have no idea. I do not buy in to that whole miracle broth crap. I have combination skin. Im 29 and take pretty good care of my skin, paranoid of looking my age. I use physical suncreen and antioxidant serum during the day every day. I break out on the chin during that time of the month. My skin is normal thickness with medium to large pores and it's light but not alabaster pale. I tried this originally as an extra when I purchased the cream. I use the cream at night along with my retin a micro which I use primarily for age prevention and to keep the hormonal breakouts at bay. The serum smelled good and felt good going on. It had a gel like consistency. The cream glided over top of the gel and seemed to sink in better. I woke up in the morning and my skin was tight and glowing. I used up the generous sample (about a month) waiting for a bad skin reaction or for the product to stop working but it didn't. Begrudgingly (it's 150.00) I bought the serum and the radiant infusion as I got addicted to the way my skin looked when I used it. It was brighter, more even toned, pores gone, soft but clear. I can't really gage it's lifting properties as it's not something I need yet persay. I have my moms square face shape so I worry about jowls drooping later on but Im hoping that my preventative measures will starve off the process of aging. When I wear this serum I notice a real difference in my skin. There is no end all be all product for everyone but if you are looking for vibrant, even, glowing, poreless skin I reccomend giving this splurge a try. The packaging is cool too. The dropper is long and well designed so that you pull out exactly the right amount, which is less that what you would think. A little goes a long way. One bottle should last several months.

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this product. In an effort to streamline my skincare regime, I'm purchasing only one or two products. This is pretty interesting stuff. I don't think this serum lifts anything. However, I do think the texture of my skin appears refined and a little more radiant (or shiney, if you will). I've tried it under CDLM and without it and I have to say I prefer it on its own. So ladies over 35: if your skin texture is rough and looks patchy and uneven, you would probably get some nice results from this product. It all gets smoothed out without adding a greasy feeling. To some of you, that may be worth the incredible purchase price. If you are someone who purchases a multitude of products that sit on your shelf, then spending the money for a single product that smooths out the flakiness and can be used day and/or night may very well be worth the price. It does need to be used consistently for best results.

I used samples of The Lifting Serum and The Lifting Intensifier and didn't notice anything in terms of "lifting," but I did notice my face seemed a bit firmer and softer.

I've been using this serum alone for a month now. It gave me instantaneous glow and bright after my first time apply together with Gel de lamer.
Like most MUA reviewers here, I've no idea how this serum would compromise with the lifting effect as it claimed to be. As I dont see very significant lifting effect on my overall face. However, I rather surprise to see my droopy eyelids are gone! My eyelids stand firm, steady n young as never before! I started to believe this serum does do the job! (fyi, I apply the serum on my eyebrows n forehead, which I believed this make the magic to my eyelid)

I got the Lifting Serum as a little sample. I think it's great!
It brightens my face and makes it feel taught and smooth.
It's really small but it's lasted ages. I wish it wasn't so expensive otherwise i'd def repurchace soon. Maybe one day.. haha. x

Another La Mer product I will not be buying again.
It did absolutely nothing for me, I guess at my age this product isn't exactly too handy. It was also sticky and it took ages to sink into the skin, for someone who works in the morning this is rather annoying. I gave the product a packaging quality of 5 because I love the design of the bottle with the drip, lovely.. too bad I can't say the same for the actual product.

I'm addicted to this stuff. I don't use it all the time just after peels or dermabrasion. I feel it really heals up my skin and makes its pearl smooth and soft. I've also noticed it helps with dark circles when i don't sleep enough the night before. This is definitely an HG product.

This is a nice luxury, but I really think that there are better serums out there.
Like a lot of MUA reviewers have said, I don't know what the serum is suuposed to do, but this is a very nice product (and very expensive).
I will investigate other options.

When you get to this age and all starts to succumb to the deadly force of gravity, you need all the help you can get. Although my wallet groans when enlisting the pricey help of this duo, this old skin hallelujahed at the results. My hideous triple chin shrank from triple to half with six months' incessant usage. My bloodhound jowl that previously wobbled with violent movement tautened up visibly; jawline looked leaner and more contoured. Bits that previously sagged and lacked tone has discernibly tightened up. I use them liberally on my turkey neck as well. Hell, can't afford to have my face looking 34 while my neck screams 45! Both serums go on the skin quite sticky and take some time to be fully absorbed, but I ain't complaining! Not when they help me pass off as 28.

Awesome pre-moisturizer serum. I've been using this for about 3 weeks straight and btwn this and the la mer moisturizer (not the creme) my combo skin is super soft and smooth. I also have no breakouts. Btwn the 3 products my face is becoming more normalized. It looks as if it is better quality (my skin) but no dark marks have lightened yet. I want to stop using it to see if i see a negative difference but i just love using it so much i can't stop. it feels so good going on after toning, and before moisturizer and makes the moisturizer go on just right, love it. what a great texture and scent. i would probably rebuy just the lifting serum, because i have no idea what the lifting intensifier does.

Update, 2/13/10: Love this stuff. Very expensive though. But keeps my skin clear and pretty (radiant and gives it a quality look). And now when i use the lifting intensifier repeatedly, it actually does seem to retrain my muscles. very weird. I like it.

I have no idea if this did anything to improve my skin. And I had to leave it upside down on my counter to get the bottle really empty before tossing it.

I received a generous sample of this and was eager to try it. Unfortunately for me, this was not compatible with my skin. I am 27 y/o with combo skin, and this made me break out horribly in places I didn't even get breakouts (ie. on cheeks, around mouth, etc.) Also, it was very sticky and didn't absorb easily.

I think if you have more mature skin, or if you skin is dry, then this might be a good serum to use. However, if you are in any way prone to breakouts or oiliness, I would stay away from this!!

This is my favorite product by La Mer. I am a serum person, although I'm not sure whether serum does anything, scientifically. I used to like Estee Lauder Intensive Night Recovery before, a serum of similar consistency. But I find La Mer much nicer. I'm not sure about any lifting effect, but it feels like a very good overall serum before moisturer.

I bought the Face-Lifting serum by itself (no intensifier) and have been using it for about two and a half months. One eyedropper works for my whole face and neck. Since I started with it, my complexion has totally evened out, I am no longer blotchy, and I have almost no breakouts (used to be quite prone to chin and forehead blemishes, but no more!). The jury is still out on whether or not it helps with anti-aging and lines, since I don't realy have anything too noticable to treat - am 27 years old. But in general, this product is totally worth its very high price (paid $300 Cdn). It might also help to mention that I live in a cold climate (Alberta), which could have some bearing on its usefulness.

These two products were initially quite sticky on my skin, but eventually soaked in all the way and left a smooth surface. They do both seem to work together nicely at firming the skin's appearance. However, I have oily/acne-prone skin, and using these products made my skin break out. They didn't feel particularly heavy or pore-clogging, but nonetheless my skin is broken out now. I will NOT repurchase. These two products would probably be good for people with Normal or Dry skin, but if you are Oily or Acne-prone you should be warned that these products MAY make you break out. Get a sample first. 3 lippies because they did firm my skin as they promised, but then unfortunately caused my skin to break out.
